Damn! You really showed me.

No one cares.
But I'm a Samsung shill. Having an Apple product is blasphemy! I must be going to hell considering I've switched between Apple and Samsung and even using windows as well! Please. I'm no shill specially for Apple. Idc if Apple promotes Faceid as the greatest thing since sliced bread. I'll wait until I use it or seen it released and most people says it works not a few PR people in a controlled environment.

The worst posts in these threads are those of the zombies yelling "NICE, MORE (insert latest Apple product here) FOR ME!".

Never go full retard

Could care less about Face ID at this point.
I’d possibly like the iris scanner or the good ole pin will work or print.
I’m more worried about screen burn if that happens.

Screen burn in or image retention isn't likely going to be a major concern with this new iPhone. It helps by having the pixels rotate to prevent stagnancy.

Well I find it funny how many people want to bash the Snapdragon 835 as slow (it's not but it's slower) when it's basically a SOC that's already a year old and the A11 is brand new.... Maybe I should compare my Samsung 2017 7000 series TV to my old Vizio 1080p TV which I bought in 2013.... Makes sense right? That TV wasn't bad just wanted to get a 4k one.

Your partly right, what you should do though is compare the latest high-end offering from Qualcomm (which still is the 835, which will be in the Pixel 2) and the latest offering from Apple (which is the A11). And it's about 50% slower in multi and single threaded benchmarks, so that's a big big difference.
And while you may not notice that difference in the OS today doesn't mean you won't notice it in the OS in 2 years (which is now I think about it kinda a non-issue since no android phone is getting updates for 2 whole years).

I read the battery part and instantly knew you are either lying or there is a major issue with your phone, the battery life on the S8 plus destroys the iP8 by a massive margin too.

i don`t know where you get that impression. yes, S8+ has a larger battery, but the screen size is also larger and the resolution is higher. Various tests show that S8+ has 8 hours of usage time, while iphone 8 plus has 10h35min usage time. You can google it.

The reason for my big difference of battery lifetime could related to the apps. The same app(some of them) on android seems consumes more battery than their iOS version.

S8+ is a good phone, nice screen, quick and good camera. But the stupid unlock solution and bad battery let him down compared with iPhone 8 plus.

835 was released in 2017 so is the a11.
Both are 10nm.

Comparisons are valid.

Actually it was announced in 2016 which is what I'm referring to and into production in that fall/winter time frame. Either way your comparing a old SOC to a brand new one. What's your excuse when the Snapdragon 845 or whatever ( if it is) is somehow better then the A11? Oh its older? Really who gives a crap anyways. Diminishing returns makes it a non issue anyways.

I feel like I’m scr*wed. I’ve always had iphones too. That was my first smartphone and never even crossed my mind to change for something else. My mind started to change when I saw the new mbr (touch bar or not). The same performances and same storage as my 2 years old mbr would cost 300€. And 700€ more for touch bar. That was ridiculous (and lot of posts told people go get the older mbr btw). I thought it was a small mistake at Apple. And now.. iPhone 8 (which shouldnt exist) and iPhone X wich costs 1159€ base model in Europe (yes it’s 1364$ for base model here). I mean.. is it better than Samsung s8 ? Maybe. Not even sure. Is IOS better? I think so. Is it worth the crazy price tag? I’m sure it’s not. Btw here i can get the s8 for 560€... the difference is more than half the price! HALF! I love Apple, love products, I would love my iPhone X i guess, but could I justify it? Could I consider myself smart to buy it? No. I would be ashamed to spend that much money. I could get S8 and bring my family on holidays with the difference..! That’s that big!

The problem is....Android sucks. I see other phones I like, but I simply can not deal with Android.

This is always the problem for me too. You can vote with your wallet if you don’t like what Apple is doing, but for me that simply means buying NO products. I also vote with my wallet and don’t buy Android devices too.

So what if it was announced in 2016.
835 is in all the 2017 flagship android phones.
A11 bionic is in Apple flagship 2017 phones.
It is comparable.

845 isn’t going to be released until may 2018, that’s going head to head with the a12.

Are you the George Knighton from Honda Tech?

I'm afraid so. 🙂
[doublepost=1507247889][/doublepost]Well.... I did order a V30 today, because of some reviews I saw and because of its support of Gigabit LTE and Band 71.

Let's see how monstrous a mistake I've made.

I don't have much to say in this letter, not even sure if this is the right place to post. I've bought almost every model of iPhone from the iPhone 3 in 2008, and loved mostly every experience of it.. until now. It seems everything's going to hell with Apple. I'll be searching for a downgrade of a phone, but I will no longer support this company, even if it means a worse phone experience.

I am still in shock from the release of the iPhone 8, and X. I feel like someone I was in a trustworthy relationship over a long period of time stabbed me in the back and walked away. I guess It's my fault for letting myself get attached to a company.

iPhone X isn't perfect. It is flawed, and Apple, if you truly think it's appropriate to ask your community to "get used to" or adjust to the akward black bevel on your "borderless screen" that.. by the way blocks videos and makes the experience inconvenient for an outstanding price you're wrong.

and about the iPhone 8.. well it's nothing special compared to the iPhone 6s. They're basically the same, with some small upgrades. Not worth the price.

What are your guys opinions about apples recent decisions? Am I the only one?

So many of these posts. Why? If you don't like the iPhone offerings, go buy something else. Do you really need to announce it to the world? Is that what you come to tech site to read? Wow, I'm wondering who doesn't want to buy the next iPhone. yawn.

Meh Go with Samsung and you’re gonna have to wait for updates with the new android updates.

The Pixel 2 is crap. Look at those bezels and 1080 screen. Pixel 2 plus is probably the most perfect phone. Always on time updates and very little bezel. If there was an android phone to replace my iPhone, it would be that one.

Android is safer? I know of many IT shops in government or high security clearance required agencies that are choosing or have chosen iOS over android.

Android and its larger share of the market is an inherent reason why it will not be safer.

If you read my sentence it should be clear: Android is currently no very safe. Even if they would make it safer as it is now I still might not switch. At no point did or do I state that Android is safer than iOS. Clearer now?

Well, I agree with you there have been really a lot of people and in fact, even investors who have been really excited about the upcoming iPhone, however, it seems that when it went out it shakes the whole crowd. There is this article Apple iPhone Sales where in it mention that according to analyst what apple did seems not realistic, which greatly affect it sales.

Bad one apple

Generally most of such “analyst” predictions turned out to be false. I wonder what they actually analyse in their day job.
