I honestly don't care what screen my phone has as long as it's durable, looks great and is the "best" there is to offer. Spending nearly 1k on a device makes my assp twitch...... but if I know it's got top of the components I don't mind.

Now that Samsung is clearly the leader in Smartphone Innovation, this will make it easier for Apple. Following Samsung's lead Apple will have a chance to copy what works and avoid what doesn’t. Apple won't be under pressure to be first.
Besides iPhones sell no matter what, therefore Apple will be in a great position if they choose to coast while profit taking like they did a few years ago, rather than increase display size. When Apple holds back and make customers wait, they prove how good their grip is on their user base.

Another thing you don't get to do is post on a public forum and decide who comments on what. Frankly pretty bizarre that you think so. I'm thinking you're probably pretty young. (15 or 16, perhaps?) If you're too embarrassed to stand by your comment, you should've thought first before you posted it. Especially in a forum hosted by a Mac enthusiast publication. Duh.
You can comment, but it's not up for debate that iProducts are purchased out of vanity and/or ignorance. Perhaps you're too young to have seen that trend over the last 15 years?
I am not talking about AMOLED or OLED specifically, I am talking about cutting edge technology generally.
Apple is laughing all the way to the bank, what with their legions of vain and/or ignorant consumers. Certainly the 75 million iPhones sold last quarter were gobbled up by the vain and the ignorant.

samsung is clearly the leader in throwing hardware at a problem and they do it wonderfully.
Sold my 6S Plus to get a Galaxy S7 Edge. Apple is falling way, way behind.

I pre ordered mine. Should be here next week! I order the S7 Edge 32Gb and I have a 128GB SD Card to put in it too!
I am going on vacation to Legoland in mid March so it will tested vigorously taking pics and video!
Unfortunately, that's how a lot of the hardcore fanboys are and even if you give them facts to refute it, they dismiss it in some way. Sad really.

I don't have huge problems with TouchWiz... but I can say that Samsung's camera and software keeps me coming back to their devices.

Currently, OLED manufacturers have used high drive power to increase efficiency, but component lifespans have been shortened as a result. The current solution is to connect layers of OLED structures to improve luminous efficiency. If two different structured OLEDs are laminated together during deposition, it can create a much stronger light, nearly two times as bright under the same power drive.
