That’s pretty cool, but personally, i would use an iPad Pro for everything you just described.

An iPhone would be to small, even a 6.4 inch model.

Two apps at 3.2 inch each that’s like going back to a blackberry torch display, no thank you.

Trigonometry isn't one of you strong points, is it? Ha ha ha :)

LOOOL, constantly playing catch up. "Just wait for the next update, just wait for the next iPhone..." That's all I hear. What's the point of talking beta? iOS is constantly in beta fixing one issue after the next. Constantly needing updates to fix what the last update broke. The phone is littered with bugs. It's a complete joke. $1000 for inferior hardware and unstable software that needs constant updates, only to have the updates eventually crap out your phone. Oh but that obtrusive notch, now there's the winning feature. Yup!! Nothing says premium like a unibrow getting in the way of your 5.3, oops, I mean 5.8 inch display.

Watch the video.
You don’t have to wait for anything, the note 9 is a stuttering mess.

Plus a really nasty glare on the note 9s curved display.

Still prefer the notch to forehead and chin, btw Samsung increased thier bezels on the note 9.

Enjoy your note 9.

To say that a note is a computer and an iPhone isn’t because of a “file explorer” is just silly.

There's nothing wrong with dumb phones. For example, if I have to support it I tend to recommend iPhones to those that can't figure out basic things on their own or don't need the extra functionality. Most don't need a pocket computer with pen input and are perfectly fine with an iPod with calling capability.

Spoilers -iPhone X+ 2018 will have:

- Much more powerful SoC
- Smaller form factor
- Better biometrics
- Better speakers
- Better battery life
- Equal or better camera

Posting the same video from an Apple biased channel over and over spreading fud won't help you get over the bug laden software you all an OS. lol. Honestly, take this advice, and thank me later: Don't get bitter, get better.

I’m confused have you seen the video?

Doesn’t make much sense.
The video you posted was ios 12 beta 2, so what’s the problem?
Why is iOS 12 beta 2 ok, while iOS 12 beta 8 is fud?

iPhone x on iOS 12 beta 8 vs a note 9 cant be called fud just because you don’t like the results. the phone x is faster overall. The note 9 was only slower by about 30 seconds or about half minute. That’s not so bad.

You sound bitter, just enjoy your note 9.

Hardly can wait as well, but the iPhone X’s dual speakers aren’t a slouch either.

I have a files app where I can store documents, images, etc.

I can even swipe to the left of home screen and search for anything I need to find in files, emails, pictures, etc.

That poster Probably never used an iPhone, you can also store files locally on the device within the files app.

I don't blame you for being a state of confusion. It's the non-stop waiting for the next beta. One sec you're at beta 1, the next you're at beta 5, 10, and so on. Who wouldn't be confused with all those bugs and fixes to keep up with. But hang in there, I say, one day Apple may offer hardware worthy of the $1000 price tag. But don't hold your breath though, as I want you to still be alive when it happens. lol.

8 > 2, it’s not rocket science

You posted a video with an iPhone X on iOS 12 beta 2, but called a video with an iPhone X on iOS 12 beta 8 fud.

The 2017 iPhone X the latest beta is clearly faster than the note 9.

Wouldn’t that make the note 9 unworthy as you put it. Because it’s clearly not worth 1200 dollars if it buggy, like the video shows.

How do you figure the iPhone X is not a ‘computer’, but the Galaxy Note 9 is? They both have similar capabilities with the exception of the S Pen. The way I see it, the iPhone X supersedes the Note with Face ID with 3-D facial mapping, longer iOS support over Android and stringent security methods. Those are likely features more favored to the consumer.
Get back to me when you can download anything you want from the web and Install it on iOS... you know.. like you can do on a computer...

I don’t think you understood the context of my post, because the individual I quoted, stated the iPhone is not a computer, when in fact, it is when they accomplish the same task(s). In retort to your post, Can you provide any literal examples of why somebody would want to download anything from the ‘web’ to iOS?

Epic games are bypassing the 30% cut on the play store and letting you download an apk from their site.. for the millions of kids who love fortnite.. is this a.valid reason.. showbox, the movie app isn't on the play store. Download the apk, Install, hey presto.. movies on demand.. but then I suppose you become used to Apple telling you what you can watch/use/play instead of making you own mind up....

