I understand how returning the phone can be inconvenient since a new one wouldn’t be in stock. This happened to me with the 6S, it came to me defective when I received it on launch day.

I went to the Apple store. They were out of stock of new ones. Instead of returning it, the Apple Genius took a look at it was able to see this phone wasn’t usable but despite being on backorder, they had phones set aside for a situation like this. I understand Apple’s phone support wasn’t giving a replacement for OP and stores are sold out, but give the Apple store a shot at fixing the solution. It may be easier to explain the problem in person and visually rather than over the phone anyway.

so how can they replace it if there's no stock either?

I did mention a couple posts ago when this happened to me on the launch of the 6S that the Genius at the Apple store was able to replace mine despite being sold out because they had ones set aside. They were sold out the day after launch, yet were able to replace my defective phone.

oh yeah, come to think of it, they did that for my iphone 5 as well. I forgot they have some set aside for replacements lol

Makes me wonder if all of his returns finally bit him in the ass. I remember people getting on to him for pulling that crap all the time in a previous post a while back, with Apple Watches or something.

He is a problematic customer and Apple is probably tired of dealing with him.

As for the one asking here’s a list of issues:

1. I couldn’t restore from my previous iPhone 7 Plus backup. I keeps giving me an error.
2. The phone froze on me several times while surfing, browsing pictures and sending pictures to a text. The phone literally froze, I couldn’t do anything.
3. The phone does not auto sync from iTunes. My iTunes is uptodate and I’ve rebooted both. The phone gets recognized both phone and computer and it charges. It just fails to auto sync.

No because they can get away with it. I want my replacement but I don’t want them to get off easy. These are senior advisors I’ve dealt with. Giant useless waste of air.
[doublepost=1506560566][/doublepost]
I did but the “senior advisor” again I quote, senior advisor... had that disgusting tone that is dismissive and make it seem like it was my fault. Like hold up, I was the one who purchased 5 days ago, I expect this to work out of the box. What a useless senior advisor you are.
[doublepost=1506560801][/doublepost]Btw when’s the best time to order for stock replenishment? Is it 10pm?
Sounds like you feel you are entitled to the ultimate support when you are not. Return and get new or enjoy your broken phone.

Yeah ... demand they replace your phone instead of just returning it ... that'll really show the multi-billion dollar company they are bad

OP is one of those people who orders food, eats the entire meal, proceeds to tell you how horrible it was, demands it be comped, and then demands to see the manager when you tell him it won't be comped because he ate the whole thing before he said anything.

People really will do anything for free stuff. It's incredible. Based on RiddlaBronc's post, it looks like OP certainly already knows how to get to Apple's complaints department. He's gotten free stuff before. It's infuriating how people think they can take advantage of a business, even if that business is the biggest business in the world.

Work for what you have. It's the only way you'll appreciate it.

People should know that OP is a serial complainer and drama queen.

I remember him/her saying how Apple would be “taught a lesson” when there was some inconsequential “drama” with his/her Apple Watch, and here we are again.

If you look at his past posts and threads, he seems to be a tantrum throwing child. Seems like his parents buy him everything and feels entitled. At least he comes out looking that way.

Just take a look at his one of many gems of thread

I walked into an Apple store the other day want to play with AR on the iPhone 8 and guess what, every app I launched related to AR crashed as soon as I hit it. I even restarted the phone! Not sure what is going on there... Apple staff next to me just said to try the iPad's since the iPhone 8's weren't working properly... what a great way to sell a new iPhone! ;)
This happened to me in the Las Vegas store with the AR game that was shown on the table in the keynote.

Classic troll making pointless topics. I am surprised he/she can make these topics constantly each release window. What's the next one for the SE 2?

"They sent me a box that was too big for the SE 2 to be shipped in?"

The other back up worked. But still, the phone had several issues, phone freezing multiple times just by using simple tasks, and I couldn’t auto sync from iTunes at all.

So you did mange to restore from a backup. Have you by any chanced updated to iOS 11.0.1, it came out yesterday.

Edit: Just realized his account is suspended, oh well.

The sad part about this is that OP will not learn from us telling him that he is a serial complainer. He’ll just continue ignoring us and move right along complain.

When someone says it's about the principle of the matter it's usually about the money.

In this case it actually appears to be about the principle. Except, it doesn't need to be.

Return it.

20 pages worth? Someone's got too much time on their hands. Just sayin'.

I, uh, don't want to do the super easy thing and get my money back.

Nope. I want Apple to SUFFER.

But, um.... I'm a super reasonable customer I swear. Why else would I want to make sure Apple pays for the inconvenience I've suffered by electively buying their product? I'm just an easygoing guy. Pinky swear!

It’s obviously frustrating when a phone you’ve been looking forward to doesn’t work but the OP appears to have lost perspective. It’s not hard to see how people dealing with him became irritated. I hope both his phone and attitude get fixed.

He doesn't want it fixed though. He's made that abundantly clear. He wants Apple to suffer, not just make things right.

The problem with people who are never satisfied is... well... that's the problem.

My last post got deleted because I only posted a google link and didn’t explain how to select the correct choice from google. I apologize for how condescending this must seem especially when urgent complaints that were not explained must be brought to apple’s attention.

So here is what I did to find an answer to your problem about not being able to locate a way to contact apple (not I provided some challenging methods too because I notice you didn’t want to take the easy way out):
1) Step 1 go to google.
2) type in the search bar, “apple customer service” — See photo for help

3) Click blue eyeglass button to search (again, see photo above)
4) Scroll down until you see a promising option (see other photo)

5) Click the option.
6) Scroll down to support and then click your favorite means of contact. (See other other photo)

I hope you found this helpful. I added in a couple non condescending smiley faces and a heart to avoid appearing rude.

Again, I apologize to those who were offended by the condescending tone in my first post.

OP are you serious? Holy crap just return the phone. You're creating your own issue.

PS replacement iPhones from the Genius Bar are refurbs whereas if you exchanged it you'd get another brand new one...
