Those 120hz displays kill battery life. Apple will introduce them once they can solve that. It's rumored the displays this year are indeed 120hz capable but won't be enabled. So it's not about greed as they're there.Except Apple isnt anywhere close to the competition who has 120hz displays and far better cameras. Apple could have put those on the 12, but they are just trying to milk it for the 13 and still charge people insane amounts of money for a pathetic update. Im about Done with Apple and their greed.
Those 120hz displays kill battery life. Apple will introduce them once they can solve that. It's rumored the displays this year are indeed 120hz capable but won't be enabled. They're working on getting the framerate to dynamically adjust like the watch series 5/6 so it's not always 120hz when not needed so it can preserve battery life. Is this something they can add via a software update? I don't know.
And the iphones always rank among the top in terms of cameras. And from the rumors the camera upgrade this year is pretty good. There are not "far" better phone cameras out there. There are cameras that are better in some areas and worse than others. Even android flagships are creeping over $1000.
You don't have to upgrade every year.
So you must be an apple engineer to have inside info? Or you're just making assumptions. Just accept that you don't know and there's more to it than you think.Excuses. Apple has had years to get a 120hz display on the iPhone like the competition. They did on the iPad Pro 2 years ago. So they are either intenionally milking it to make people upgrade next year or they are clueless. Yes, there are far better camera phones out there. Phones with larger sensors, way more megapixels and far better zoom capabilities. Apple has now fallen way behind in camera tech. Huweai, Xiaomi and even Oppo put them to shame.
What about in 3 years though?
Megapixel count is meaningless.
Anybody that has followed Apple knows they don’t slap in hardware and call it a day. They must know what they are doing with this strategy as evidenced in the revenue and value of the company.Excuses. Apple has had years to get a 120hz display on the iPhone like the competition.
The use case for an iPad may be different than a phone? They did on the iPad Pro 2 years ago. Apple cant figure out how to make 120hz displays work on iPhones when cheap Chinese makers can? Please lol.
Apple is doing anything or making people do anything. People do what they want, with their own money. The 120 MHz display in your note 20 is part time only. And frankly your batter use case is anecdotal. They are intenionally milking it to make people upgrade again next year which is pathetic. The 120hz display on my Note 20 ultra doesn't kill my battery. In fact, it has better battery life than my 11 Pro Max with its 60hz display..
Sure three phone makers collectively have a better camera than the iPhone. But the iPhone has a better camera than all three of the ones you mentioned.Yes, there are far better camera phones out there. Phones with larger sensors, way more megapixels and far better zoom capabilities. Apple has now fallen way behind in camera tech. Huweai, Xiaomi and even Oppo put them to shame.
I really looked forward to 12 for its iPad Pro-like design. However, lack of 120Hz is disappointing. I may skip it after all.
120Hz is an absolute must for OSD (obsessive scrolling disorder). Your eyes will thank you.
Megapixels is not an indication of picture accuracy.Watch at 2:40 of this video and get back to me...
120hz displays are around $20 more then the 60 hz screens. That is a good reason for Apple not upgrade until theses 120 hz screen come down in cost!
Megapixels is not an indication of picture accuracy.
Those same anyone’s with working eyes that you cited can understand dynamic range, color accuracy has zero to do with megapixels. So you are dead wrong to say it’s all about megapixels.and anyone with working eyes can see the 108 megapixel photo was a TON more sharp and detailed. So you are dead wrong when you say megapixels don't matter. When you are talking 12 megapixels vs 108, they matter a lot.

Too invested in the Apple ecosystem to do that. I've had my fair share of Android devices back in the day as a secondary device along with seeing way too many malfunctioning ones during my years working for a couple of different carriers. No desire to touch another Android device.Or you can go Android...
Three CDs ripped in Apple lossless (ALAC) take approximately 1GB of space. Two minutes of 4K/60FPS video takes approximately 1.5GB. An HD movie downloaded from the iTunes store takes approximately 4GB.
If you are an avid consumer/producer/editor of media and can't always connect to WiFi/cellular for cloud access, it's very easy to fill huge chunks of drive space.
It's common sense that a larger device can enable better features. So does a more expensive device. What?! The MAX is going to have better specs? Ffs Apple. Why? You’ve not done us badly like this before. I despise big phones, why not give me a smaller alternative with the same high-end specs? Why do I need a Mini iPad Mini just to get the best specs?
Ridiculous. Makes me reconsider an iPhone.
You would think. But some people like to come on here and whine incessantly about how "Apple done them wrong". It's like a broken record.Don't like it, don't buy it, simple.
Apple makes more money from the large size falling out of your rear pocket! the 6.1 is a better fit. I had a 7" Asus and loved the size when using it and hated it for the size in my Pocket. Android OS sucked as well.Is anyone else a little bummed to have to buy the big phone in order to get the best camera?

Why Megapixels Do and Don't Matter For Cameras? - Tricky Enough
The Megapixel of the camera does not matter much. There are other things like Aperture, ISO and shutter speed that matters a lot.www.trickyenough.com
Just google it. TONS of articles explaining why megapixels don't matter that much. Especially on phones. What you want is a larger sensor.
You're just dead wrong.

Everyone can use Face ID. The fact that it fails during the temporary mask era would make this a very opportune time to introduce Touch ID in the side button from a marketing perspective.Get a case with an exposed power button? You don’t need it to be waterproof, since the phone already is. Most people these days can’t use Face ID.
