Except Apple isnt anywhere close to the competition who has 120hz displays and far better cameras. Apple could have put those on the 12, but they are just trying to milk it for the 13 and still charge people insane amounts of money for a pathetic update. Im about Done with Apple and their greed.
What Android/s are you interested in? Android manufacturers tend to really go for max specs and cutting edge feature sets, but the end result isn’t always as polished and provide for a trouble-free experience as one could wish for.
My husband’s S20 Ultra camera is now working pretty well but he’s had to own it for several months worth of incremental software updates for it to be tolerable. I’ve had my share of frustrations with the in-display fingerprint scanner. It just does not work for me. And they have issued the latest Notes with the same FPS.
I like Pixel phones, but they are weak compared to the competition in terms of video recording specs and quality. And this year’s models are very basic in design and specs. There’s nothing wrong with going back to basics, especially in a year like this one, but be aware that there are Android fans as frustrated with this turn of events as you are with what Apple is doing.
I don’t own a OnePlus, but I hear they’re nice phones. However their cameras are said to be lower in quality than Samsung cameras despite the exciting specs. So that’s why I don’t bother with them, since I’ve been in Samsung’s upgrade path for a few years now.
My husband has owned one Huawei phone. It did have a very impressive camera performance that was ahead of all the rest of our American and Korean phones at the time. Unfortunately, they’re not available in the US anymore. If you have access to them wherever you are, go for it. But read up on possible security concerns and lack of Play Store access with some Chinese phones like Huawei.
There are of course other Android phones. I’ve heard mixed opinions on LG.
You will also be losing out on options for cases and accessories that you may be used to having with Apple. Samsung is a brand well supported in the US but LG and Google have far less third party accessory support.
But by all means, if you’re dissatisfied with Apple, do give Android a try. I’ve enjoyed my time experimenting with Android phones and will continue to own them for years to come. I just think people need to make an informed decision about them. It’s easy to declare frustration and say you’re leaving. I have done so myself so I’m not criticizing you for thinking and saying exactly the sort of things I’ve said myself. Just...temper your expectations or you will likely be frustrated making a switch.
Edit: wait I just saw your comment that you already have a Note 20 Ultra? So why are you here blowing a gasket about iPhones? If you think you already have the ultimate experience go out and enjoy it for gods sake.
