One thing comments about today's event prove: People will gripe about everything and no matter what, claim Apple doesn't innovate. Just proves how much lower the bar is for Nokia, Moto, Samsung, LG, and HTC.
I have a scary vision of the social underclass sitting on a train, having sold a child to fund a very generic looking iphone 6, crappy Beats head phones and the clunky watch on their wrist.

Top space already has receiving speaker for phone calls, tone and such. Put another speaker next to it doesn't make sense.
Bottom space speaker can go to the right site because the left size has microphone underneath which cause bad feedback and echo if you put a speaker on top of it. If only 1 speaker on front right, it's even uglier.
Wrong, one has optical stablization which is night and day difference.
That's a bold statement to make, given that Apple has done incredibly well with their digital image stabilisation in the past. How about we wait and see the review before throwing out statements like that? After all, they both have the exact same components and software, with the exception of the stabilisation.
Might be a prominent change, but I will stand reserved here.

Don't beat yourself up. Really remains to be seen how much of an improvement the OIS will be compared to Apples previous digital IS. I don't expect that much of an improvement. Not to mention that every other component and software regarding the camera is identical between both models.
Today Apple made history by entering the phablet space, yuck.
Seriously, if anyone needs a screen that large, they should get a real tablet instead.
I'll never understand the need to such a massive screen in a portable device. On top of that, it just doesn't look sexy.

The Plus is too big for my liking but the regular one looks just right. I can't wait to get my "hands" on them.
To me, Sapphire screen is just marketing gimmick. The current 5/5S screen is very good already. The new one on 6/6+ is even better. Who needs sapphire screen? You don't use your phone as the way you use your watch which may bump into things when you move your arm around.

It wasn't that long ago that a lot of you were all saying how the Iphone 5.5" did not exist because there were no leaks about it. You all suffered from a severe case of idiocy.
Then you also said , along with so called analysts who could not analyse a yogurt, that it would be available later this year. Maybe early next year.

THE IPHONE 6 (4.7") IS AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER THE 19TH AND THE IPHONE 6 PLUS (5.5") WILL BE AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER THE 19TH.

Now the Apple watch.
I have read reports across the net that it looks ugly and has no real use as well as being too expensive.
Firstly lets deal with the looks. Yes looks are a matter of individual taste, though I like the looks. However when it comes down to it this is a case of form having to give way slightly to function. Most of the time it is the other way round.
trying to swipe on a circular screen would be a no no.
It can be done in the case of the Moto 360 but works badly and not as good as should be hence why one of the best smart watches so far (the Pebble) is not round!
Now we come to it's use. It has lots of uses. Most of which Tim Cook had no time for.(pun intended). It is a nice compliment to the Iphone. in the way that an MP3 player is a nice compliment to a smartphone.
The smartphone does all the things the MP3 player does but that does not mean it is useless.
The Apple watch has lots of things it can do that the Iphone can do but in different ways and better ways depending on the intention.
Now we come to the price. $350 is a lot cheaper then most of us thought it would be and while there are other watches out there cheaper. Apple does not do cheap for cheap sakes and the Apple watch is a lot of watch for your money.
I believe the Samsung galaxy Gear was cheaper when it was released but was not built or engineered as well as the Apple watch.
There are some short comings with the Apple watch I will grant you but I am not here , unlike most of you, to always moan and b**ch about a product and/or company just because I am not capable of creating anything truly amazing or even memorable that changes things outside my own little selfish world.
I for one think that if we all come together and work together for the benefit of others then we can change the world.
Though that only happens if other people stop moaning all the time and detracting from products just because they can't scratch your a**e from space with a laser and even if they did you still would not be happy.
Lets not forget that it takes lots of hard work by lots of people from designers to engineers and software people to make something like this and try to deliver something that lives up to certain high goals.
Most of you don't give credit where it is due.
Why not instead of moaning all the time, why not try creating something like this yourself that's better in every way.
THEN AND ONLY THEN WILL YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO RIP OTHER PEOPLE'S HARD WORK APART JUST TO DISGUISE THE FACT YOUR A SELFISH AND UNHAPPY PERSON.

Short version: I'm a mindless fanboy who doesn't use any of this equipment professionally but as a toy.

How come I can not use a iPad as a phone yet? Apple come on now I want to carry my iMac around also.
Apple cannot afford to have every serious phone geek turn to Android for a large display, it would have sealed iOS fate as a small market share niche system.
My ONLY qualm is with the choice of thinner over longer battery life. Somehow with a 50% more power efficient A8 and a much larger chassis, Apple managed to nearly match the battery life of the 5S. Thin is nice, but battery life crucial. Hopefully Apple made the battery as easy to change as on the 5S so we aren't nailed with an annual $80 "usage fee" for having Apple change the battery.
This battery problem is universal: all mobile phones have crap battery life. The goal should be a device that lasts for days between charges even with heavy use.
Battery life aside, I'm blown away by the new design and features. The barometric pressure sensore is sweet, "Pay" is cool, one handed mode is awesome, the new camera rocks, and the curved edges are groovy. Apple are wise to keep the same price as the 5S so as to remain competitive with Android and avoid becoming a niche player.
I can't wait to get a 4.7" version; coming from a 4S this will be a bitchin' upgrade!
Not going to say it doesn't need it, but I'm not going to whine about it not having 2gb. Also, as long as Google Services isn't running all the time in the background, I think you'll be fine.
I think Apple is returning to its roots. The 6 looks a lot like the original iPhone to me. That HTC is ugly as sin.
