I know this is early days for the IOS 25 beta...I feel like you as well. I don't hate it. I realize it is a beta...and it needs work.
But also I have betas for One UI 8 on the S25U and Android 16 beta on my P9XL. Those have been a much smoother experience so far for me.
Oh absolutely. I mean the A 16 beta didn’t even feel like a beta to me it was that good. The iOS one is janky as hell and my phone got so hot I had to turn it off and let it cool down after I had installed it.

My comments were more about the aesthetic which does still need some work but overall I quite like. I’ve already encountered another issue here though typing just now. See screenshot. I have to keep scrolling up to see what I’m typing as if I don’t the text just keeps disappearing behind the weird two bars above the keyboard. 😂😑

Do you like the new pointer on your iPad pro?
The change to a pointer is nice but honestly, isn’t really a noticeable improvement as I’m not generally doing much pixel-precise work that would benefit from a pointer vs. the small circle. I can see how it would help others a lot. It’s also very familiar so that’s a big part of the appeal.

This ^^^^^^ My 16Pm got so hot I was afraid it was fried. It did this twice once right after the beta was installed and it rebooted and another time when I plugged into my truck to test CarPlay. Both times the phone was almost too hot to touch.

Yeah I've had it happen twice too. It's settled today but I have my SIM in my pixel so I'm not even using it full time if that makes sense.

I picked up a pixel again because with the 10 series coming soon(ish) I know they give decent trade in values and I snagged it for just £550 off FB marketplace. Brand new. So was a no brainer. I can use and enjoy it until I trade it for a 10. 😁

I didn't get the P9 so I'll be interested in the 10. Two years with a phone is good enough. I'll get the 10 or a SS 26, whichever has the best deal trade in offer.

I'm installing Android 16 right now on my P8 so we'll see how that works. I never try the betas, I don't want issues and I'm just patient to wait.
I usually never notice much of a diff lol, but I will like the extra spam protection features.

Yeah, I’ve finally learned my lesson and won’t put iOS betas on my daily until at least the 3rd or 4th beta as in the past, early edition usually suffered from bugs and awful battery life. I just couldn’t resist playing with the iPad OS beta. 😜 Battery’s been OK but it’s been a little glitchy on occasion, nothing major though.

Another rumor I can get behind. Just take my money, Google!
Please, please, please be true. It’s one of my biggest gripes about new Android phones even though Qi2 has been available for a couple years now. Took ages just to find a suitable ‘magsafe’ case for my Pixel 9 Pro Fold so I could use all of my chargers, accessories and mounts.

I realize this is not a common consumer problem but when you’ve had it for your iPhone for years, you really miss it when switching over to an Android phone. Native Qi2 (with the magnets) integration on the Pixel 10 Pro Fold might alone be enough to get me to upgrade.

Pixel 10 pro,
6.8" gorilla armor high pwm screen.
Hopefully a fastish Tensor chip with a good modem.
Vapor chamber and decent thermals without Exynos.
New battery tech and at least 6000mah.
Titanium frame
New 200mp sensor with 2 50mp sensors.

My dream Pixel. Lol

I bought a Pixel 9a to dip my toes into the Android water and the battery has been amazing. As a backup phone I've let it sit uncharged for up to two weeks no problem - no iPhones I've had has been able to do that.
tbh even $100 Motorola has better battery life than $1000 iPhone and I'm not joking.
Huawei Fit 3 which is $100 has 10 day battery life, easily. Apple Watches do not. Where's the optimisation etc? There is none.
Android is better.

Haven't replied to this thread yet, but you all know I'm a big stock Android fan, and always get the newest Pixel Pro phone, but I have to admit I am getting burned out on upgrading every year as it seems lately there's so little difference, hard to even tell what the "upgrade" gives us. My Pixel 8 Pro was fantastic, got the 9 Pro XL and it's fantastic too. Going to the 7 Pro from the 6 Pro was the most minimal upgrade ever, like barely any difference whatsoever.

Anyways the Pixel 10 line has been talked about for years as the big big change from Google, finally ditching the crappy Exynos Samsung based processor and going to TSMC which was said to be a major upgrade and on paper potentially on par with Apple's A-Series processors. But this year these rumors seemed to be less exciting, and early word is the Pixel 10 chip won't be some Star Trek tech like rumored about. What's the latest word on this?

The Tensor 5 isnt going to be the big upgrade some are expecting, not from what I've read. Does it need to be though?

I've never had any issues with the Tensor 4, my 9 Pro is quick and does everything I need it to in a timely manner.
