Couldn't hold on any longer. Just picked up my Galaxy Note 3 the other day and it is FANTASTIC! Stupid long battery life.

Trying to sell my GS4 and HTC One now.

My only reason why I've got both the Note 3 and the iPhone 5c....

Sweet Irony - Note 3 4.4

So I flashed my Vodafone Note 3 with UK BTU rom and then changed my CSC to BTU in order to get OTA updates and in process tripped Knox.... I accepted this as a trade off for getting faster updates....

Now ... BTU update is MIA and Vodafone Ireland 4.4 is out.

Oh sweet Irony.... I utterly HATE how updates are rolled out on Android devices.

Unlucky mate :(

I'm waiting for an official CM build and I'm going to flash that. Bugger the risks.

I finally got sick of waiting for an OTA and just went ahead and put on a ROM from my favorite developer.

So now I'm running Jedi Elite with an OC kernel. Wish CWM wasn't so buggy, I'm not particularly happy about being stuck with TWRP. Especially after being soft bricked by an encryption error when jumping from a TW ROM to an AOSP while using it (On my N2).

Oh well. It's amazing how a good ROM can really bring out the best in a phone...

Edit: They are sending out replacement devices from Samsung with the Knox flag tripped. I'm thinking they may still work with you even if you've modded.

Just wish the update would arrive. One thing I liked apple for was hoe the updated the software. Shame it can't be done the same way

The reason why is because they have to add their bloat. They've also got to test for certain compatibilities with the firmware, kernel, etc.

Apple controls all hardware and software. Android is open sourced, so multiple platforms to work across both hardware and software.

You guys are getting too anxious for an update that isn't that big of a deal.

Seriously, I wouldn't root and mess stuff for 4.4.

I bought the HTC One and Note 3 later than most. While I did not get to enjoy each sooner, the wait is that much more tolerable. :)

thinking about buying this to replace my iphone 5

question is, how do you listen to music that is not streamed. i have some playlists in itunes and would like an easy way to listen to music without copying individual songs

If you're using Google Play Music you can "pin" songs and albums for offline use. They'll then be downloaded and stored locally.

i have about 70GB in my itunes library i sync to my iphone when i work out. and sometimes listen on the train

I use iSync, it reads your iTunes library and will sync what you select. It doesn't update automatically though, so first you have to launch iTunes and then iSync, and the ui isnt that nice, but it works.

what about a word processor? Pages is pretty good but icloud is so so

i also have dropbox and google drive.
