One thing I don't like is when you get a notification you have to swipe it and then put your finger on the home button

At first, I was skeptical but after a couple days of getting used to it... I LIKE IT A LOT!

I grab my iPad now and forget that I need to put a passcode in!

I never used a passcode lock before because it was too time consuming to type it in 100 times a day. However this Touch ID seems so convenient, I will absolutely doing it. Apple has convinced me to protect my device. I mean to each their own, but I can't really think of one good reason not to enable it. From the videos I've seen, it's just as fast if not faster than using slide to unlock, and you have the added benefit of extra security. Seems like a no brainer to me

I love it so far. Accurate and fast. Learns prints better over time too, so my right thumb unlocks almost instantly now in most any position..others take a little bit longer (but I'm sure they'll speed up too. )

i started using it consistently now and it really is easy. and now that having my phone secure is not cumbersome like before why wouldn't you use it.

As hard as this may seem to believe, it is the number one reason I switched back to the iPhone from my Galaxy S4. There are many other reasons of course but I click and I get right to the home screen and I know that I have full protection in the event it is lost or stolen.

I use the Fingerprint scanner quite often. Just need to get use to not sliding my screen though! LOL

Also, wanted to share this.
He's got a great idea on the Touch ID thing for the lockscreen.

what do you guys think? around the :30 second mark. I think that would be a pretty good idea for a jailbreak tweak or iOS Update.

In settings > general > pass code and fingerprint > require pass code

Only immediately is available on my phone as the only option. Is this everyone. Really annoying.

I will absolutely be using it as soon as my 5S arrives! The whole reason I decided to upgrade from my 5. If it weren't for that, I'd still be enjoying my 5 until next years big redesign.

After first trying it a few times I wasn't too sure about using it. Now after one day of use, it's much faster than entering a passcode or swiping.

I use it as much as I unlock my phone, aka every time.

The beauty is if you wake the phone with the home button you basically unlock/wake instantaneously. Sometimes I forget I even have a passcode there to begin with.

Yeah, that's the way it works if you've got the TouchID enabled.

I started using it when I got it but not anymore. I work on cars a lot and tend to get minor scrapes and on the second day I got the slightest scrape on my thump and it no longer works on that finger. The next day the same happened on the other thumb. I get too many slight scratches for it to be reliable for me.

It's great. Keep grabbing my iPad Mini and my HTC One and wish I had the same on those!

This is my first iPhone since the 4 and I'm glad to be back. :)

I just got mine and set it up! Loving the fingerprint scanner so far, it's so easy and really accurate already! I never used a pass code before because of the inconvience but I will now! :D

Yeah, this is not great. I always turn my screen off whenever I'm not using it in order to save battery. Now I have to unlock it every time I pick it up, and because I'm having severe problems with TouchID it's really irritating. But even if TouchID had a 100% accuracy rate, it feels more natural to swipe open the phone rather than place a finger on the home button. It interrupts the train of thought, it's a cognitive distraction.

I actually love the feature, but does not seem to work for me but every 3 out of 10 times. It has gradually gotten worse as i keep trying to use it. Kind of a pain when you keep trying and end up having to use the passcode instead!

I use it and love it! I have never ever used a pass code on any of my iDevices because of the inconvenience, but I love this and it is very fast a fluid.

To people that are having issues with it reading every time. I read another guy say he registered the finger he uses more than once focusing on a different side of his finger for each registration and then his started working every single time.
