Only a couple of people - one was a teenage girl who was walking blindly whilst texting, staring at the screen and listening to music via wired earphones.

I'm more careful with my phones; if I have to answer a call outside I'll stand in a doorway, otherwise the phone doesn't come out of my pocket and I use my airpods or other bluetooth phones with it. The X is too expensive to drop.

I've seen a few, it isn't as elusive as some believe it to be.

There are so many purchase options that it isn't too surprising to see people overlook that £999 starting price point. iPhone prices have steadily been increasing over the years, and the 7 Plus could run you £919 on launch. If you have monthly pricing via a network contract or something like iUP, then it's easier to convince yourself that you're "only" paying a little more than before.

BACK IN MY DAY, phone contracts were 12 months and the handset was usually free. Not anymore, but consumers seem to be cool with it ;)

I bought mine outright - it is the most expensive phone I've ever had but its nearest competitors - Pixel XL, Note 8 - although cheaper didn't interest me.

I would think that depends where you live as I still haven’t seen one when I’ve been out and about in South Wales. I’m not saying richer areas are likely to have them as that’s never made a difference before but there seems to be very few Brits in here saying they have seen lots of them apart from some in central London.

I’ve seen a tide of them recently here in Seattle whereas before it was slim pickins.

As a tech hub I would say that’s a pretty good indicator that the phone is somewhat catching on as opposed to I don’t know a tiny hamlet like Dubuque Iowa.

It is my inner nerd to notice sometimes what type of phone someone has riding the bus and train here in Seattle.

I haven’t seen anyone with an X in the wild other than one other person. I just found that a little interesting. Has anyone else noticed that?
Not one! Bonus!

I saw one in the wild while I got my car detailed. Asked him how he liked it and he said "It's an iPhone.".

I'm guessing he just got it because it was the newest and best, he knew jack s*** about his car either.

I saw my first iPhone X yesterday when we had a large meet up of our friends and children. My friends husband had one. He’s changing it though as he can’t get on with the lack of home button and feels it’s too small after using a Plus for 3 years. He wasn’t very complimentary overall and after playing with it for quite a while I can confirm it feels like an iPhone lol. I can’t say I was blown away by it and didn’t get the feel it was any more premium than other iPhones.

I’m glad I’ve finally seen one though as they have been so rare in my part of the world.

None of my friends or family own one. They did like mine when I had it.... though. I’ve seen one chap with one.... a Chinese tourist, Male, young, just a few days ago in fact. Most people I know seem to have a 7 of some kind as their main phone and anyone with a business phone usually has an android device now.

Seems like Apple aren’t selling enough of them, that’s probably why they’re still so rare out on the street.

Apple shares dropped on Monday after a report that the company ordered a drastic cut in iPhone X production.

Nikkei reported Monday that the tech giant told its suppliers to reduce iPhone X production to 20 million units for the first quarter from the more than 40 million units target Apple gave in November. The news agency cited weaker-than-expected sales results at the end of the holiday season as the reason for the move.

Apple shares closed down 2.1 percent Monday after the report. The stock has dropped 5.1 percent since Jan. 22, wiping out $46.4 billion in shareholder value in the past week.

Anecdotally I'm in Seattle also, and have seen quite a lot lately. Was on a fairly empty bus today and the guy next to me also had one. Went to a concert that was full of UW students last weekend and tons of them had it also.

I’ve definitely seen an uptick in the amount of Xs over the last month or so. Before that it was very slim pickings.

I've seen a few here in Jersey, my Girlfriend has one, so does my buddy I sit next to in the office. The problem here is not the price its availability, most carriers here only got stock in January.

I’ve seen 4 today alone on my commute to work. Saw 2 yesterday.

I’ve also seen two pairs or airpods today and I saw one pair yesterday.
