Apple better be releasing this iPhone Ultra in Ceramic Edition.

I don’t care how expensive it’s going to cost. Make it Ultra Premium. Targeted towards the exclusive high-end loyal users.
No joke lol. If they are really considering this they better make it literally indestructible with some sort of ultra-secret military material of some sort.

I'm all for different phone sizes for different tastes, but c'mon... Enough is enough, no?

Give us a regular iPhone and a big iPhone, that's it.

This sounds like a desperate move, but we know they are gonna put things in there to make it enticing.

- Micro LED
- 8 GBs of RAM
- M4 optimized SoC
- 512 GBs storage
- WiFi 7

Already enough power and options in hardware. As others have pointed out, stable reliable IOS needed.

Potential for an ultra iphone? That’s probably nothing more than a money grab from the ultra rich to allow them to stand out from the crowd. How many mini’s does Apple have to sell to even the profit of an ultra? Fashion over functionality. We need more Wozniak at Apple and less Tim I guess.

LOL. Those “bad” decisions have only made Apple the most valuable company in the world.
No, Steve did that.

Anyone at Apple could’ve continued it as the most-valuable company buddy.

Tim inherited a gold mine… he’s simply incapable of derailing it yet, but he’s critically hurt Apple and you can see it in its continued decline in quality and poor decisions.

They just released another HomePod to replace the massive failure that the first was. Lmao

Ah, the uninformed "a monkey could run apple" argument.

One absolute comment deserves another. The above isn't true.

What failure was the Homepod OG? Whose benchmark are you using? What does "lmao" mean? What are you laughing at? The $170B quarterly revenue?

Just curious: is increasing profits bad? Does your employer not also try to increase profits?
Do you purchase Ferraris?

Profits don’t change the world. Great technologies that most people can or will pay for change the world. That also leads to the most profits by grabbing the largest market share or creating an entirely new marketable product.

What continued decline in quality? What poor decisions? Please back up with the reasonable fact.
I literally typed a summary of multiple poor decisions in one of my previous comments hahah.

I just typed about the HomePod re-release in the comment you just replied to….

Quality is to say that instead of a devotion to make the best product they possibly can, they’re now going for the most money they can possibly make by reducing design and hardware priorities for operations and services. They’re wanting to put design on the back burner and try to grab more money by switching to operations focus, grabbing more money for less new features, etc etc

I'm kind of done with the Max form factor and wanted to go back to normal this gen. I assume the Ultra will only come in the Max size at first? Will it trickle down to the normal next year?

So dumb. Unless it folds there should not be an even more premium slab edition.

They were your opinion. And I respect that, but don't agree with them.

Your opinion again. But you're right. You can't really justify your opinion, because that is what an opinion is.

I don't see that. I see Apple making great products and by being innovative expanding their universe of offerings to the consumer. I see overall revenue since 2011 going in a postive direction, due to the way Apple is innovating.

I guess it worked by the overall revenue over time.

Iphone PRO MAX PRO

EDIT: on a more serious note, Their SKUs are way too chaotic. Basically like the old windows vista basic/home premium/ultimate/enterprise that they made fun of back in the days.
I just rewatched some of the “I’m a Mac…” ads yesterday. Quite a couple of things Apple made fun of they are doing themselves now :/

LMAO how stupid we were to think the Ultra would replace the Pro Max when all along Apple intended to release a Pro, Pro Max, and Ultra.

i am so done with Apple. they are bleeding everyone dry during difficult economic times but oh no think of the poor shareholders who have to deal with a 5% decline in profits!!!

i'm going back to Android when my 12 pro max starts slowing down or breaks.
Android is leaps and bounds better overall and certainly way more stable than it was 5 years ago. I made the jump when the Z Fold 3 launched. Now I have the Z Fold 4. I previously owned every iPhone from the 4 to the 12. I have zero regrets after making the switch. I find Android to be just as stable, if not more stable, than iOS. iOS's stability has gone down hill considerably over the past four years. I'm not hating on iPhone mind you, but Apple needs to start running a tight ship again and they need to start innovating like they used to.

Ugh. Seriously?

Why can’t they just make one reasonably sized 5.4" or 5.6" mobile phone with a decent camera and not skimp out on the good display or telephoto lens…

Now I’d pay a premium for that.
I’d kill for Mini Pro, instead it seems like they’re going for even larger screens. The model from this rumor would start bumping into the iPad Mini on size.

I do wonder if this would be the long rumored foldable/rollable though. Then a premium slot would make sense, and so would the bigger screen (when folded/rolled out).

I was interested until they mentioned it would be a portless design. That alone makes it a lower-end option
Portless strikes me as an entry level iPhone thing with Thunderbolt ports on the pro models for fast data transfer.

I cannot see the Ultra being portless unless it also targets a rugged outdoorsy customer (thicker, sturdier, battery for days, dive-capable, etc….)
