Put then DxO labs is not the same as the benchmarks you listed. The camera review and rating is not the same as the benchmarks.
I mean have you ever heard people discussing how one phone is 1 or 2 seconds faster than another when playing a game or opening apps? No...they go by ease of use and functionality and overall user experience.
IMHO benchmarks are useless yardsticks....NO MATTER WHAT PHONE COMES OUT AHEAD

Of course they are, until the Note one day outperforms an iPhone (if that ever happens).

Lol I already bought a Surface Go (Best) to supplement my Apple ecosystem (I own nearly one of everything Apple makes in the past half decade or so, aside from what I deem is a 'dumpster fire' experience wise [home pod I am looking at you]).

I would never buy Samsung ‘garbage’ again especially after ‘experiencing’ Bixby and also returning a phone that could have exploded in my pocket.

*edit* editing on my Surface Go but I had to post initially on my iPhone 7+ 128GB Space Grey Unlocked because Microsoft Edge hates https://forums.macrumors.com/ apparently, lol. This website runs like hot garbage on this browser, which isn't surprising (that is, that Microsoft's Edge Browser is a dumpster fire, but it runs relatively well for 90% of the websites I frequent versus Google Chrome running like a Docker Whale if Docker was the opposite of a Linux container (like Windows OS? ROFL!).).

Except in everyday tasks the S9 is faster and has WAY better ram management then the X. Benchmarks are not everything. Everyone knows Apple's CPU is way faster then the ones used by Android you don't need to keep harping on about it. If anything it just shows what a great job Samsung have done with a under performing chip as it beats the X in speed test videos.

Haha way better RAM management, that's why we need 8 gigs in a phone. Right.

Probably why I've been told by the Geniuses that I shouldn't be trying to do so much with my phone because it can't handle real workload. Since been escalated to Apple and they ended up being unable to resource the cause so now I have a fourth replacement iPhone X.

Jeez sounds like you perhaps have wasted a ton of time trying to get the product to do something it wasn't designed to do. Should it not be 'Genii' ? Rofl

Sounds like a personal problem. I wouldn't keep going back to the same phone if it were having such issues. I can only speak for myself, but my X has been great since day 1.

Ehhh I highly doubt an Apple Store Genius used a 'stop word' like 'should not' - they're vehemently trained to refrain from using 'negative' language. I think you're kind of dressing your story up to inflate your sense of self worth / how much you legitimately use the phone past what it was actually designed to accommodate, reasonably, given the design of the product.

I think what you're perhaps attempting (you have a big opportunity for improvement, however) to convey here is that you have higher expectation of the iPhone that you chose to buy than the reality of what the iPhone X can actually do on a day to day basis.

That's is old news. Nobody cracked Note 8's and S9's Iris scanners not even close/
The same Chaos Computer Club in Germany didin't want to try it one more time because "It's not fun". So obviously their method doesn't work anymore with newer Samsung phone which have updated hardware and software.

And again Samsung Pay works with the Iris Scanner.

They didn’t try and crack it because there’s no need to, it’s the same tech as before. That’s why it’s ‘no fun’ as they defeated it already.

The store and Apple themselves were fully able to replicate the issue, but unable to tell me why or provide a fix. It's not some extravagant attempt to burn out the phone by any means. It's just web browsing, picture taking, messaging, and music playback.

It's a work phone and our department is more or less the face of the company and we have to have the latest and greatest to "inspire". Can't complain with free other than the device just doesn't function well for us.

It's hilarious to hear the Apple loyalist talk of huge bezels and dated designs. Never have you heard them complain about such things before the X. It's like a light switch, one second they're completely loving their iPhones, and shouting from the mountain tops about premium industrial design. Not one mention of them having the biggest bezels in the industry. Not even a mention of the design being recycled for years. And then just like that, they absolutely hate even a small chin on a phone. They speak as if they've been accustomed to having the smallest bezels in the industry for years. And now the new mantra is, "notch? I don't even notice it." Lol, delusional indeed.

Loving the hypocrisy

That's a bummer, never had an issue myself.

I don’t know what’s going on then because I do all of those things on my iPhone X and have no issues. I’ve been able to does things for years on my phones be the iPhone or Samsung galaxy devices.

Lavender or Blue with a Yellow Stylus...are those really the only two color options in the US?!?! I guess they really don’t well these to sell well!

At least throw in a dark grey or black.

