Well one things for sure, the writers always leave me wanting more House!

What a twist!

Not a complete surprise for me, but still didn't think it would end like this. And the wedding got planned rather quickly.

If House is cured will he be the same genius or just mortal.

House will never be cured, at most it will just be the hallucinations that go away. He's miserable and will continue to be until he finally gets what he wants, if he can bring himself to accept it.

We all know House is nuts, the vicodin has made it worse and now clouded his judgement. We know next years story line will revolve around his sanity and how that plays into the way he solves cases.

Which I look forward to completely.

My guess, hes gonna have to decide between happiness or his cases.

I can see Cutty and House hooking up for real this time. Next year will have a lot of romantic undertones and how that plays into solving cases.

to be honest i didnt see the House Cuddy thing being a Hallucination. but now that i think back to it i thought it was a little weird that Cuddy was willing to go be with him after what he said about her child. cant believe that i missed that. i guess i just wanted them to get together that it blinded me.

overall i liked it. the ending could have been a bit more dramatic some how i mean House is going to a mental hospital. but it was ok how they did it.

Do you guys thinks that when the season starts we will see any of House in the mental hospital? Or will we start with him fully "healed" back at the hospital?

PS - I loved that Carl Reiner was in the show. It's sad that he has pancreatic cancer but he was great.

I'd like to see some of what happens in the mental hospital; I think the curing process could bring about some cool stories.

Hooookay, just watched "Both Sides Now" after the ep downloaded from iTunes (vouchers came in :D)

Tell me that wasn't the finale? Please!!

Really enjoyed the twist between House and Cuddy.. but.. it wasn't as spectacular as I thought it would be for an end of season ep.

Also, the wedding? We could have had 5 minutes centred around it, rather than a combined period of like 1 minute.

Really enjoyed Cameron breaking down and Chase comforting her - its the most depth they've given these characters in a very long while.

I'd like to see Cameron becoming more active within the team now Kutner has gone.

Also, I'd love Season 6 to pick-up where 5 left off, or maybe a few weeks later, which I imagine it will.

Overall, I love the way they left this season.

Now as they focus more on House and his state of mind, it will bring a more interesting perspective to the whole series.

I was sick, allergies ftl, but was the scene with Cuddy and House (was that a hallucination)?

The last few minutes was unclear to me due to my coughing, sneezing, and my head throbbing...

it's over :'( great season tho... very sudden turn of events with house a couple episodes back. it kinda was expected though with him being so reckless

This has been probably the best season yet.

One thing they've been hinting at for over a year now is House questioning his faith, or maybe it's more accurate to say his reliance on rationalism. It'll be interesting to see if they pick up on that and how the hospital affects that.

I'll bet the season opens with him back at Princeton-Plainsboro and we get so they keep the mental hospital a mystery.

(BTW, was this the rehab facility they mentioned a week or two ago?)

Easily the best show on TV.

A friend and I got to talking about how we think next season will go. Pretty sure we narrowed it down to this:

House will still be admitted and dealing with his issues. The team will try to move on without him and solve a couple cases, not solve a case but toss it up to a no win situation, and then finally get a case they can't solve but know House can. This leading to major issues with House unable to practice, House not being sure of himself, and the team unable to solve the case. House gets better and returns to work, but has troubles with trusting himself and struggles with relapse.

As for the end of this season, I feel the wedding should have been put off to give it some more time to itself. We could have had a quick scene of the planning at the end now and a full episode/arc about the wedding getting in the way of Chase and Cameron's careers.

I dare say that will. But still Wow what a twist. When i first saw house and wilson driving toward that building i thought it was a drug rehab. But went i saw that it was a mental hospital i was like OMG.

i suspect too that 13 might come into play next season with her Cancer problems, it might develop there

i do hope that we see House in the mental hospital. creator2456 i think has a good theory about how it will go. the only thing that makes me kind of believe that it might not go that way is the history of the show. all the season premieres have started with a lot of time off in from where the finale left off. but again i like the idea of some episodes in the mental hospital.

House season 6 is expected to start in Sept '09. cant wait.

I'm kind of skimming past the posts about season 6 as I am taking a break from watching current episodes as I work my way through from the beginning. Although seeing house goes to a mental hospital is not a big deal, as I've already seen a main character commit suicide this season whose introduction I have not yet seen going back from the beginning. I'm not too worried about having surprises spoiled. I am kind of worried about getting caught up to speed because it is such a pleasure watching a couple episodes a day, a complete indulgence.

It's funny that I started watching this because of the medical mysteries but they are starting to annoy me. Like with the cold opens I feel like "yeah yeah just have a stroke or whatever" I want to see what happens with the relationships. And I was never into shows like that about relationships. I think I like that they are all intelligent but also socially awkward. The idea that people like house and cuddy could date gives me hope. It also makes me wish I had people to talk to like the people talk in the show. They connect without any (or much) sentimentality. It's very Schaupenhauer-esque. I am at the point now where Cameron has rejected Chase wanting to turn their sexual romps into a relationship. (I've seen enough of the current season to know they are now engaged, and googled enough to see they had a real life engagement that fell apart.)It was unexpected that Chase would want a relationship as he kind of seems like an a*shole who would rather be unentangled. Anyhow, I'm enjoying it...just wish I could cut out some of the medical stuff and fast forward the relationships a bit to see them develop faster. What will I do once I catch up and can only watch it once a week?!

We will probably see him in the mental hospital, but we'll probably see him back at the hospital somewhat back to "normal" in the first ep in season 6 and then see bits and pieces of it in flashbacks.

I find this latest "twist" as insulting to viewers intelligence as any movie made by M. Night Shyamalan. Not only does it go against House's character, but to retcon the events of an episode as a hallucination? What is this, Dallas?
