iTube anyone? :)

I dont quite get the drift. Red Herring? ...stinks?

we here just never heard of the expression around any of our igloos. ;)

A red herring is a false suspect or clue in a mystery novel designed to trick the reader.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, little Jimmy forgot to feed Mikey the cow.....
Gawd, I just love days like this!

Doesn't iTunes already have 'streaming' in the form of the 'Radio' stream selections?

if it's just streaming of your iTMS purchases, who cares? Most people don't buy all their music from the iTMS. That would put it on par with something like Rdio, which is still 10 steps behind lala.com.

which makes it super-likely.

Apple's "next big thing" can't compare with the product of a tiny little start-up (lala), so they buy the start-up and kill it off, then talk about how amazing their inferior product is. I feel like I've heard this story before...oh yeah. It was called Microsoft in the 1990s.

Mark me down as another one who doesn't think it is the Beatles... BUT the conspiracy theorist in me does think that the hands on the four clocks kind of resemble the cover of Help!

;)

iTunes already supports live streaming of podcasts on ios devices. Bring up a podcast, instead of clicking on FREE, just click the title. It will play back as it arrives.

Apple has been acquired by Kabletown GE Sheinhardt NBC Universal. Tracy Jordan will be the new spokesmen for all iOS products, including the latest device: iPlug, a handheld device that does nothing but stream product placement scenes from NBC soap operas.

Ha! I was thinking about how to incorporate something about BWL..came up blank.

In any case that seems pretty neat, have my fingers crossed.

Also how exactly does one find that? (I don't know anything about code and so-on so that may seem like a dumb question to you guys),but it just seems like that would be a whole lot to look through line by line!

When a major artist comes to iTunes, they get more sales. Even if an artist has been around for a long time, it doesn't mean that there aren't people who will still buy songs.

Note that the week after Michael Jackson's death, the top ten songs and top ten albums at iTunes were all Michael Jackson. Every single one.

Clearly, there is a marketplace for legacy artists and classic hits at the iTunes Store.

Yes, but that surge is because of the huge media coverage, it's not like any of the members of the Beatles have died recently. Although I suppose it would be something to remember if Apple were to announce availability of the Beatles on iTunes, then proceed to kill Paul and Ringo on stage. :p

My guess:

iOS 4.2 will see it's official release, along with iOS 4.2 for apple tv- with support for apple TV appstore? As well as cloud support.

I think its going to be way of streaming your own iTunes library to any iOS device or another Mac anywhere in the world.

I would love to know how people find these things buried in text files and suchlike. Are they just paid to do it or are they just obsessed or really determined? :p

Tomorrow is the 32 year anniversary of the day that Sgt. Peppers movie was released. Ooooh.

If Apple announced the ability to bring in an HD "Live Stream" of ESPN, for a small fee, I would cancel cable.

well itls:// is the url people can use to direct an audio stream to PLAY in iTunes. Such as a live podcast. I wouldn't get my hopes up just on that. I can have a link on my site such as itls://ctthosting.com/audio/streams/demo.m3u8 and it would send that stream to iTunes and not the browser or Quicktime. I tied this and thats how it works. You can try it by downloading Nicecast and open the url using itls:// not http://

This should be in iTunes 9 also.
