Any idea on how to compare the camera quality? I'd like to replace my XS for a small form factor like the 12 mini, but I don't want a regression in photography.
Yes, before masks, those are the two times I prefer Touch are Apple Pay and Getting new appsEveryone can use Face ID. The fact that it fails during the temporary mask era would make this a very opportune time to introduce Touch ID in the side button from a marketing perspective.
But it serves a much larger purpose as for 2-factor authentication. Currently Face ID devices are hampered by the god awful "Double Click The Side Button To Confirm" experience. That is easily improved with Touch ID.
Yea, Im sure that's Apple's official response too, which is pathetically sad. This is a great year to go Android looks like.
Is anyone else a little bummed to have to buy the big phone in order to get the best camera?
If it augments or improves camera focus speed or quality, I’m interested. Not too many people are talking about LIDAR. I think it's going to be a big deal. This will be a pre-cursor to Apple Glass.

You think? To me, it sounds like some gadget no one is really going to use on a daily basis. I see no major game-changing usage. But maybe I'm wrong. We'll see.
I have AR apps waiting for a hands free method of use. However, being able to do it on a phone will be a good alternative for those who are financially stressed or find head mounted displays uncomfortable.
Two issues Android has not managed to resolve. First, years of updates - my 6s still got IOS 14. Second, time to receive updates.Android phones may have specs many people want but the operating system don’t “work” like how IOS do. I don’t care how good the specs are, I refuse to give up simplicity for Android and I used Android when it launched on the G1 until the iPhone 4S launched.
Not just the new name, but the new hue. If you want to look like you have the latest stuff, you won't want space grey anymore, you will have graphite. And note, only the pro models will have it, so you'd better spend big if you want to look like you spend bigIs "graphite" the new name for Space Gray 🤔
It about time!Kang made some edits to his post shortly after posting.
The only difference between a budget class and a Pro is $200.00 on a $700 for budget and Pro $900. But make it equivalent add in $50 for 128 GB storage so it $750.00 or $150.00 difference! Not just the new name, but the new hue. Better how? Better display? Not a huge deal for me.
Its because this year is the biggest test in 5 years for Apple. The need to decide how the iPhone lineup will proceed going forward.
By creating larger and smaller devices, they can see through their internals which models attract the largest orders. I believe in my heart, that the smallest one will be winner and they will have to decide between which of the larger versions to go with on the A16 and beyond.

Telstra in Australia supports mmwave and already have a device that uses it. So hopefully we get that model in Australia. As I will be upgrading my 11 Pro Max for the new 12 Pro Max and I do have 5G in my area so keen to use it.
Umm, hello. Its 2020, hi, welcome. Its not 2009 with slow and buggy Android OS named after desserts that crash constantly. Android has come a long way and completely dominates with 75% marketshare compared to iOS's 24%. You really think 2.5 BILLION Android users are just putting up with a crap OS? Times have changed...
I don't understand this. If I'm not wrong iPhone 11 Pro has 2x optical zoom, it offers 4x zoom only if you consider the ultra-wide lens too. Is the same for iPhone 12 Pro or is telephoto lens supposed to offer actual 4x optical zoom?
After some years I'm finally coming back to iPhone and I've just found a brand new iPhone 11 Pro 256GB at 950/1015€. I don't like Pro Max version because it's too big and if the zoom is the same, I don't see any real difference concerning cameras, except f1.6 and LiDAR: the only noticeable changes would be the new design, 6GB of RAM and A14.
iPhone 12 Pro will be probably sold here at 1359€ + the cost of the power adapter. I think it's not worth the trouble, it's not worth the hassle... what would you do if you were me?
You mean “steal”, not steel - the metal?Only live once, I think!
