Well it really is impossible. Water resistant to a point yes. Waterproof not so much for either phone. How is it possible to have a headphone jack and still be waterproof??
Apple told me this is impossible

Yep it only took 5 years to finally beat LCD technology.Samsung continues its tradition of having the best display on the planet for years in a row. Nothing comes close
Not really. Because the Note 8 is going to fix the flaws on the S8 and release close to the iPhone 8 with an even gorgeous display and design
Most people on here from what I've seen don't talk specs about Apple hardware, they talk benchmarks. What?

As I've been told many times on this forum. Specs don't matter... well, unless they support your argument.Yeah, they matter then.
. Seriously. Does it have a decent camera? A good screen? Those two things have sold more phones than any SoC, NAND, or Enclave.
I think they do when it comes to the actual performance you receive from the device. People know they can buy an iPhone and use it for four years with regular software updates because it's a really fast device to start with. It has more efficient software paired with the fastest, custom hardware. Stuff like that enables the really nice camera features such as image processing each time you snap a photo. It also enables things like portrait mode and things we haven't even thought of yet. Historically it's enabled things like HDR and on-the-fly panorama stitching. The performance is a huge benefit, but it's marketed in such a way that consumers don't realize it's so important because Apple markets what you can do with the performance. Samsung talks a lot about cores and megapixels, Apple shows you what you can do with it.What?

Here's a hypothetical:
Thinking about the iPhone render from the other day that showed the circle in the back (which everyone assumed to be the fingerprint scanner)... what if it's a cutout for a ceramic circle for wirelessly charging similar to the Apple Watch magnetic back?
My guess is simply OS optimization. The smooth ecosystem between iOS devices is far more stable than the hardware fragmented ecosystem of Android. The issue lies deeper in the fact that big Android manufacturers like Samsung and LG have their own versions of Android. Snapchat is developing their applications for the Android OS, not the Samsung or LG branded OS' that are built for "full" compatibility with stock Android devices, like the Pixel. The phones resources for its camera ends up going underutilized as a result. Why is there a difference?
One problem: I don't see how Apple could give case manufacturers advance notice of the location of a rear Touch Id without alerting MR and the other rumor sites...

Can't wait to get my S8 in a few days. Been a loyal iPhone user since the first one. The iPhone 7 was a slap to the face for hardcore iPhone fans.
Apple will eat Samsung's lunch if they can get a huge display on the front with Touch ID integrated into the display. If they put the button on the back, then they're no better than Samsung. Why bother? It goes against every design principle Apple has ever had about the iPhone to put the button on the back. I don't think it will happen. Either we'll get a redesigned iPhone this year or we won't, but it won't have that stupid button on the back.
Yawn. Let me know when a Galaxy can outperform iPhone on benchmarks like Javascript execution, sequential SSD read/write, GPU performance.
So basically The Verge gave it a 9 because they like the industrial design. The camera is essentially the same as last year but they put it in the good column. If Apple released a new phone with next to no camera improvements The Verge would nail them for it.
Pretty sure Apple could just do a 7s/7s+ With improved specs and still outsell the S8 this year.Apple has big shoes to fill this fall. If there is no design change, Apple will lose major ground to Samsung by more than half of the market share.
If it explodes, definitely not!Nobody likes it in the rear!
