I have to say Google was smart going with HTC to help make a Nexus 9 and the Moto phone style always looked good too. Both are great looking with top of the line specs. If I ever went android it would be a Nexus for sure. Still I'll keep my iPhone 6+ :) but I am on a apple site ;). Only thing I don't get is the super high res screen I have 6+ and can't see any pixels, not sure there is a point to anymore.

Each day about 40 people line up at the local Apple store wanting an iPhone 6 or 6+ and it's been a month since launch, and tens of millions have already been sold ... I'd be surprised if 4 people are in line at the Best Buy (the closest thing to an Apple Store for Nexus) on launch day.

And that is relevant to how the Nexus will perform because.........???

I don't think that will happen anytime soon. Apple would face to seriously mess up to fall behind.

Well I was being a bit hyperbolic, but that Nexus 6 is the nicest Android phone I've ever seen. And it runs pure Android, not that larded up crapware that's on the Samsung devices.

That said, based on my experience with a Nexus 7, there is just no way I would trust using Android on a phone. Random crashes are bad enough when I'm trying to read a book, but while navigating or talking on the phone? LOL.

f/2.0 13MP camera with OIS? Again, it sounds good on paper. Not too many MPs, a large aperture, and OIS; if they nailed the execution then it will slay the iPhone's camera.

If its the same lens as the one in the Moto X then i wouldn't get my hopes up too much. Unless Google really overhauled the processing algorithms.

ROFLMAO! Now I've heard it all!!!

Listen, you played your hand wrong and it was funny, then you tried with some smoke and mirrors by not addressing the actual point. And now you just ignore the point I made, in the hopes that others may have missed it. It's still funny, but you're wrong, and I suspect you may be aware of it. But anyways..

Nexus 6 is pretty nice... although there is no longer the price point advantage going for it... the tablet is also nice too... really nice, but the new iPads will edge it just a bit IMO in hardware and design and battery life

-20nm A8X with 2GB of RAM and a new 8 megapixel camera that could be close to the 5S camera is amazing...plus new laminated display and rumors that resolution is going up evn higher on the new iPad's...Quad HD display on the Air 2??

The only true advantage Apple has is with iPad's because of all the tablet optimized apps in the Apple store. But with big phones like the Nexus 6 with unlockable bootloader the software tweaks and possibilities are endless. There are some custom roms on the Nexus 7 that allow 2 apps at once. Should be no problem for Nexus 6 to pull have the same feat making it a much more flexible option.

Wow!: "a 493 ppi AMOLED Quad HD display"!!! Superman will be very pleased!

What really drives Google is all those Mac Rumors posted on the Internet. It may feel as if they are ahead of Apple, but it's just a mediocre attempt to "innovate" based on whatever intelligence they can gather from others who are really innovating.

You mean like increasing screen size from 4" to 4.7" after stating publicly on a number of occasions that larger screen sizes were terrible?

so samsung phones are the best because they sell the most?

the iphones are not bad, but just because a group of hippies camp out all night outside apple stores does not necessarily mean they are the best product.

many of my friends had not even seen an htc one before i purchased one last year. they were quite intrigued by it, to put it mildly.

What point did you make? I made a joke.

If by joke you mean much better than Apple then you are correct.

I'm really looking forward to the Nexus 6, it's going to be awesome! My Nexus 4 is still going strong though so I can wait a little longer until the release. This will be a day 1 purchase for sure.
