Just finished Nico and Dani.

To be honest, it was a bit of a letdown. I wanted to see a blossoming romance. I felt no closure at the end. Dani never voiced his attraction to Nico. I just felt that there was still more story to tell at the end.

Next up: Beautiful Thing.

scem0 I know you are disappointed. But time does heal the wounds.Trust me on that.

I know that I have had my share of coulda, woulda's. But many did not come close to what you wanted to embark upon.

In some ways the pause in my life, while frustrating, was also good for me. I am making up for lost time with my travels. Even now I am trying to gauge interest in a MR meet in NYC the weekend of November 20th.

I may be able to do that...I'm supposed to go to Deep Creek for the yearly family Thanksgiving meetup, but I can delay a day.

Emerson, two vintage gay-themed movies you might see if Netflix has are "My Beautiful Laudrette" which featured a young Daniel Day Lewis, and "Parting Glances" which featured a young Steve Buschemi.

Are those really vintage? Only 10 or 15 years old...

Daniel Day Lewis... yummy. He was so good looking in The Crucible.

I like the suburbanites :) - NYC boys are too NYC-boy-ish, if you know what I mean.
Do you mean Chelsea Boys? They are a different breed of gay men, but, they don't really represent all of the gay men that live in NYC. The great thing about NYC is the ethnic and racial mix of people from all walks of life that make up the vast gay community that lives here. It's a big gay candy store! The clubs you frequent in the west village and chelsea area are full of the buff-bodied Chelsea Boys. Go to some of the bars or clubs in the east village for a very different scene and crowd.

There are fireworks going off right now somewhere in Central Park, I think. I can hear them, but, can't see them. When I hear these loud booming explosions, my first thought is not "Fireworks" since 9-11.

The NYC boys are cuter though. I always have fun with them. :)

I'm a NYC boy and you'll have a lot of fun dancing me come December ;) (or whenever you end up in NYC).

The only east village bar I've been to was no fun at all, I'm not into that indie punker look. It has become so contrived and different than what it once was.

Actually Dave, My Beautiful Laundrette was 1985 and Parting Glances was a year later in 1986. That makes them nearly 20 years and older than Emerson. And Thank You for Bringing that up you have just made me feel my age, and I think I'll have an attack of the vapours now and I shall have to lay down to recover.

I don't think the "age is only a number" expression applies to only relationships - I think that you can be any age you want Kevin :). I know some 18 year olds that act like 40 year olds, and at least one 38 year old who's still having his fun ;). So, life is what you make of it, that's all I'm saying. :)

Bingo! I'm not saying I haven't slowed down, but I'm hardly near my grave. :) Life is indeed what you make of it.

Ha ha ha, yep, I take your point, but my tongue was somewhat 'in cheek' And as well you know, I have some good days, and some that are better. How's that for conceptualization ?

Hey don't worry Kevin, They're not older than me :) And you're as young as the body you feel. Or something like that :D

Oh and Chip what exactly are you trying to imply about me being parental and all toward scem0. I've not got a parental bone in my body I'll have you know :) Besides i'm only like 6 years older than him :) Don't make me old before my time mate :D
[Actually a thought has just occurred to me. When I started working, Emerson was in his first year of high school. Damn!! Ok not old yet, but certainly on the way]

Ok so little mini drama for me today :) Came out to one of my cousins today. [I'm out to all my mates and work colleagues, but very little of my family] That brings the total number of cousins i'm out to, to 4. So far the reactions have all been positive. It's actually brought me a lot closer to them, which is good as my family is becoming a lot more important to me now that i'm more secure with myself.

In the last year or so there are about 8 or so of us cousins that have become really close. More like brothers and sisters than cousins. Well now i've told all the guys, it's on to the girls :) Just need the right time.

I can't ever see myself ever being completely out to all of my family. The community is too conservative and i guess for most of them it would just be more trouble that it was worth. Besides as long as the ones that are really close to me know, that's important.

Anyway i'll be back at work on Monday and I'll see you guys then

Zaid, yeah I agree, it all has to do with the body you're feeling at the time. He he he.

Excuse me? You think that's bad, I was in college when scem0 was born!

Let's not turn this into the "what where you doing when scem0 was born?" thread ;).

I feel so young already, I don't need to feel any younger :).
