If you hold the device with your left hand, 4 fingers on the back and your thumb on the top left edge, then your right hand index finger is aligned with the right edge as if your were going to use the volume button, then you simply push with your right hand thumb near the hinge at the bottom edge on the right hand panel

Sounds complicated but actually really easy 🙂
Do you mean kinda like this?

That's how I've been doing it too.

Yes but with the right thumb on the bezel close to the hinge.
I figured, I copied your message into Copilot and asked it to come up with an illustration. I corrected it three times and told it to move the right thumb a bit lower, closer to the bezel and the fold, but it kept giving me the same illustration. I was getting annoyed, so I asked ChatGPT to do the same... you should see what it came up with 😹😹😹

Exactly like a book with the thumb on edges and with a slim case it's easier for me., when I one hand it left hand same way with 4 fingers back and thumb on edge I come up to my chest behind the right edge to help close it hahah

That's funny!

I think the only thing Samsung warns not to do is to flip it open/close like one of those older Razr phones.

Also, is there a way to stop the dock apps from being “switched” based on what the phone thinks I want when I multitask? I prefer consistency. I want the apps I’ve placed in the dock to stay there, even when I open the multitasking menu.
Not sure what you mean... could I get some clarity here? Are you referring to taskbar in general? Or is it the Show Recent or suggested apps on the taskbar?

Yeah I think he just needs to turn off the show recent apps.

This is my dock. Completely full.

This is what @mjschabow refers to as recent apps

I thought I had deactivated recent apps 🫠

According to the info in this video. It’s the first item. The Flip 7 has underperformed sales wise, losing out to Motorola, whilst the Fold 7 has exceeded sales expectations.

I have a good amount of friends that are using the flip and most of them just have no desire to upgrade most of them are sticking with the flip 5 or previous while new sales interest in Fold 7 is at a high for new people and upgrades enough for current Fold peeps

Ahhh… well, there’s Settings in this area (3 dots) where you toggle it on to only get Recommendation apps. That’s why there’s some inconsistency when it comes to what apps show up.

Oh perfect! That fixed for me, thank you so much! 🫶🏼

Yes, it was that, I just didn't know how to access those settings, I was looking for them in the settings menu 🫢. Thank you!

I mostly use Google Photos, but I think there’s a bug. If you take a screenshot and tap on it while it’s still ‘floating,’ any edits (like cropping) aren’t saved, even after hitting save. However, if you tap one of the action buttons below the screenshot and edit from there, the changes do stick.

Interestingly, there’s no setting I know of to choose a default gallery app, and I’m not sure why it defaults to Google Photos. I’d be fine using Samsung’s Gallery app for quick edits, but tapping the screenshot defaults to Google Photos, which, as I mentioned, doesn’t work. If you open the screenshot manually in Google Photos, edits are saved properly.

Does this happen to you too?
