To experience everything you've listed is highly unusual. I have but two suggestions.

1) Perform a factory reset. Doing a factory reset is fast and easy. It'll even reload all you're apps automatically if you watch for that option when preparing to restore

2) Return it.

The Note 3 has been one of the very best yet. I've bought three for family members and every single one is exemplary.

----------

I love my Note 3, it's the best phone I've used to date. I have no plans to return this phone as I'm past my 14 day return period(Again it's an awesome phone, why return it?). I'd consider swapping it for a new one if that's was an option. It does this on occasion, and has only started recently. I will wait it out for a few more days, and if it still continues I will consider doing a factory restore. Thanks!

Can anyone tell me how big of a difference the "Power Saving" is versus none? Is it running the CPU or graphics slower or what exactly?

I have "Power Saving" on and Asphalt 8 runs without any noticable lag or lower quality.

Am I missing something?

All it does is things like turn off haptic feedback, the capacitive buttons don't light up etc...doesnt do anything to the CPU or GPU. Its supposed to be good for about an extra 10% battery life. Anyone who needs help preserving battery life in a phone with a giant 3200 MaH battery has serious issues :p

Because that battery lasts all day, right? /sarcasm

Mine sure does. And that's a day of heavy use, consististing of hours of SiriusXM / Spotify bluetooth streaming in the car, lots of email, web browsing and more. Oh and brightness at 100%. All day, everyday.

um, the phone literally explains to you what features power saving has

how are you missing these things?

Mine does. Anywhere from 14-17 hours and I still have well over 30% when it hits the charger again. I don't obsess over battery like though. I have a wall charger and a car charger. Can't think of anywhere I would be when I couldn't charge my phone if needed during the day

Respectfully, please don't make up stories as though you know what you're talking about when you don't.

Their are several optional settings available to the user. One is the ability to reduce CPU usage to save power. Contrary to what you've claimed.

Serious issues involve you making things up...not involving the battery as you claim.

I _know_ because I own one.

My Note 3 would last me all day long until bed time with some left with heavy usage. And 2 days with moderate usage. The battery life in the Note line is absolutely ridiculous.

I use mine heavily all throughout the day.

After using it exclusively as a laptop replacement on highly mobile day's, I'm enjoying 15 ~ 17 hours & it's got 32% remaining.

My Note 3 is one outstanding smartphone.

good job. I ordered one from Ebay 4 weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived :(

have a look on amazon. They have a few colour options. Was quick from who I ordered it from.

Yeah I get over 1 day everyday..when i'm at home it will die quicker as i'm using it alot so get over 6 hours screen time when at home. but even then it will last me at worse 20 hours.

plus this is why having a removeable battery is so amazing. went to manchester on sunday got 1 day use then my phone died about 17.30 and just replaced it with a new battery and had another 100% to play with on the way back.

You're kidding, right?

I sure think you are because no way that battery lasts all day with that kind of usage & brightness to 100%.

How do you guys get such battery life?

I just have a brand new Note 3 and Battery and I get maybe half a day at most with heavy usage (Spotify, some YouTube, Gaming, Web).

You may have an app running consistently in the background eating your juice. Check battery stats for most used and post screenshot.

Isn't that normal that a couple of services/ app run in the background?

Here's the screenshot. My brightness is set to about 40% and "Power Saving" is on too.

on really heavy use i would get maybe 6-7 hours screen time on wifi and still manage at least 12-15 hours total. on lighter use 1 day to 1 day-6 hours at least.

I would check whats eating your battery.

google services at 6% isn't normal.

I have now killed a few third party app processes/ uninstalled that I don't really need. As well as shut off GPS.

I don't wanna give up DashClock widget with Weather extension though even though I know widgets can drain a battery a bit faster.

That's normally only comes up if you have been using gps

Think gps is the main cause.. Shouldn't be app related. I only get it when using locations.

maybe post a screenshot after you used more than 2% of the battery. also, what apps are you running in the notification bar

Better to post a screenshot when you have been on battery for a long time and coming to the point where you really need to charge because statistics after a fresh charge are not going to really tell us anything.

However I will say I usually get around 40 mins screen on time per hour and thats with auto brightness + 5 setting.

Post another at the end of the day please. After 2% no one here can tell you anything.

Feels like it. When I had GPS on it felt like the battery was draining by the minute even with screen shut off. I will check how it is in the next hours but so far it seems there's some improvement.

Yeah

Best bet run the battery all the way to Dead then charge and it should fix it
