Yah I don't normally use FMF.
But those are the only apps I don't use.
News is redundant for me since I use BBC, CNN, and NPR. Movies....I don't really use.
But honestly, six apps as opposed to the dozen or more that I have to disable to Samsung? No brainer.

Some of those you can even remove if you want like pages, iMovie and iTunes U.

I don't consider any Apple app bloat ware as they are all useful. So my phone doesn't have a "junk " folder.

Lets see what inside my 'Extra :apple: Junk' Folder :
- Game Center
- Newsstand
- Tips
- iTunes Store
- iBooks
- Podcasts
- Voice Memos
- Stocks
- Compass
- FaceTime
- Health

If you're finding a use for all these apps - lucky you, for me (and others) they are useless and wish i could erase them.
I would prefer to have them in the app store in case i would like to use them, instead of having them pre-installed and taking space without the option to take them off.

But you are happy to have devices with loads of bits made by Samsung inside them? How weird. .

Why is that weird? Ever heard the saying "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts"?

OK....do you buy any commodity based on the internals regardless of the implementation of those internals? I don't. I buy a product that functions how I want it to.

I've got the same internal components as Angelina Jolie. And I'm far far far from being Angelina Jolie. I am considering a Honda Pilot or a Honda Ridgeline. Both use same components but I will choose one that executes closest to my needs.

I care about my experience with the device. I care about support. I can go to an Apple Store and make a genius appointment and get whatever resolved. Right there. With Samsung I'm referred to AT&T. With Apple I have no issues. With Samsung I've had not one device that works as it should after the first update. That's why I don't care what chip I've got. And I've got the Samsung chip. I care about the dependability of my device. And that dependability I get on Apple. Not Samsung.

Which is the reason I buy Apple and no longer buy Samsung.

lots of bugs.. yesterday my 6s+ was just showing me the red button (stopping the call) whenever i tried to open the calling app. had to restart the phone. lots of other glitches and apples own apps are worst.

today wifi stops working.. had to manually add it again.

Finally left the iPhone's for a Samsung S7 Edge just to try it out, nothing to lose, and I have to say all the ranting, bickering, and this is better than that talk about how bad Samsung/Android is puzzling. Had my new phone for 4 days now, and I have to say, the style and size is very pleasing. Screen is just outstanding. No glitches at this time, it has everything that I need, and the touchwiz complaints by many are a none issue. Had iPhones for years and heard all the na sayers about Android and I bought into this until now. I guess some smartphone fanatics or just that, fanatics and will complain.

I like this phone just fine, it meets my needs and the iPhone is fine as well. Buy what you want.

Did you drop your phone? Something is not right.

Each person is different but podcast might be one of my most used apps personally. Without fail use it everyday. It's a big plus from moving from Samsung to Apple.

I should have specified my ugly comment. A lot of the Android apps I personally feel do not look as "nice" as their iOS counterparts. Also some of them do not function as well as their iOS equivalent, which I know is not the fault of Android or Samsung but rather the game/ app developer.

I purchased a Galaxy S7 earlier in the week and messed with it for a few days before posting it here on the Marketplace and I really did enjoy it. I will say Samsung makes some pretty dang nice devices.

I also got a S7 edge yesterday and my sim is back in my iPhone. Don't know why I just can't get used to android apps.

nope... since ios8 the direction of the straight line has pointed down... the more feature the more glitches...
You seems to have a lot operational glitches. Get your phone looked at. You could have a bad logic board.

You're right about ios 8 and I agree it's probably the worst release ever, but IOS 9.2.1 is smooth sailing and like the new features. Even have the beta installed on my ipad.

I don't use the stock podcast app, I use pocket casts which I also used when I was on android. However I don't think it's a pointless app, it's just that I use an alternative app. I don't really think there are any pointless stock apps, just some of them I have no use for.

The bloat on Samsung phones on the other hand. I find a lot of the apps pointless.

They are not pointless if you having a use for them...

I get the idea behind all of the stock apps, you can do almost everything with them out of the box, but like you, many dont use them and others using alternative apps. in that case, it would be nice if we could erase them and free up the space they taking.

I feel a little bored of my 6s plus too and for iOS too. I had the chance to test the Galaxy s7 edge and wow ! The phone's just stunning ! If ios 10's not very innovent, I think that my next phone will be a Samsung phone, after 5 years with differents iPhone (3G, 3GS, 4, 5c, 5s and 6s plus)

One thing I did find interesting and sad, and that is if you have Verizon as your Carrier, you cannot opt for the Samsung Insurance Plus plan. I've tried for 3 days and both the online site, Chat and phone reps could not get me the insurance, than on the 4th day, I was told to get Verizons plan instead, and that Verizon has a deal with Samsung not to give it to us. Hard to believe but that is what I was told.

I still like the Apple + plan

I think Tim said, they were working on this. But even if they deliver some solution, the solution won't satisfy some and there will be cribbing on any app that can't be removed.

Makes no sense.
