I have the Slim Armor in Metal Slate on my iPhone 5. My issue with it is that the plastic scuffs very easily and looks bad after a month or so. I ordered a Neo Hybrid replacement for the 5 and the same for the N3 at same time, although it's shipping mid October. I got it in Satin Silver actually, not white.

The TPU used by Spigen is very good, doesn't hold lint or get tacky and very durable.

I went for the funky spigen bounce.

Those who are interested in getting the wireless charging pad for note 3..the USB 3.0 charging cable will work with it.

Did you buy one? What's the charging time like. My S4 wireless charging does take a bit longer to charge but its so handy, I wonder if there's any benefit with the note 3 version supporting the USB 3 cable, as I thought QI had a fixed cap for power anyway, so not sure supporting USB 3 would add any real tangible benefit .

Mine charged on about 2 hours using USB 3.0 cable

Compared to an iPhone 5, how is the Note 3 handling?
When you are sitting down and can use both hands, I reckon it's not a problem.
How about on the go?
I often use my iPhone 5 on the move to check emails, catch up on forums and such.
I can do this while walking around with my wife at a store or while commuting on public transportations and such.
Is it to impractical to use the Note 3 on the go?

Cheers!

Compared to my ip4, the handling is very different, obviously.

Even coming from my Galaxy S3 which is not a tiny phone, the size of the GN3 definitely takes some getting used to. It took me a day to adjust to the new size, weight and grip. On the plus side, the weight and weight distribution of the phone makes acclimatization quite easy.

One handed use is easily possible for some things like browsing (I use FF with gestures addon) , but not all things. For most heavy-duty usage, you definitely need to use two hands.

I am 5 ft 9" with averagish sized hands and I have no problems with one-handed use of the phone for casual stuff.

The phone fits fine in my casual jeans/chinos as well as business pants (which have smaller pockets). No issues with sitting, walking etc.

In summary, considering the size advantages and drawbacks, it is an excellent replacement for a phone + tablet.

Those Spigen cases look nice!
I've put on a on a a good Spigen screen protector and a cheap SG$6 flexible translucent polymer case on my note at the moment. I am open to getting a new case down the line.

ugh this entire time I thought the phone was released on AT&T on October 1st....then I came here and realized I'd have to wait even longer.... :(

I got to use a Note 3 for an extended period of time today. As an S4 owner, these are the things that stood out for me, apart from the obvious screen size:

- Touchwiz absolutely screamed and once animations and transitions were turned off, it was a great experience

- Disparity between native apps and menu design were more cohesive and made sense

- The screen was very BRIGHT (could this be due to the increases pixel size?Is the sub-pixel arrangement different?). Text was so clear and crisp. Could it have been placebo, as it seemed crisper that my S4?

- Feel was fantastic. I admit, that I was leery when I saw photos of the faux leather back, but it adds a nice texture and feel... better than the S4.

- I couldn't believe how snappy the s-pen responses were, hovering over the different options.

- Rendition of frames was seamless. Files played back at 1080p showed no signs of tearing.

I may just pick one up!

Thanks for the tip. Looking like the neo hybrid might be the first case I try out.

It isn't a very good one handed phone except to browse a little and text/email.

But you have to use the one handed mode feature.

Great thing about the note 2 (which isn't he same size) is it fits in the pocket without problem, you get a better screen size, it isn't bulky, and the stylus is just great.

Note 3 isn't going to have any phones to compare it to foe a while because it's in a league of its own

An update would be nice.

Some kind of idea at least. I have been waiting patiently.

When I go to my order status on ATT.com it still has the "preparing to ship and the 9/11-9/13 date".

When I search for the Note 3 on the ATT site I see this under the product information:

"Your Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be shipped on October 2, 2013."

Fun times!

so how is the market for selling the Note 2? The N2 is my first android device. In the past I've always had success reselling my previous-gen 16gb iphones when upgrading to current year model. I typically get about $350-$380 on craigslist after receiving the latest and greatest...what is it like for android?

I buy and sell a bunch of phones and the Notes and Galaxy S phones hold value pretty good. You will have no issue getting 300+ out of a Note 2

I hate spreading rumors but keeping some ATT guys informed.

According to multiple calls to CSR they have advised that ATT is short 7500 pieces and shipping dates for anyone that has pre-ordered as early as 9/6 now have a ship date of 10/11-10/13

That is a Friday through Sunday so not sure it can be trusted but these people have been adamant and have gotten 6 months free family texting.

Just providing what I have heard.

Just spoke with an ATT rep and they confirmed my order is shipping today or tomorrow. I pre-ordered on the first day at an AT&T store.

i just chatted with a rep online and they told me the same thing...i suspect they are just reading the same order status screen on their computer...i'll believe it when i get a tracking number

Did anyone see the ArsTechnica review? They have a video of the Note 3 running the Gallery app and its taking like 2.5 minutes to even show anything after you execute it.

What is up with that?

Rename the gallery to geekbench and it'll open up super fast. :D

This is the first I've heard of this. If it was a real issue, I'm sure it would've been brought up a lot earlier.

I asked if they could confirm its shipping today or tomorrow or if they're just reading an estimate time on their screen and they said its confirmed. Whether or not its true, we'll find out. If not, get ready to offer me some inconvenience credit towards my future bills..
