Coriolis effect is a myth. Ensure you sluice the water in a consistent way, then refocus yourself on the greater issue of C2D updates :p

Stores are back up.

Nothing much seem to have happened, except a new notice on the store front page - that the ipod deal ends on October 7. I'm betting on the merom for tuesday.
 
Well, that makes it 4 times that I've seen all the Euro stores go down very late in the evening and have no changes when they come back up. I think we can conclude that Euro stores going down around midnight is not indicitive off an update.

That notice has been there for at least a week already.
 
You know, Apple really does have a pulse... Seems like we are it!
Apple makes a move and we are all over it. If you could chart the Mac fanatics out there it would look like the stock market charts!
 
Eugh a Sunday release would just seem dirty for Apple. Tuesday seems nice.

If it were Sunday maybe the Lord himself has actually influenced things! :D

Tuesday is generally considered Apples update day. I myself do not know why, but it just is. It's when we Apple guys sit infront of the screen and scavange around for new Apples products on their stores , like a lion hungry for it's preys flesh.
 
c'mon Apple, hurry up already.

I've been waiting for Core 2 Duo Macbook pro's since August ...
And I REALLY need a new laptop. My IBM's starting to fall apart.

And I'm not ordering a MacBook Pro untill the Meroms get in there.

If they ever do ...
 
Ah well.... off to bed for me. What are we all going to do when the updates are actually announced?! In a twisted way, this is all kind of fun.... :) The thrill of the chase!

Heh, sadly you're right.... My other half doesn't love it though. She believes i could 'do something more productive with my time'. I'll convert her yet :D
 
She hasn't seen the light of Apple Speculation Forums. :D

I used to lurk about , but just registered. We probably will moan about a Meow....as everything Apple releases must be perfect from Mach 1 :)

However, in all seriousness within 2 weeks of the new MBP we will actually have a thread discussing the same things and a hope for a redesign! (presuming there is no redesign on tuesday , and even though the current design is flawless and still way ahead of it's time ((minus the DL DVDRW)) )
 
the stores going down.....

Okay so the stores went down and nothing was apparently new when they were put back up....


...but i do remember the stores (or at least the US only) going down a few days before the launch of the new 24" iMac C2D, then coming back up with seemingly nothing to report. Around late evening as well.

Everyone seems to forget these things so quickly.

Perhaps they were testing linkage on the store?

Could be nothing, could be something. No predictions would be new ones but i am betting on an update very soon.

10/10 anyone! :)
 
if apple were to create one 15.4" MBP (like the mac pro) which you can configure up or down what do you think the default would be?
