Hands-On With the iPhone XR Clear Case From Apple

Clear plastic cases like this look like some kind of cheap anti-theft device you'd expect to see slapped on the electronics in a store.

And it’s ‘only’ £40.80 if your employer participates in Apple’s Employee Reward Programme... almost as if Apple are charging an excess if we ever leave the European Union.

Surprised to see it didn't feature a large sticker on the back of the case: "SALE iPhone trade in SALE. SALE NOW ON. PLEASE... WE BEG YOU"
 
Extremely happy with my Apple clear case. I owned two other clear cases before and this one definitely feels the most premium.

Other than a short lived annoying issue with air bubble gaps appearing on the back of my iPhone (which was remedied by removing and putting the case back on a couple of times), I couldn’t be happier with the quality! I’m definitely happy this rumor was true and that Apple didn’t ignore their XR customers.

Now if Apple only released clear cases for the Xs and Xs Max too, then my girlfriend wouldn’t be getting so jealous all the time.

Nice to read some positivity. I don’t always agree with Apples prices, but I do agree with their quality standards with accessories and products. No matter what the user chooses to pay for a price aside from the competition, and even if you did have any type issues with the case, Apple would always be willing to make it right. All that matters is your happy with the case.

If they’re running anything lower than iOS 12. 12 and later versions are not a part of the ban.

Yea, i don’t really care much of the negativity and toxicity on these forums. If i’m genuinely happy with any Apple product, i just come out and say it now, regardless of being the minority voice. I spent my money the way I saw fit and can certainly attest to the high quality standards of the product. Others really can’t do the same because well.... they don’t own the case.

Maybe the price could have been a little cheaper, but in the grand scheme of things, after spending $800 on my XR, $40 more is the least of my concerns.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. I got one today and it’s going back. The buttons have almost no feedback, there are some sharp bits on the bottom and the bottom isn’t covered. This is a terrible case considering the price. I got a Caudabe Lucid Clear that’s also a hard clear case and it’s miles better in build quality and feel.

It's so tough when facts stand in the way of hating on another Apple product, LOL. Did you check the price? The clear Spigen is more expensive than the Apple version. So you can get the Apple Logo for $5 less.
