It seems quite a few...

people have had pretty good luck getting...

replacements for the issues...

you guys have been having. Might want to take yours in for an eval and possible replacement.

It also appears that the problem isn't solved with replacements, so...

I haven’t had this issue with my 12.9 3rd gen pro, however I am noticing a few dead pixels on my screen! Is anyone else who got one on launch day have this issues?

I have been having this issue with my 1st generation iPad Pro for a while now. I thought it was an issue with my iPad.

A few weeks ago, I returned my iPad Pro 11 inch. So many things wrong with it. Glad I did.

Wonder if it is related to Apple powering everything down, reducing processing speed, etc. because of the undersized battery and too thin to use design from Ive?

Very-likely caused by the same Perf Controller bug(s) I first discovered with my Burst Photo Camera app !

Like I've said many times, Off the Radar of most, but should NOT be !

Guys lighten up. Its normal. The screen is meant to stutter. That is a feature built in. Just like how its normal for ipads to bend. Look it up.
I've seen about 100x more bent iPhones than iPads. And I rather have an iPad that is very slightly bend due to manufacturing issues but doesn't get worse during usage than an iPhone I have to worry about bending every time I sit down.

I do not believe I have experienced this issue with my 11" IPP. Now I'm going to double check when I get home tonight.

Their is nothing to worry about, it’s just a new feature called Mis Touch Pro, it’s copied from the MacBook Pro Mis Type Pro feature, you know where the keys randomly stop working as you expect, but it’s been adjusted to work exclusively on the iPad Pro range, as you can see it’s only models from 2917 that support this great new feature.

Apple aren’t anything if not consistent..

I don’t care though as in my eyes the new iPad Pros are still stunning pieces of engineering and I still want one!

Haha and right on queue, I just typed my post above and my 9.7” iPad Pro keyboard refused to disappear when I was pressing the close keyboard button...

So yeah my older model does have this issue it seems.

Typical Apple, makes an iOS version that consistently breaks, makes one that fixes all the bugs, then spend a few years breaking it all again, and repeat...

This is expected as iPads age past the two month mark. I mean, how long do people expect to own an iPad? I think two months is sufficient. I’ve owned my iPad for about one month and it’s running great, but if something were to happen in the next month....so be it. Natural aging process.

My iPhone periodically does something similar.
It rings and I can’t answer as the swipe to unlock doesn’t respond.
Wonder if it’s the same kind of issue.

I can corroborate this irritating phenomenon - had the 2018 11” Wifi 512GB and encountered unresponsive ness when trying to scroll when in landscape on the right side of the screen.

Returned it for other reasons (didn’t think it was worth 50% of a price hike) and went back to my mini 4 that never has had the issue.

Pretty much, the whole touch display becomes unresponsive on iPad when it occurs. It happens a lot to me on unlock screen, have to use home button to turn screen off then it will work.

It seems like their entire Pro-line is cursed: Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro.
What's next, iMac Pro bursts people's eardrums?
Should I consider stop buying Apple "Pro"ducts?

Apple, prepare to write me a massive check, because i'm about to solve your problem for you....

Lets think about this logically.

How many reports of the Ipad pro's bending? Quite a bit..

If your ipad bends...even a slightest amount, dont you think the internal components are going to flex and bend too?

Maybe...just maybe...if you made them thicker or just used stronger aluminum...they wouldn't bend and flex so much!

Might be the issue there.

Could be software too

But i kinda find it funny, how apple is failing to build quality components on crucial stuff like the touch screen and keyboards, that are required for the device to work in the first place.

And whats a common cause....THE DEVICES ARE GETTING TOO THIN!

Also explains's all the other issues you have too with other products like the thermal throttling and cooling issues....

YOU CANT CHANGE THE LAWS OF PHYICS.....

I think most apple costumers would be perfectly happy with thicker heaver devices that are way more solid and reliable, then thin fragile devices that break with every day normal use!

Unless you have evidence or the exact number impacted or at least SOME data, these threads just perpetuate the nonsense people echo on this forum.

"Quality has declined."
"Yet more issues."
"Apple shipping flawd products."
"Hardware issue."
"Where is quality control?"

A couple of threads doesn't speak for the 45M iPads Apple shipped last year alone.
Apple could be upfront and report the number of reported/validated cases instead of hiding it with statements like, “a small number of......”.
A percentage of absolute figure would be good.
Small is a relative term and is unhelpful.

Have had this for months now, hard to describe and replicate but very annoying.

Apple can't seem to do anything right anymore. Then when they are confronted about it, they offer a generic public statement and move on to the next thing. They can't even make quality products at this point. As I've often said in recent months...a shell of their former selves. I wish someone would just dethrone this POS company already. It's not on the level it should be for the premiums they charge over their active competition, they need to be taught a lesson, once and for all.

Maybe you should move on to a different website. This might not be the site for you. Also, my first PowerMac 7100 was a lemon and that was in the 90's. When you ship millions of a product, some will have issues.

I have a 2018 12.9" iPad Pro. I think I have a problem with WiFi. It seems really slow. Like it takes forever for a video to start streaming. I do the same thing on my iPhone from the exact same chair in my house and the video starts up immediately.

They've been pretty busy schmoozing with A-listers. :)