I've got loads of pics and videos on my desktop that I want to copy onto my phone, I'll just plug my iPhone in and mount the hard drive, you know, like a proper computer. Drag and drop later and I'm done.. erm... face it, iPhone launches apps, why do you think the Interface is a grid of apps.. the end..

So...gaming and movie Apps. Got it. I was thinking more in terms of productivity, but you’re examples are not exactly practical.

Sideloading is how you get malware on your phone. Of course you know people won’t bother going to Epic’s website because they don’t want to pay. They will just search fortnite Apk and download it onto their phones. I’d rather get my stuff from the play store. Showbox - I like to pay for my movies and TV shows.

I don’t need my phone to replicate my computer. I need it to do my everyday tasks and do them quickly and efficiently. That’s what the iPhone does. That’s what all smartphones do.

I went to the cinema almost 50 times last year, yep practically every week. No one pays more for movies than me.. but if I've missed a flick, I have no issues watching it on showbox, I think I give enough cash to the film Industy... anyways, this isn't about morality, it's about why iOS doesnt act like any other "computer" in the known universe.. it launches apps, that's it. The ability to access, see and manipulate files from the hard drive is quite important. If iOS was a car, it would be on a freeway with no exits, it can go nice and fast, but only in a straight line, as Apple designed the road. Android is an off roader, it can go wherever the hell it wants.... and have fun getting there..

It has a files app. I can download files to my iPhone. I can access files stored on my iPad or MacBook. I can move files around, I can rename files. It’s not the same as a traditional computer but it’s good enough.

Lol that’s cute...I’m sure “poco” or whatever really has Apple shaking in their boots. Until the “poco” runs iOS it’s irelevant. Also, for a quarter of the price you get a quarter of the quality. You admit that they have inferior screens, but the screen is the entire phone, why would I want a modern smartphone with a crap screen? And as for your Ferrari and Ford reference, sure they both get you where you need to go, but the Ferrari is a luxurious car that will lead to an all around better driving experience, and those with enough money who can afford them will buy them. There are plenty of budget Androids already on the market, they aren’t a threat because they’re garbage.

LOL. Your condescending tone is cute. As is your naïveté. I was going to attempt a counter argument. But that requires a balanced viewpoint from yourself. So let’s leave it there. LOL.

So pirated movie and games. Yeah don’t do that on my computers or on an iPhone.

I buy my movies and tvshows on iTunes.
Don’t really play games on my iPhone or my computer either.

So if you think you can pirate movies and tvshows because you go to the cinema once a week.

That doesn’t justify stealing.

But he just proved the year old iPhone spanked the new note 9.

And you say iPhones have inferior hardware?
What do you call your note 9 then??
Last years S9 with a stylus!!

That’s Samsung innovation!!! Wtg!!!!

I laugh at how much Apple are in the heads of the Samsung loyalists. They patrol these forums and boards more than Apple fans. Just like how Apple is in Samsung’s head with their lame diss commercials.

As an electrician and business owner who works with other small businesses and restaurant owners I've used the Note series for years as a communication tool. We will be talking about their project and I can easily take a picture of the area I'm going to be working on and then use the S pen to draw directly over it and send it to them. Even if the iPhone X Plus has Apple pen support, it's not going to be as convenient unless it's somehow also inside the body of the phone.

Another thing I don't know if Apple phones can do, but that I use all the time is the ability to have two apps open in split screen simultaneously. Having that ability w/ an S pen practically means I don't need a lap top in the field to do invoicing or price comparisons when I'm building purchase orders.

And a few other minor, but I would say are really useful features for me are the fact that the edge display which I can swipe open from the side at any time is both an app dock and a quick contact link to my wife or rep at my supply house. And when I get some down time I can watch something at the same time as I browse the web with PIP...

I have nothing against the iPhone X and I'm going to advise my wife to get it, but I haven't seen where it even comes close to doing all the things I look for in a phone.
First, let me thank you for NOT being like the other Samsung loyalists here who all they do is bash Apple.

I’m glad the Note works for your business
And productivity. I can see why these features keep you loyal to their brand. I would add that an iPad can do the split screen and has the pencil support, but that’s a lot bigger than a smartphone.
