You two need to get your timelines in order and your tin foil hats sent to be cleaned.
Maybe you need to unclog your pipe?

Well... this means Steve Jobs was the one who was in war with Google not Apple. So, soon we are going to see a merge between both operative systems... wait... doesn't iOS7 looks like an android phone right now?
And Apple isnt arrogant and controlling? Come on, get real here.
Come back to me when Apple is trying to force everyone into a social network that collects location information, search information, real name information, with no regard for user privacy while passing it on to their advertising partners.
Sorry - you lost me at the end. What does Google pass on to advertisers exactly? Or rather - what is it you THINK they pass over to advertisers?
And "force" ? Since when is anyone forced to use google. Any more than someone is forced to use an iPhone. Or a Honda. Or a Nike sneaker. ??
Google makes all of their money off of advertising. They wouldn't exist without it. It's like facebook. All your cookies are sent to their servers, and they use ur entire online viewing experience for ads as well as whatever info you give them. Not to mention they keep promoting g+ on practically every one of their services.
Again - no one is forced to use google services. And just like any online service - you agree to their terms (Google's privacy policy is nearly identical to Apple's by the way)
Further - Google does not sell personal information to advertisers. They offer advertisers access to specific demographics. At no time does an advertiser have access to your personal information.
Consider this - privacy for Google (and others) is key to their business. Without it - they have none - or it will collapse. It is in their BEST INTEREST to secure your data and personal information.
Think about it.

We collect information in two ways:
Information you give us. For example, many of our services require you to sign up for a Google Account. When you do, well ask for personal information, like your name, email address, telephone number or credit card. If you want to take full advantage of the sharing features we offer, we might also ask you to create a publicly visible Google Profile, which may include your name and photo.
Information we get from your use of our services. We may collect information about the services that you use and how you use them, like when you visit a website that uses our advertising services or you view and interact with our ads and content. This information includes:
Device information
We may collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number). Google may associate your device identifiers or phone number with your Google Account.
Log information
When you use our services or view content provided by Google, we may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs. This may include:
details of how you used our service, such as your search queries.
telephony log information like your phone number, calling-party number, forwarding numbers, time and date of calls, duration of calls, SMS routing information and types of calls.
Internet protocol address.
device event information such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL.
cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your Google Account.
Why do they need all my that info about my calls and phone numbers?

We do not share personal information with companies, organizations and individuals outside of Google unless one of the following circumstances apply:
With your consent
We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Google when we have your consent to do so. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.
We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this Privacy Policy.

However, its important to remember that many of our services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled. For example, we may not remember your language preferences.
The more Apple removes Google from iOS defaults (Maps, YouTube, soon search), the better the relationship gets?
lies? What lies? Nothing I said was a lie. Never said google sells your information to anybody. All I'm claiming is they want way too much of your personal info like the calls I just mentioned, which is logged at google no matter what. Then your info is at their mercy to do with as they please (btw they can change that privacy policy at anytime and all that info is still with them and will be subject to whatever changes they make), and I don't trust those policies. How do you know they are being enforced? BTW I don't necessarily trust Apple either with my information it's why I use as few services as possible. You carefully picked and chose what to present from the Google Privacy Page (Link Supplied).
http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/
What you left out were the important issues. I'll just name a few of them, take the time to read the rest if you choose.
There are many other important ways you can completely opt out of everything but the post is long enough. Read it if you choose, otherwise please don't spread lies.

This seems like a promising development between the two. I happen to like both companies and their services. Hopefully this may mean better integration on the mobile front with regards to iOS.
The relationship is beneficial to both companies. Apple gets the benefits of Google Apps and Google gets the benefits of Google Ads on iOS devices.
I find the timing of this news odd considering the new Moto X phone is going to be coming out this fall (around the time of the iPhone 5).
The Moto X is also rumored to be followed by a updated Droid Maxx and a few other Droid phones.

Google has total control on what u see on your websearch results and what information about u they gather and share.
We will never know to what degree they manipulate... But the fact is they can.. And that is dangerous!
Sorry - you lost me at the end. What does Google pass on to advertisers exactly? Or rather - what is it you THINK they pass over to advertisers?
Well, Google is the advertiser, and they collect your information and keep it. They say it's just for matching the right ads to the user. I don't really care because I block their ads anyway![]()
