look familiar?

Funny. I said several months back when the initial designs for the iP6 came out with thick, white/contrasting antennae bands came out that other phone companies would be copying that design treatment.

It’s Mercedes LEDs, and Audi blacked out “chins” all over again :D

google...

The tv set remote looks like the apple remote...

The game controller looks almost identical to the xbox one controller

The Nexus 6 actually looks pretty cool though!

"It's been way too long"

Anyone else now feel tomorrow will most certainly feature and updated :apple: TV?

I mean it's been way too long that people have asked for an app store and expanded uses cases for the :apple: TV. Games? They have to compete with Google, before the living room dominance that can only come through licensing deals - which we haven't heard about for a while.

Hilarious Joke

Chrome is... crappier? <face turned to the side but eyes looking at you with eyebrows raised in a cool way>

If you price close to an iPhone, people might just opt for the iPhone. A la tablets.

The novelty of the Nexus was the price point. It allowed people to dip their toes into the platform for little cost. Now thats gone and the role goes to the Oneplus funny enough. A company few outside of the tech world have heard of.

A 6" phone at $650 is going to appeal to a very niche market.

True, but all other flagship phones are in the same price range.

not the same device...one is worth the money and one isn't....im teaching you common sense here.

Interesting debate tactic, bring up the point about price and then when you're proven wrong say that price is meaningless. I guess you're just going to have to accept that people have different preferences. As others have pointed out in this thread, you sure seem to be quite defensive and even angry that others prefer the N6 to the new iPhones.

Yeah, that’s still so uncertain. There’s been little-to-no leaks about a new ATV, but clearly Apple is at a point where they need to make a push with their TV device. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did [unveil a 4th gen box with games, storage, etc.), but I’d still feel like it’s 50/50 at _best_.

Nexus Player seems like an interesting product. While Apple has been adding a lot of useless channels only available in US and apparently unsuccessfully chasing content rights that would let them seriously compete with cable, they let Apple TV stagnate badly.

Nexus Player is less ambitious than what Apple seems to be aiming for but it does include features such as App Store and global search that I REALLY want Apple to do. I am quite curious how well the voice search works.

hmm i get the feeling this thread will no doubt end up being one of those threads where the goal posts are moved so far apart, even Einstein wouldn't be able to make a mathematical model of where they are in time and space!

I seriously don't understand why EVERY tablet does not come with front-facing speakers. Extra points to the tablets that do.

It's so ridiculous to have to cup my hand under my (fill in the blank) tablet to get the sound coming toward me instead of the floor or table or other people.

THIS!!

I've been wondering why they don't add front facing speakers to phones as well....

That Nexus 6 already makes the 6+ seem a generation old, and mine hasn't even shipped yet.

The display sounds incredible on paper, and OLED usually delivers.

f/2.0 13MP camera with OIS? Again, it sounds good on paper. Not too many MPs, a large aperture, and OIS; if they nailed the execution then it will slay the iPhone's camera.

Curved back with thin edges will feel great in the hand.

2.7 GHz Quad-Core 64-bit CPU? In a POCKET? Damn that is hardcore.

If Android finally delivers a stable and responsive OS in Lollipop, Apple are in deep sh t.

"We now present the newest Android phone!"

*crickets*

"Hello?"

*crickets*

"But but look at these specs; it's superior to the iPhone in every way!"

.....

.....

*crickets*

Crickets eh? Android related sites are going giddy over the new Android release, and wanting to replace Nexus 7 tablets with the Nexus 9.

its just my opinion ,

your welcome to pay the money for it , but it won't see the sales the 5 did , which i thought was a great price.

i think its a bad move on google to command a iPhone price , its not in there deck of cards.

they should be selling 400$ phones and sell a load of them.

Won't see the sales the 5 did? Of course it won't. Android now has multiple super phones at the moment. So you're correct in saying that it won't reach the sales of 1 Apple model. With iPhone 6/iOS your options are love it or leave it. On Android if you don't like Samsung you can jump over to Nexus. If you hate Touchwiz jump over to the Nexus. If you want a small flagship buy the Sony Z3 compact.

Note 4
Note Edge
Nexus 6
Moto X 2014
Sony X3
Sony X3 compact
Droid Turbo

7 flagships after the release of the iPhone 6. Android is not playing around. And for a $300 phone just get a One Plus One. There are plenty of budget options including the Moto G.

I don't think that will happen anytime soon. Apple would face to seriously mess up to fall behind.

Each day about 40 people line up at the local Apple store wanting an iPhone 6 or 6+ and it's been a month since launch, and tens of millions have already been sold ... I'd be surprised if 4 people are in line at the Best Buy (the closest thing to an Apple Store for Nexus) on launch day.
