I use it constantly. One benefit (for me anyways) is I don't even have to be looking at my screen to unlock... I can't say that for previous iPhones with passcode enabled.

I do, works great and fast, I did the setup a little different in relation on how to hold each finger, I just kept circling the button basically for each of the fingers. Unlocks fast if I grab it from the top as from the bottom, sides, etc.

Didn't need to do that. Mine recognizes no matter the angle despite being straight up and down when I scanned it in. It's a apart cookie!

It makes me cringe to imagine an iPhone out there without a lock. The possibilities of what could happen if someone got hold of an iPhone which was logged into a person's iCloud account and accounts of many of their third party apps. The risk of all that far outweighs the inconvenience of entering a PIN or now just placing your finger on the home button.

FP scanner is awesome. I can't see why anyone wouldn't use it. It makes ur phone so much more secure, it works almost flawlessly, and is super covienent. I love it.

Actually I use the fingerprint sensor all the time now.

It's very easy to use and it really has learned my chosen finger(s) well.

You don't need to physically wake the iPhone 5S first; just press the home button with your designated finger just long enough for it to automatically wake up & unlock your iPhone. If you press it for just too long, Siri wakes up.

I think fingerprint sensing is going to catch on like wildfire from here on out.

If, that is, other manufacturers implement it as well as Apple has.

I'm using it and its very convenient.

As others have said I can now also set a much longer passcode as I wont have to bother using it very often

I really like it.

The one drawback is, it wasn't working reliably for me until I used up another fingerprint slot to program more of the finger I use. I had tried re-registering my finger about a dozen times, but the only thing that worked for me was using up another slot.

I had never locked my phone before because passcodes were clunky and most of my data is secured through passwords on individual apps. But this made it so easy it's a no-brainer.

I use it and think its great. Amazing how well it works.

Now I NEVER used a pass code before as I felt it was way to inconvenient. So pausing a second to scan my finger is a new step but its worth it for the added security.

Where Touch ID is GREAT is when you buy an app or song and its just touch, done. No typing a password!! :D

I was amused by it for about five minutes. Then I turned it off. Too bad though, you can't enable partial activation - don't use it for the phone access, but allow finger scanning for iTunes store purchase confirmations and alike.

It's the reason why I bought it.

I don't know why you WOULDN'T want to use it. I hate entering passwords and hope this gets more support soon.

I have a 5 already. I'm getting the 5s mainly for the camera, slow mo, and to finally get 32GB. =).

The real question is, why would you ever buy a new phone just for the finger print scanner?

I didn't but buy it for that but I also wouldn't refuse to use a great piece of technology that is included that protects my personal information. I've never really been a lockscreen & password guy but's literally easier than sliding to unlock the device.

I never used a lock code on any of my previous iPhones and I've had them all except the 2g. It was too much of a hassle. To be honest, when I bought the 5s, I thought it would be a gimmick that I would use for a couple of days and then turn it off. I'm actually loving it. It's very fast, 99% accurate for me and it's nice knowing my phone is protected. It just makes the phone feel more personal.

I actually had to swipe to unlock for the first time in a few days when I had to transfer something from my old 5 to my 5S. I felt like a dirty peasant.

Used a pass code lock on the 5, and enjoying the convenience of the fingerprint scan on the 5S.

Ok. Your first question didn't make any sense. But oh well. Enjoy your phone.

You don't even have to hold it down. Just press it once to wake it up and leave your finger there. No risk of initiating Siri and it's just as fast! :)

I didn't think is use it bc I didn't use a security code before. But I am now and find it very fast and convenient. And now I have a nice layer of protection.

If I didn't use it, I'd get a 5C. The scanner was one of the top reasons I bought the 5S; to save myself time over the course of owning the locked phone.

Nicel; will erase a finger and do it 'properly' and see which one works best for me
