My iPad 12.9” had this problem, until I bent it back’n’forth a couple of times, then clamshelled it closed and shook it violently for a few seconds.
Now it works just fine.
(Please! No one try this based on my suggestion. You need real skill for this kinda thing.)
Do they simulate the dust buildup too?
Probably something software related in terms of the feature. This is quite interesting.I wonder if it’s an issue with ProMotion?
Agreed. Especially now that Apple is more popular and the online community is more active. We never got articles for the numerous issues in Steve Jobs’s life. Now, bugs are revenue builders for MR, 9to5Mac, etc.Unless you have evidence or the exact number impacted or at least SOME data, these threads just perpetuate the nonsense people echo on this forum.
"Quality has declined."
"Yet more issues."
"Apple shipping flawd products."
"Hardware issue."
"Where is quality control?"
A couple of threads doesn't speak for the 45M iPads Apple shipped last year alone.
Rule applies to them as well. Well, maybe not Microsoft so much because PC Manufacturers have drivers issues.I'm saving this quote for the next time a random number of, Samsung, Microsoft etc products have a slight flaw.
Fear not.
Apple has determined that a small percentage of displays in certain iPad Pro models may exhibit this behavior.
Oh sure, give them more reason to not care once their reputation is destroyed. So much for those that have invested tons of money into hardware and you want to make them care even less.Apple can't seem to do anything right anymore. Then when they are confronted about it, they offer a generic public statement and move on to the next thing. They can't even make quality products at this point. As I've often said in recent months...a shell of their former selves. I wish someone would just dethrone this POS company already. It's not on the level it should be for the premiums they charge over their active competition, they need to be taught a lesson, once and for all.
Why would they report failure rates? Seriously.Apple could be upfront and report the number of reported/validated cases instead of hiding it with statements like, “a small number of......”.
A percentage of absolute figure would be good.
Small is a relative term and is unhelpful.
I would just take it up with Apple's outstanding customer service. Seriously, it's not that big of a deal. They will take care of you if you're not a jerk and just let them know the situation. I had an iPad replaced with zero questions because it had a small screen issue. Took about 10 minutes and they were happy to do it.I'm saving his quote and yours for the time that you and @Baymowe335 gets this same keyboard issue yourselves.
I’m glad my iPad Pro isn’t effected. It’s such an amazing tool combined with my MacBook Pro; revising and commenting technical drawings.
But I have noticed a similar problem with my iPhone XS. Sometimes when I unlock and immediately start swiping to the next screen, the screen displays my swipe as a keyboard swipe; showing the different letters that I “touch”, as if there is a keyboard. It’s only there for a second and then I can swipe normally again. Does anyone else have this problem?
