Does it have the same texture as the standard back cover of the note? Also could you please share your wallpaper?
Yeah it's the same.. Maybe a little smoother
Yeah sure
Here's my wallpaper

Nope. Same here. And no case needed. Unlike iPhone 5S this one doesn't scratch at all. iPhones scratch and chip away on the metal casing, hard edges so fast it's unreal. The Note 3 not at all. I love that the back is this faux leather plastic that can be removed/ replaced. And it's great soft ergonomic and because of the texture it doesn't scratch.
sadly they don't sell otter box cases in the uk
only spigen
I've bought an otter box case for my S4 from Amazon UK and I also had one for my original galaxy note, which I also bought from Amazon. I'm sure you can get one for the note 3 from Amazon too.
My s view cover
Anyone know if it's possible to skin (change) the UI of the I Samsung TouchWiz, like pop ups and the notification panel/ settings?
I got KitKat launcher but that only covers the desktop, icons, folders, not a complete system wide UI theming.
Any ideas?
they sell s4 otter box but not note 3...
if you can somehow post me the link that will be great

is the s-view better than the spigen?
You need to run a full custom rom for that. But I wouldn't be surprised that we end up with a new UI design for our 4.4 update in January. I also wouldn't be surprised if it ends up looking something very similar to what we saw in the Tizen 3.0 UI.
Havnt got the spigen so wouldn't know but the s view cover is the best case for me. To be able to answer calls with it shut, take pics, listen to music, take memos with it all shut is a great feature. Reading texts closed is very good indeed. It also protects the phone slightly at the top and bottom while still making it a light device
Does it stay closed? Do you think the plastic window will get scratches easily? On Amazon, there are some (non oem) cases (less than $20) that actually work with the window but customers lament the difficulty in attaching the back. With the s view cover case, how difficult is it?

Interesting, I will keep an eye on it.Yeah it stays closed once you use it for a bit. Stays closed better than the one on the s4 did. I do have one small scratch on it but normally Havnt had an issue. It is prone to dust though so I have to clean it a fair amount
The cheap ones with window don't actually work. I know cause I bought two... They both ended up in the bin. Waste of money.
I retract my former criticism of the sview. I have come around to loving it. The one thing that could really enhance it would be a magnet like a iPad to snap it shut. I dropped my phone and luckily it landed closed. But it was just that luck.
the sview isn't really offer good protection does it?
If you are lucky and it lands closed then it is good but if it lands open the phone might as well be naked.
Also I use this app "Text Me" for free VOIP text messaging over wifi. Could this be the reason as it may be always requiring wifi signal even in idle mode?
Thats probably not helping and the KK launcher drains battery too. My battery life is exceptional.
What's your best Note 3 battery life "on battery" since a 100% charge?
So far I have about 6hrs now and it's at 51%, assuming it would be 12 hours to drain the battery fully.
That said I have GPS/ Bluetooth turned off. Also use the Kit Kat launcher (not sure if that influences the battery, yet). And using it moderately with a bit of browsing, twitter, messaging/ email and about 30min of gaming so far. Oh and screen brightness is approx 30-40%
I'm curious what you guys have on battery life and what kind of stuff you do on the Note 3.
Sorry for the confusion... I don't run the phone at 70% brightness all the time, but only while watching videos. It is at 20-30% the rest of the time since I work indoors in an office environment. I don't like reading on overly bright screens...hurts my eyes.
Only outside or for watching videos do I bump up the brightness to above 50%. The Note 3's screen is very bright; at bedtime with the room lights off, if I browse the web, I have to set the screen to 0% and use a screen filter app to reduce the brightness further lol.
