Totally curious. Do people go to the beach with these things? And how do you not break it with all the sand around?
I took my OG pixel fold to the beach and it was fine but I was very careful. Kept it in a zip pick in my backpack. Took the s25U this year. Just made more sense with the better camera.

Well, I guess I'm now looking for a Fold 7 case. Why is most of them like half a case for this thing? Either you only get back protection or they're super thicc.

Spigen Aramid case is super thin and you get front and rear sections. I've fitted the Spigen magsafe ring to mine as well.

I've got the Slim Armor case also with Magsafe built in.

Quite like the look of the UAG case too

Setting up now.

In my humble opinion, if you have a Flip 6 get the the 7. The wider main screen and cover screen alone are worth the upgrade. The full cover screen is the cherry on top. It really does look futuristic with such minimal bezels.

If you have the Watch6 Classic, get the Watch8 Classic. This watch lays on your skin like a regular watch. Something that can't be said for other smartwatches. Once again, in my humble opinion, the Watch8 Classic is hands down the most premium looking smartwatches out there. The cushion case design is exactly what makes this smartwatch look so premium. Very unique for smartwatches. I don't think there's another smartwatch doing the cushion case. Samsung's hybrid band is the best of both worlds for the leather look, with the comfort and water resistance of silicone. Love it. Samsung nailed it this year.

Loving the Flip so far. All the nonsense about the lack of apps on the cover screen is a giant nothingburger. Goodlock and Multistar are simple to use and completely solve that. I have all of my messaging and email apps, music, Audible, maps, on the cover screen performing flawlessly.

I hate the official Samsung cases and am glad I didn't pay any money for them (but also mad that I wasted all of the pre-order credits on them). The Kindsuit case causes glass screen protectors to bubble up on the cover screen. Better luck with the clear case, same terrible adhesive but the silicone case material gives a bit and doesn't really interfere with the screen protector. The adhesives on the sides of the cases are terrible and lose stickiness very quickly - it hasn't even been 24 hours and I only removed the case twice. I ordered some double sided 2mm tape from Amazon that allegedly works wonders for these cases, we'll see.

If you want a quality glass screen protector for the cover screen Zagg Glass+ is perfect and lifetime warranty from them and Best Buy.

It's too early for me to decide but so far I don't miss using the S25U. LOVE the fingerprint scanner built into the power button. Much prefer this over the ultrasonic one, reminds me of the S10e that I loved so much.

Mine is arriving this afternoon and what the heck, gonna give it a shot. I'm guessing I'm going to love it but the funny thing is that probably the biggest decision maker on my end will be if SongBook Pro has full screen tablet support. I could use this thing on stage as a tablet for chords and lyrics. Yeah I cheat but when you're playing close to 50 songs per night, you need a little support lol. Actually, I'm going to try to see how all apps handle the inner screen. I feel like I could deal with the battery and camera being slightly downgraded but if the apps don't look good, then it's for sure going back.

So, this setup is replacing your S25U? Or did you use some other tablet for the SongBook Pro app?

It would be replacing the Ultra. So we'll see!
Well, I believe you going to enjoy it... we await to see your thoughts on it! And all the Good Lock modules should be supported on it... HomeUp just these past few days received an update for One UI 8.

So I received Fold 7 today and I don’t really like the form factor. The cover screen is too narrow, and the tablet form I’m not really enjoying. I didn’t ever really go down the tablet route. I always stuck with the max size slab phones and think I prefer them over the fold.

The crazy thing is, it really isn't that narrow unless you are used to a phone like the S25U or the Pro Max version of the iPhone. I held it against my 9 Pro Fold last night and the screens are almost the exact same width with the Note 7 maybe just a hair wider but it looks much more narrow because of the added height. I'd actually like to see it a little shorter and a little wider like the original Pixel Fold to open up to a landscape oriented inner screen, but this is a huge step forward for usability as far as the outside screen is concerned.

This is it. I use the max size models and find th screen sizes perfect for me needs. In fact, ever since the first max size phone, I stopped using a tablet.

It's funny because I'm actually getting sick of screens that are so huge. So I'm interested to see if the thinner outer screen ends up being a positive.

That’ll be interesting. When I see the regular phones I do think they look great but when I use my partners 16 Pro I find it too small. The pro max/S25U sizes I find perfect and like I said, I haven’t bought a tablet in years since first using the Pro Max.

Although, the build quality on this Fold 7 is incredible. The inner screen is nice but I don’t like that I can see the factory screen protector around the edge - I’ve never used screen protectors.

You're absolutely right about the nonsense about the cover screen apps. It's so easily resolved. As for cases, I go caseless for the first two years, as I have Samsung Care+ for two years. I'll put on a case in the third year. I'm so satisfied with this phone that I will be extending my upgrade cycle to 3 years now. There's not much more they can do to this form factor to get me to upgrade in a year or two. Thinner, lighter, and a bigger battery are good reasons to upgrade, but the Flip7 does more than I need in those categories. For scratch protection, I am using a flexible TPU for the cover screen and back glass. I've been using the Flip since the Flip 3, so I know this is the form factor for me. The compact form factor is not something I'm willing to give up at the moment. Even if I eventually get a Fold, which may be the Fold 10, I will most definitely get a Flip at the same time.

We are unpacked and set up. There's actually a lot of me that's unsure about this, but I think it's just stuff to get used to haha. SongBook Pro though, OMG exactly what I needed. I have the whole song on the screen instead of having it scroll. Love that. More to come.

So I say this completely knowing that I need more time to let it settle in, but so far I'm very impressed but also underwhelmed. The outer screen is what it is, I know it's not supposed to be the highlight of the phone, but coming from the S25 Ultra, it's really underwhelming. The inner screen seems really great, but I did notice a little bit of lagging when I was scrolling Facebook just now. Might just be the app not fully optimized.

My hunch is that it's going back to Samsung, but I'm going to spend some more time with it.
