Press Release pushed through new iTunes feature?

If Itunes goes online.

Would be interesting if Steve is in NC for the opening data center ceremony and pushes the press conference/release through iTunes servers.

Presumably it will be some way to stream the music you have purchased on iTunes from any other computer with iTunes or i-Device

Hey Apple, offering a paid subscription service is neither exciting or going to change my life one iota.

If you don't offer wireless synch or the ability to stream my library to my phone anywhere, I don't care.

Shazam has links for many songs that aren't for sale in iTunes. It means nothing. What the hell is the deal with the beatles library coming to iTunes? Like others have said, fans most likely have already CDs and imported them to iTunes. They aren't going to buying them again.
When a major artist comes to iTunes, they get more sales. Even if an artist has been around for a long time, it doesn't mean that there aren't people who will still buy songs.

Note that the week after Michael Jackson's death, the top ten songs and top ten albums at iTunes were all Michael Jackson. Every single one.

Clearly, there is a marketplace for legacy artists and classic hits at the iTunes Store.

Live streaming like Netflix.

This is the DAY when Apple finally activate all iPods ipads iPhones and all other ithings and we all become SURROGATES:eek:
HAIL BIG APPLE!!!
:D

Sure, but Beatles coming to iTMS would hardly be something a lot of people would NEVER forget. I wouldn't care at all, and many with me.

Sure enough... still leaves a lot of questions though.

Any sort of streaming service would need to be accompanied by either an iOS update or a separate app capable of logging into your iTunes cloud. I would think they would opt for doing this as an iOS update so they could integrate it into the iPod app itself and there hasn't been any evidence of this.

The speculation that they are bringing The Beatles collection to iTunes is probably the most realistic.

I say no to the announcement being about The Beatles.

Apple Germany also updated the site and they even localized it, so there are no more references to Beatles/Paul McCartney in it.

cmw3

Same in France. No Beatles references.

Who cares about the beatles?

It will Be ac/dc! And Streaming! And Apple will announce to Open a Store on Mars. And ATV apps. And mobile me Revolution.:)

No Streaming will Be Most likely, Facebook And Ping is a sideshow only.

The fact that Soundhound now has links to I tunes for Beatles songs, and "just another day" is a McCartney song screams BEATLES!!!

Ah, now that sounds better than what I was going to suggest, and seeing that tomorrow is Tuesday (traditionally new release day) I think I'll agree, Beatles LPs being streamed live from Paul McCartney's garage.

It has links to the old Capitol Label's US only LP's of the Beatles, not the entire Catalog...

It's really quite simple. Look at the Apple home page - four clocks, four members of the Beatles. The whole "streaming iTunes" thing is a red herring.

You heard it here first. :apple:

I dont quite get the drift. Red Herring? ...stinks?

we here just never heard of the expression around any of our igloos. ;)

And the Beatles tracks will be iTunes "Gold" weighing in at only $1.99 a track!

I said it first here.

no one cares.

Thank you!

This is what kills me; People try to say that no one will care just because they don't. Clearly, all the Michael Jackson haters didn't keep him from being at the top of every list he was on.

Just because you hate the Beatles, or anything, doesn't mean everyone feels the same way. Some care, some don't. People need to realize this.

The Beatles may not be coming to iTunes tomorrow, but that doesn't mean no one cares.

[/vent]

Now, if iTunes is going to be streaming something, what is it they're going to be streaming? Local audio / video services? That poorly constructed internet radio, where on the Green Day channel, only the first 3 songs are Green Day? Local radio stations all in once place (finally)? Our own custom Playlists pushed to our iDevices?
