Mr. Pitrelli told Sylar that he has had the ability all along, he just needed to use the Empathetic part of his brain. Seems like Elle was his training partner.

I found it interesting that Sylar took her power, but she still retained it as well. She also felt better after he took it? Swapped a little empathy for her powers??? Who knows...

Recall that Elle's power had gone rogue from when Claire's brother had thrown water on her when she tried to shock Claire at the Bennett's house about 5 episodes ago. That was when she started to complain about the 'pain' of it and trying to keep it under control. Sylar took that 'pain' and the rogue part of her power away, leaving her normal power intact.

I do have to admit, Sylar really rubbed me the wrong way the first two seasons, but now I'm really getting to like that character.

I thought it was interesting that Hiro was brought back to a 10 year old. Mr. Pitrelli didn't finish taking his powers, which means Hiro had them prior to being 10 years old... Was born with them?

Would appear so. So apparently, only Tracy, Jessica, Nikki, and Nathan were the 'lab babies' (that we know of).

The painter died last season (Isaac), who is still publishing the Comic Book series?

Good question. Perhaps a loophole they need to (quickly) fill, or they already have that planned out (perhaps the comic book company is run by Primatech.. ironically enough, a paper/publishing company?)..

I also don't buy that Claire has the catalyst to complete the power transformation. I would have thought that Hiro or possibly Ando was the Catalyst. It would give Ando's character a real meaning in the context of the show. He seemed to be too major a character to just be Hiro's friend.

Ando's story has yet to totally develop, so that will come down the road and will be really interesting. Right now, he's just the bro-friend.

What has me wondering, is what Kaito's role in the 'catalyst' is. Arthur just figured out that 'something else' is needed, Angela knows that a catalyst is needed for the formula, but somehow, Kaito is supposed to know what it is? How is Arthur going to get that out of him, unless he can talk to the dead? And if he can, why not just call in Allison DuBois? Medium/Heroes crossover, like they did with Crossing Jordan/Las Vegas? ;)

WITHOUT looking at ANY posts in this thread (I didn't watch Season 3 yet, only 1 & 2). Which season comes out tonight?

Not knowing where you are geographically, it's hard to say. If you're in the US, we're at least 8 - 9 episodes into season 3.

BL.

I'm in Virginia. aaaaaand I saw on T.V that theres a Season Premiere today at 10ish..maybe 9? I saw this commercial yesterday btw.

That's interesting.. Season 3 started either on September 22nd or September 29th (I'm pretty sure it was 9/22). Did you see the Heroes Online commercial? Was this also on NBC? If not, you're looking at another channel that's trying to replay episodes from this season, like G4 or something..

I watched it on Channel 4..NBC. so Its prob not that. but No I didn't check NBC.com or heroes.com or any website. but oh well, I'll catch Seas. 3 on DVD.

Issac gave a bunch of unfinished comics to a fan/messenger from the publisher near the end of season 1. Possibly finished them and got them published?

I don't like that explanation about Sylar. If he had the power all along then how is Peter absorbing his powers make any sense whatsoever? The writers all hate their jobs and are trying to get fired IMO.

Also Mr. Petrilli wasn't taking Hiro's power, he was altering his memory and the painting distracted him and then Ando interrupted him before he could finish. This resulted in 10yr old Hiro. He can easily be fixed by Claire's blood or Parkman (maybe the Haiti?)

Big difference between having the power and knowing how to use it. You can't control what you don't know how to control. Somewhere along the way, Sylar had to learn how to control it, as he had when Peter visited him in the future. Peter hadn't learned how to control it, as his was taken away before Sylar learned how to control it.

If the Haitian came in, yes, that would fix it temporarily. But when he leaves, the problem would return. Also keep in mind that the Haitian also has the power to wipe minds clean, so he could do more harm than good.

Claire would heal the body, not the mind. There isn't anything physically wrong with Hiro.

Parkman... That's a chance.. but Angela has a better chance.

Linderman fixed Angela's mind/brain with his healing powers and mentioned her brain was scarred every time Mr. Petrelli messed with her memories.

Perhaps, Claire's healing blood will have a restorative effect in removing the scars and returning Hiro's memories.

Surely Parkman or Angela would of been a better guess, they got the mental strenghts...Claires got the physical strenght...unless she can suddenly heal minds with her blood now aswell, which wouldn't be a surprise as her charecter isn't really going anywhere

Forgot in season 2 when Peter healed his Haitian memory loss? He was told how to do by Adam Monroe - who has the same powers as Claire - whose blood heals. So I can see it being able to heal the memory.

And I'm assuming the Haitian can restore memories that were taken (hence the question mark)

Angela can only see the future in dreams - she can't go inside someone's head and fix things. Parkman has done this.

Actually Elle's powers started malfunctioning after the people escaped from level 5, she went to Claire's house to find out if Noah knew anything about how to help her.

How odd that (IMO, of course) the show should get better when they lose their powers.

So we've had quite a few eclipses over the years but its only now they realise that they bring and take powers?

Also will there be a double episode next week?

Have to admit.. the last two week's episodes were great. Also, you start to feel the tension between close people, that wasn't really there the first two seasons. It will be interesting to see how that plays out..

Oh.. I'll have to check it tonight (Tivo'd it), but it looks like Maya may be returning.. Wasn't Mohinder looking at her bio?

So we've had quite a few eclipses over the years but its only now they realise that they bring and take powers?

Good point.. Plus retrospectively, you would think that it would have happened before, especially with Hiro. Didn't he use his powers during an eclipse with Kensei/Adam?

Also will there be a double episode next week?

Don't know.. And I don't know about you, but nothing says Eclipses, corn throwing, holding your wee, and "this is totally awesome!" comics than Seth Green. :D

BL.

Hah! So that was Seth Green? Bit of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment there, I half blinked and half missed it!

Oh yeah, that was him. He had a line or two in it as well, and it definitely was his voice. But you knew they'd have to have some sort of response to his spoofing Heroes on Robot Chicken. :)

BL.

Okay, so wait a second. The explanation for the powers is just a rehashing of the X-Men, right? They're just "evolved". So why the hell would an eclipse take their powers away…?

Ten year old Hiro owned everyone. That was beautiful.

Notice that Hiro without his memories and Peter without his powers actually seem SMARTER?

Now we're getting somewhere! Still it's a shame that they got their powers back so soon, I really liked them without powers.

Urgh for the neck cutting scene though. Spooks had a similar scene last night but showed a whole lot more. Needless to say I'll be wearing a scarf from now on :D

Why didn't Elle fight back? She fended off Sylar once before, but she didn't even try this time.

I thought the Comic shop was great. Dude your freakin me out!

At least we know that Isaac did the last of the comics (he's been dead a long time). Now they need to go find the bike messanger.

Interesting that Hiro and Claire were in the same place. Did anyone catch who her real father was? Was that Mr. Petrelli who handed the baby over?

I think Elle was at the end of her rope. It seemed like she depended on Sylar for some kind of redemption, and when she didn't get it, she just gave up.

And It was Hiro's Dad who handed over baby Claire.

I've already found him.

You lucky lucky people.
Mega props to whoever gets that reference
