We should be able get Control Center to look like this mockup.
It also integrates with dropbox and other third party storage optionsYes, just like in iOS 10 with iCloud Drive (which is now replaced by Files app) you can use the share sheet to save any file to Files app (formerly iCloud Drive on iOS). In iCloud Drive if you edit a file you only edit that single file, doesn't duplicate anything unless you duplicate it, just like on a Mac or a PC. Files would work the same.
Hopefully this gets fixed as most of the time use Voice Siri but would love like how I use pull down for spotlight a million times a day would be great to be able to enter siri questions into spotlight. Toggling an accessibility feature on an off each time defeats the purpose of trying to save time by using siri in the first place.
[doublepost=1496880699][/doublepost]How dos files work? How do you put stuff into the files app/folder?I don't think Steve Jobs would be rolling over in his grave over the files application. Which ultimately is making iPhone much better and more organized.

Is there any word on iOS 11 allowing multi user sign in on an iPad? This is a huge requirement in our household before we buy a new iPad!
I use it all the time, I swap at work from secure to unsecure networks if I need to check FB, I use it at home, where I have two networks, one faster than the other. Like daily.
project fi is available on ios now?
I was wondering the same thing? How does one get project fi on their iPhone?
Pretty sure you just put your Fi SIM card into the iPhone and it'll work on supported networks, maybe not all the ones that the Nexus/Pixel phones support, but if you google it, you find people using it with some success on iPhones. I doubt Wifi calling would work and some other features though.
Would pdfs be able to be imported into files from a flash drive?
Agreed. In the new economy of project based work, I could have a day where I am on 5 networks in 3 locations.i work in a office where there are multiple wi-fi networks. At times, I would like to be able to switch between those networks for various reasons. Being able to do that from the Control Center would be nice.
Why would you need to be able to do this? How many people are interacting with two simultaneous networks in the same location?Still missing a fundamental feature here: be able to quickly swap from one WiFi network to another right out of the Control Center. Anyone else in the need of this?
Bluetooth? Yes. WiFi? No...the suggested "feature" of swapping networks is unnecessary. Interacting with multiple Bluetooth devices in the same location is common, while interacting with multiple WiFi networks in the same location is not.Do you just not use multiple Bluetooth devices? It is kind of a non-issue if you don't use bluetooth or only use one bluetooth thing. But with multiple head phones and speakers in my house, it's a hassle to select which one I want the device to play to. So much so that I take advantage of my bluetooth speakers a lot less than I otherwise would.
The issue there is your office IT setup, not iOS.i work in a office where there are multiple wi-fi networks. At times, I would like to be able to switch between those networks for various reasons. Being able to do that from the Control Center would be nice.
Sounds like a problem with your network setup if you have two...I use it all the time, I swap at work from secure to unsecure networks if I need to check FB, I use it at home, where I have two networks, one faster than the other. Like daily.
It's a feature, you can remove apps from the dock and labels come back. Since docked items are considered to be your main points of interest and most used they don't need labels. At least hows how I see it. I wish there was an option to turn off labels but that will never happen.

If you need to manually switch between the two, your router is outdated. Can't speak for the ppl you're replying to (and weirdly adamant about proving them "wrong" for desiring a feature, LOL) -- but, personally, my home router puts out a 2.4GHz signal and a 5GHz signal. It's not a "problem" with my setup; on the contrary, it's useful to have two. I don't often jump from one to the other on a single device, but I can see how others might want to. Sometimes one has a stronger signal than the other, depending where I am in the house.
If they're getting rid of the home button then this suddenly makes way more sense...Swiping down to get back to the lock screen is stupid. I never need to get back to the lock screen and now it's 2 swipes just to check notifications.
Lol. Mouse support. But I do want multiuser for iPad.Still don't see anything to make me switch back from Android, sadly.
No mention of mouse support or multi-user accounts (although the Files app looks promising), but we'll see.
Apple is taking it slow with the (real) changes, as usual.
Actually, I'm hoping that frameworks used to connect cloud services into Files (and system) would allow you to likewise do that for a USB Flash drive so that Files (and other apps through system) would be able to browse flash disks. If Apple wants the iPad to fill the role of a laptop/desktop, it really needs to add this and files seems like the opportunity. Having lived in Africa for a year where network support can be highly variable, this could open the iPad more considerably to a number of other markets (as well as use cases in more affluent nations). I believe Cook has expressed that he's not worried about the iPad cannibalizing Mac sales -- even that they don't really consider this in design/release. If that's true, this seems like a necessary feature. Unfortunately, I haven't seen this discussed much at all on the web, yet.
