I live in the EU, so I won't have access to the Apple Vision Pro at launch. But, I believe my biggest personal use case will be for video content consumption while laying on bed or travelling on a plane. And for this purpose only, I am not sure if I would need the "Pro" variant of the product, but we shall see.
I see this product as the very first MacBook Air. It was severely overpriced for what it had technically. This time, however, Apple made the first version of the product as a super capable product, but the software needs to catch up with the product.
I feel I will be in the market for the third version of Apple Vision Pro. I have a feeling Apple will launch Apple Vision Pro 2 in the EU, and wider markets with Apple Vision 3, perfecting the hardware and software. That's when I hope to purchase the product.
As some others have mentioned, I don't think this product is dead on arrival. The only downside is it is a product that needs to be "experienced". When enough people experience the product and YouTube reviewers review the hell of it, then it will be something people will be able to purchase confidently.
I also think once the wireless transmission technologies get even better, a version of Apple Vision Pro can be produced as a companion product to a Mac. All the processing guts will be on a Mac (or even an iPhone), and all the sensors will be on Apple Vision. This could be the "Air" version of Apple Vision Pro.
