I never said I was correct, but go see the sales number. Everyone, I mean MILLIONS, who bought it made wrong choice? No it isn't.
What makes you think you're correct?
And incompatible with any other model. With a low retail price of only $499
Add another $100 for function row, $200 for a touchbar...The blind elephant in the room, FUNCTION KEYS!!!! Please dear god function keys 😩 ❤️
I think you somehow got my and the other person’s quotes switched around haha. With the 2018 iPad Pro, the iPhone 12 and the M1 iMac apple went all the way in on the flat squared off edges.
But it seems like they’ve been backing off of that a bit lately with the rumors of the iPhone 15 being slightly curved and the new MacBooks having rounded edges on the bottom and the Series 7 Apple Watch and Ultra.
So I wouldn’t be surprised if the iPad gets the same flat screen with slightly rounded edges on the back design they seem to be quickly becoming a fan of again.
nah. your the wrong consumer for the current ipad. its evolved and to new generation of customers the ability to do both is awesome i like the option to do both. when i use it to type the magic keyboard and the trackpad is better then constantly touching the screen. then when i use it as a tablet for media consumption and gaming then touch base is better experience. your opinion is outdated. i just hope they move the camera to the middle in landscape mode. only thing thats making me keep my macbook pro. if the camera is moved then im selling my macbook pro 16 and using the funds to buy the newest 12.9 ipad pro and the cheaper macbook air 15 inch. then i will have the perfect setup for me.One of Apple's biggest mistakes was adding a cursor to the iPad. iPad is a touch first device, so it should be a touch first device. Magic keyboard with trackpad makes no sense and it's a classic case of listening to the customer who is wrong. Imagine when the iPhone was first released and everyone complained about a lack of keyboard so Apple shrinks the screen and adds a keyboard to the iPhone.
Apple should just ditch the magic keyboard and trackpad IMO. Let iPad be iPad and let Mac be Mac.
What makes even less sense is a touchscreen Mac. Hope Apple never makes one. Such an incredibly stupid idea.

Oh that’s right. I always forget about that because I found out about it long after it was diacontinued. I think I also forgot because it was way before iPad was pushed as a laptop substitute. There was a physical keyboard with the original iPad from day one.
And of course you were able to attach Bluetooth keyboards from day one, and there were landscape keyboards immediately.
And an esc key while they’re at it…My new ipad! please let there be volume keys!

No joke, this will be the 3rd iteration of the Magi keyboard at this point, at a not-inexpensive price point.I just hope it's still compatible with the last Magic Keyboard. My bank account can't take a more expensive 11" iPad and a new keyboard accessory at the same time. It does seem like with OLED it will finally be time to replace my 11" 2018 iPad Pro, one of the best Apple products ever made.
....the iPad Pro takes things to the next level. Introducing "Boot Camp". Now, if you have an iPad Pro with an M5 or later, you can now boot between iPadOS and macOS. Use iPadOS for simple tasks, and then move over to macOS when your workflows demand the power of macOS."This changes everything, all over again! This is the biggest leap in the iPad since the original iPad! Today, Apple takes the iPad to the next level! The new iPad Pro is the most powerful, most adaptable, most incredible iPad Apple has ever released!
This itself is a bad take IMO. Usually people give details.
Gotta tell ya, my dude, in 3 years of using my iPA and MK I have yet to run into that problem. You're wrong. Waste of Apple's engineering resources and waste of customer's resources. A customer might think their favorite apps work fine with the cursor. So they invest $ into the magic keyboard only to find that it doesn't work well because developers didn't bother to support it because it was optional.
Yes talk EXACTLY about customer being wrong.
I don't see any indication in Gurman's post that Apple will allow dual-booting iPadOS and macOS on the iPad Pro.This isn't my first time coming up with this radical idea either...I have been saying it for years and Apple is slowly coming to the same conclusion, this latest update from The G (Mark Gurman) proves it, as well...
Gurman mentioned ..."laptop-like.." further indication that Apple is slowly leaning towards this idea. Give it another 5 years, you will see...I don't see any indication in Gurman's post that Apple will allow dual-booting iPadOS and macOS on the iPad Pro.

I disagree. My iPad Pro 13 with the Magic Keyboard is my go to computer for anything other than work related tasks. I have a MacBook Pro, a Linux box, and a Windows machine. The cursor behavior on an iPad is excellent. My only complaints about iPad are related to the restrictions for 3rd party browser engines. Yes, the iPad is a great touch device, and that is what my iPad Mini is for. I rarely touch the screen of my iPad Pro with my fingers. One of Apple's biggest mistakes was adding a cursor to the iPad. iPad is a touch first device, so it should be a touch first device. It's a good question. However with Apple so focused on user experience; I doubt they would give an option. IOS would be tablet mode; hooked up to Magic Keyboard would be Mac OS mode. We can dream and form theories; but I don't think this is a wild idea. These devices are all sharing the same chips at this point.I personally don’t want a keyboard restriction on which OS I can use.
And if I want to use a keyboard with iPadOS do I have to wait from MacOS to automatically boot before I can switch back to iPadOS?
