its just my opinion ,

your welcome to pay the money for it , but it won't see the sales the 5 did , which i thought was a great price.

i think its a bad move on google to command a iPhone price , its not in there deck of cards.

they should be selling 400$ phones and sell a load of them.

I wonder if Google-Nexus is trying to position itself as a "premium" brand (like Apple), distancing itself from Samsung and the other cheaper Android brands?

the iPhone 6 plus is already too big, 6" is ridiculous

Uhh they're practically the same size

So,

The Nexus 6 has a 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805.
The Nexus 9 has a 64-bit 4+1-core nVidia Tegra K1.
The Nexus Player has a 64-bit 4-core Intel Atom.

Three products with 3 different processor architectures, all announced on the same day - and using 3 different graphics architectures (Adreno, Kepler, PowerVR).

It's impressive that Lollipop runs on all of the above ... but I can't wait to see these all get benchmarked against each other.

Impressive that software runs on all the architectures, but I have a hard time believing how it could be optimized for performance and efficiency for the three or more architectures coming in the near future.

indeed , i had a note 3 and was waiting for today.....really disappointed

ill be ordering a 6+ .....google is delirious.

i really do not get you guys. The price of Nexus 6 is fair. You get Quad-HD display, Snapdragon 805, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 420, starting at 32GB, 13MP camera and 2MP front facing camera.

The note 4 has similar specification and this is just blown up Moto X. The $645 price point is not bad with the flashship specification.

Stock Android is alwasy better than any third party skinned versionl. If I had choice between this and other flagship phone, i would pick this one.

Coming up soon...Nexus Watch

So the starting price for what was once toted "crazy cheap flagship Android" is now the same as the starting price as the iPhone. Hmm...

Ooooo I'm interested in the K1

The older nexus was intented to push stock android to lower price point. Google did not make any money on those phone. I think Google is actually positioning this along with other flagship with stock android on higher position while Android one is lower end tire.

Google never intented to make a phone, they won't. It just not in Google's interest. Google will still rely on OEMs to push its Android. Remember it is not Google's interest on making money with hardware. It is rather user's data.

So it is not to say that Google is distancing itself from Samsung and other OEMs. It is Google placing these devices alone with stock android devices in flagship poistion while expanding its market share using lower end Android one.

There is Moto 360, LG G Watch before Apple's announcement of Apple Watch.

Nexus 6 has been rumored for awhile, just in case if you not noticing it.

So is this take 2 on the Nexus Q?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nexus_Q

Chromecast was take two on the Nexus Q - both are streaming-only devices without interfaces of their own, meant to play content that is being sent from another Android device or computer in the home. The Q was audio only, whereas the Chromecast is an HDMI dongle.

Nexus Player (which runs Android TV) is take two on Google TV - a fully fleshed out interface meant for a television set top box.

Nexus 6 is too big and too expensive! Who wants to hold a satellite dish up to their head to talk? What's next, a Nexus 7 as a phone at 2x the price of the Nexus 6?

However, the N9 looks good, can't wait to see it!

What changes are made to the Verizon version?

First they work over the GUI with an ugly stick. Then they lard up the OS with a bunch of crapware that doesn't do anything well except charge fees for use. Finally they lock in the changes so you can't run pure Android.

Basically it's like someone cracking open your Mac Pro and taking a dump in it.

*Looks at dimensions and weight values*

Uhh....no they're not

You're kidding right? Those phones are practically the same size. The one very noticeable difference is bezels. I guess less noticeable is the difference in screen size relative to the size of the phone.

Seriously, dem bezels tho.

Big girls need love too, right? :D <--- I am just kidding.

/thinks of patent for Spanx for iPhone

You should have waited for the iPhone 6. I just LOVE my 6 and it's 4.7" screen. It really is the perfect size for a phone without being to unwieldy for most people (and I'd make 5" the max). Large handed people should be just fine with the 6+.

I had bought the iPhone 6 but returned it 3 days later. I found nothing new in it. Besides the beautiful design and a nice screen.
