You are joking, right?Does AT&T send you an email when they receive your phone?
Per the return instructions:Does AT&T send you an email when they receive your phone?
I was originally going to turn-in my 6 Plus to AT&T, but decided to keep it instead. I called AT&T about wanting to keep it, and the rep said I can do that. A case will be created and AT&T will contact me in 48-72 hours to get my payment. I haven't received that call yet though. So are you waiting for them to bill you for your remainder balance? I was going to turn in my 6 plus but I change my mind, going to give it to my mom now. Went into att store and try to pay it off today and they said no I can't do that. So I called customer service but the rep said she doesn't even see the balance of my old phone so just wait until they bill me.

Same thing happened to me. They would t take the phone at the store, nor could they take a payment. The rep I spoke to didn't say anything like that. She told me that when she view my account, all it said on her screen is that it shows fulfilled and she didn't see a balance. Just wait for the 15 days to pass and they'll add the balance on my bill. Seems like nobody knows the answer.
Therein lies the problem. I suppose if you get a couple of the same answer, that's the one to go with... lolAnd prey tell how will you know what the "right" answer will be from the several different ones I'm sure you will get?
Be careful majority are as often wrong as right.Therein lies the problem. I suppose if you get a couple of the same answer, that's the one to go with... lol

Oh my god classic AT&T. Now I know why they named it "Next".Well I'll give another data point to help.
I was told online via chat to go into a corporate store to turn my phone in.
Once there, I proceeded to wait 1 hour to be helped and was promptly told that I had to go to Apple to trade in my phone. They said that Apple should have sent me a box and a label, and that I had to go get that from them.
I told them that wasn't acceptable, and then asked what would happen if I just didn't trade it in. I was told that it would just be billed to my account. So instead of dealing with craigslist, I traded my phone in to At&t for $310, which is $10 more than I owe on it. So I now have $310 in credit on my bill and when they bill me I will be even with them. What a complete cluster.
In my trip to a corporate store to turn in my old phone, I was told to go to a third party retailer store just because they are licensed by Apple. I tried telling them that just because they are authorized to work on Apple computers doesn't mean they are an Apple-owned store. The store manager came out and called them anyway before being told they have nothing to do with our issue. Then they told me to return the phone to Apple. I tried politely explaining that AT&T issued the Next plan, and it would be AT&T who charges me if the phone is not turned in; I didn't know where the phone was supposed to be mailed to, but I knew where it WASNT to be mailed to. They acted dumbfounded and gave me no useful info.
As I mentioned earlier, the same was true when I tried to pay off the balance of the phone a few days later. In all actuality, I still haven't paid for the balance, I just have a big enough credit on my account to cover the cost for when they decide they want their money and bill me for the remaining balance.
I won't be using Next in the future. The plan isn't too bad in my opinion (I essentially got more for the phone than it was worth by paying it off and still making a profit, all while paying no interest), but the lack of knowledge by in-store reps and the difficulty in even giving them money that is rightfully theirs makes it not worth the hassle.
There is no balance if you're already upgraded. The balance will show as zero and they expect you to send your old phone in. If you don't return the phone within the allotted time frame, you'll be charged what the remaining balance would have been.go to AT&T store
go to pay kiosk inside
log in with your account info
choose the selection to pay off NEXT balance
Might even work via the website
My guess is that you just need to return the phone and should be able to keep the charger and the cable. But keep in mind that I haven't returned mine yet.
So what happens if I decide to keep the 6? Will I just get billed for the difference? Not getting a conclusive answer from AT&T reps...