Biggest difference here is that the Note 9 actually has hardware/software/features/design/functionality/and premium display/sizes to match that price tag. Argue all you want, iPhone X is not worth its price tag.

Also note this is macrumors not samsungrumors. You will have the herd mentality defending apple's halo product till death and no matter what realistic features and functions the note 9 offers that makes the iPHone X look overpriced, the herd here will defend it with their life.

Move on and enjoy your note 9 because millions will. These "features" and "designs" will not appeal to apple buyers; they will hate it and mock it and say it sucks but until their beloved apple phone implements the same thing 3 years later they will then rave and swear it's the holy grail.

Rinse and repeat it's always the same from apple fanatics.

PS - Galaxy watch is a hit - every since the S2 revisions, it has become a real nice watch. Compared to an apple watch, the apple watch is the most hideous square toy watch in existence. Not only that, it doesn't even have MST. let's not forget about samsung pay MST. If you don't understand the significance of just that feature alone, you stick with your apple products.

THE ONLY REASON TO BUY AN OVERPRICED APPLE PRODUCT IS THAT APPLE STANDS BY THEIR PRODUCTS BAR NONE. This is the reason millions are willing to fork over their cash. I will say this: Samsung support for their tech devices especially their watch/phones are the worse in the industry. This I have experienced first hand over and over again. If anything samsung should copy it should be how apple handles customer care and actually gives a shnt about their customers first and foremost.
You’re jumping the gun. The other difference you didn’t mention is that the note 9 is a year newer than the iPhone X. You can make a more fair comparison when the new iPhone comes out in september ;)

Also, I know you probably get a kick out of spending hours customizing the layout of your home screen and making doodles on your phone, but I prefer to use the time spent on my phone getting shnt done. That’s why I choose iPhone.

And you can argue all you want about the Apple Watch being a hideous square toy. The FACT is that it destroys the galaxy watch in sales. If you like it great, but most people will disagree with you.

And yes, you are correct. Apples customer service is far superior to Samsung’s.

I wish iOS gets also a DeX mode. Sooo much more productive when using a Keyboard and Trackpad and see everything on a bigger screen.

....hmm I dont think anyone can defend phones "slowing down to a crawl" when Apple specifically enabled this unannouced feature on the world 18 months ago....

Omg, this again?

What Apple did and the reason Samsung phones slow down have nothing to do with one another and you know it. One happens when the battery is no longer able to sustain the phone. The other one happens because the phone is a mess.

This is why I don't gamble with Samsung products, even if some of them sure seem nice.

Lol :D

128GB storage on the base model and 512 on the more advanced
6GB of Ram
Dual Camera with variable aperture
Quick USB C Charging out of the box
USB A to USB C adapter in the box
Micro USB to USB C adapter in the box
Quick Wireless Charging
4000 MaH battery
SD card slot for 600GB storage on the base model and 1TB(!) on the advanced
stylus pen
Iris scanner and fingerprint scanner, depending on what you like
Full screen without any places randomly cut out to place a selfie cam
QHD AMOLED display, probably best on the market
Headphone jack

Totally keeping our mouths shut, patiently waiting till Apple ports the TouchBar to the iPhone :D

LOLOLOL

How long did it take you to brainstorm this list of things that Samsung’s new phone has over Apple’s year-old model. Were you holding your breath the entire time? I get a kick outta you android fans that compare all your brand new Samsungs to the iPhone X that came out a year ago. Oh yeah, cuz that’s the only way you can compete. And yet, the N9 still falls short of the year-old X in benchmarks. You can add-on all the stupid accessories and peripherals to a phone that you want. More mahs. More megapixels. More storage. More RAM. But they’re only as good as the chipset and OS that makes them all work. Samsung tried so hard, pouring so much more into their phones to KEEP UP with Apple. And it ALWAYS comes up short. The iPhone X beats the N9, and that’s not even the N9s true competitor, which will be released this september. So yes, you are more than welcome to keep your mouth shut, at least until then.

Synthetic benchmarks don't equate to real world performance. The fastest Apple SoC in iPad Pro still lags, freezes and randomly reboots.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

A few issues some people have do not reflect real world performance. All iPad Pros, and newer iPads, run exceptionally well. So do iPhones. But the things iPads pull off in photo editing and illustration software.... try some real-time liquify effects in, say, Affinity Photo and try to achieve that speed on any other device, including full desktop computers.... Crazy fast.

I'm not "butthurt." I'm not the one telling people to get a life.

No, you're just making the statements you make and wearing that avatar, jeez.
