At any price point it would be considered either too expensive, or too cheap. It is a premium product, and priced as such. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Yes photography books are expensive, but the level of art, creativity and technical excellence in books like those from David LaChappelle make them truly worth it and a collector's item. They stand as works of art. Some of his books skyrocket in price after they sell out.

These are just bland, boring product shots from a corporation.

Hopefully someone takes high res photos of the high res photos and puts them all in a PDF/ePub so we can view this book on our iPad Pros.

Interesting timing, since these days it looks like apple is nothing but history...

"It starts with the 1998 iMac, one of the first products Ive designed at Apple, and ends with the 2015 Apple Pencil."

So what about all those Apple products before the arrival of Sir Jony? From the Apple I to the first Powerbook to the Quadras, Performas, etc. What about the second Apple logo (the multi-striped one)? Surely all of those were designed in California, too. Those designers should have their contributions included. Just because they were done before Mr Ive's arrival from England doesn't mean they aren't worth including.

credentials: decades long mac fan.

the making of this book is a very sad autopsy.

companies that are looking forward don't have time to look back.

with this book, ives has clearly told everyone that he is only about legacy.
may he continue to get even fatter and have a continued retirement that he has been on for over 4 years.
thanks for the memories, i guess.

ps: jony, i can't wait until the next iteration of google's pixel fon comes out. it just might be the game changer.
pps: jony, i can't wait until the next generation of microsoft's surface pro is out. i hear microsoft is thinking that they might go after the high end. might be some competition at the high end. i wonder why microsoft is thinking there is some possibilities there.

Being that it has been mentioned several times in the thread with examples that would be the correct deduction yes. The other would be to assume you can't read.
Do you get your jollies off on jumping to conclusions and being condescending?
