borrowing money... for a tech widget toy... that seriously shouldn't even be an option.

Yeah!
And nobody should be able to finance phones either...

All you plebeians that don't have the money saved already need not apply.

/sarcasm

I have a Apple Gift Card, Birthday money, and i sold a bunch of old junk I've had laying around the house forever and made a few hundred dollars.

Watch + bands + Applecare will be paid for and none of it is coming out of pocket.

tax refund just got papers from accountant, getting a whopping 5k check or wire in my account, excatly 4800ish change.

So you lent the IRS 5k for a year? :) Seriously if you have an accountant, they should guide you to reduce your refund to nearly 0.

We had a 19,200 refund last year. We bought 3 plug-in hybrids, though. ;)

We usually have to pay a little. Don't like lending our money to the US govt.

Should have a refund this year (bought another plug-in).

Disposable income from my March pay packet.

I got an unexpected bonus this month. I was already buying the Apple Watch, but now I can mentally write it off. LOL.

I'll probably use my credit card, then pay it off the next month with my statement.

I have to pay $400 in taxes in April, so I'd rather delay the Apple Watch for a month :)

Ugh that kills me. I did our taxes last night and we owed a few thousand but during the taxes, I saw the hybrid tax credit and I was like 'noooo, I need one!' :) I'm usually comfortable having to owe because I expect it but I love tax credits (don't we all)

Yes indeed. A tax credit is a beautiful thing!

Coincidentally I've got a bonus coming in April. I'm still waiting for some sales numbers too add up (and be allocated either to current period or next) so I don't even know what the bonus will be yet. But it will influence my Apple Watch purchase one way or another. Big numbers, then buying the SS with Link becomes much easier. Small numbers or any surprising bad news (e.g., boss decides to stiff me), then Space Grey Sport starts to look more prudent.

I'm not going to pre-order as I want to see them in person and have an assortment of reviews to consider, so for me this is a late April or early May decision. The bonus will be sorted by then.

I'm using a credit card. Buyer protection and cash back. Yes, yes.

I do have the money set aside already, though.

I have a 2600$ Apple gift card burning a hole in my pocket! (Well 2 actually since the max per card is 2000$)

Might pick up the new MacBook too but probably not...

Burning a hole you say? I'll help you with that, hand it over!

That all depends on the situation. It's about what I'm getting back myself, but in my case I unexpectedly lost my job halfway through the year after paying taxes based on my full annual salary (so way overpaid taxes), then started my own company that failed (so had losses and extra deductible expenses). So my really nice tax return is getting me a Space Black SS watch (and paying off a few debts incurred from my time with no income).

I will just pick up 2 days of overtime next month and that will cover the majority of the Space Black 42mm, probably charge the remaining amount and pay it off in May.
