Fingerprint is new complaint?
When my screen and entire enclosure have so many fingerprints (I use my phone naked, no case), I smudged it off with a cloth or simply using my own shirt. Simply no breaker, dunno why some folks complaining so trivial things...they should grateful at least still have fingers on their palm...
- Use case
- Wear full size glove
- Wash hand with mild dishwasher to reduce grease intensity
- Use someone else hand with less greasy finger?
Ray Kurzweil made a point that everyone has 2 trillion dollars worth of economic output in their pocket but the value is relative to the new baseline, so it's actually closer to zero. It would make sense that fingerprints come out on top as a prime concern. It's quite astonishing, really. We now live in an age were we have a supercomputer in our pocket and worry about the amount of fingerprints on part of its case.
Well if you’re getting the silver then it’s raw from the way it looks like previous years. Every other color has the coating over the stainless steel so you can’t polish the ones that have the coating. So it's different than the iPhone X's stainless steel band?
So there is phone that's "more Pro" than the other Pro's in the lineup just because of a color? Disappointing
Yeah I was one of those people and I provided pics of my gold series 4 Apple Watch with the hideous marks on them that I did eventually successfully remove with a jewelry cloth.PVD if it had a reaction to anything, it might cause a separation or ‘tarnish-like appearance‘ if it comes in contact with certain types of fluids/cleaning solutions. The gold stainless Apple Watch uses PVD, [a few members posted their experiences with with tarnishing due to the PVD, but it was more of a rarity.]
Only buying that if it's 24k gold /s
More likely they couldn't couldn't get the gold to look the way they wanted, or wear the way they wanted, with the usual process, so had to go with a different process. But good work on casting every scrap of information as "Apple is horrible".So what I'm hearing is that Apple cheaped out on providing proper protective coatings for the majority of these phones?
Gold is a girly thing.
Saying that the color gold is for girls is one of the most ignorant things I’ve heardI have a Pacific Blue iphone12Pro being delivered in the second wave on 10/30. I almost went with the gold, but friends said it was a girl color. I wanted to see both, but of course we are all buying by faith. After reading this article, I just bought the gold one, which is to be delivered 11/10...(sigh). I just want to see them both...I will return one of them. The sucky thing is that I have a brand new iwatch6 w/cell sitting here that I cannot use until I get one of these iphones....my current iphone6+ will not work with my new watch....so I wait.

Absolutely - in fact, I heard if a big burly macho man buys a gold iPhone, it’ll turn them gay.Gold is a girly thing.
This. Unless the color itself has sex organs, then it’s just a color. If someone worried that being seen with a phone of a particular color will make people think they’re female, they have much bigger problems than what phone to buy, starting with thinking that one gender is somehow less important or desirable than another.Saying that the color gold is for girls is one of the most ignorant things I’ve heard

Or maybe people can just get whichever color they fancy. Color doesn’t have gender. It isn’t inherently masculine or feminine.
