See this thread, created on Friday:Does anyone know when the IRS online portal will be up to enter banking info for those that pay by paper checks ???
Thanks, but that link is for non filers.See this thread, created on Friday:
It links to the "non-filers" page, but the navigation "bread-crumb" sequence at the top of the IRS page has this parent link:![]()
irs just launched coronavirus stimulus web tool

I'm a filer - I file every year but I pay every year so I use a paper check.
I heard that the IRS has a portal to enter banking info to speed up the stimulus check...
Even with having half decent savings, we will still save it until this is over. Will try to buy from the smaller businesses since they don't have the capital to weather this like the evil corps.
Ah, this is what I was asking about. The first link is for non-filters. The second link ("Economic Impact Payments") has a box on the right:
"Filers: Get Your Payment"
In that box is a placeholder button "Get My Payment (coming mid-April)". It's not a live button as I type this, but "mid-April" is Wednesday, so there's still time.
I suspect that the 2nd link will be worth monitoring. If the IRS has a different portal page, then I would bet they'll announce it on their News Releases page, which has a link at the left side of the "Economic Impact Payments" page.
When I think of the word ‘stimulus’, it really is intended to be spent or reinvested into your local economy to help boost businesses during a financial decline
And I'm already doing this. By not having to fill my gas tank 2x a month ($40 per fill-up) AND by not having to pay my gym dues, I'm going out to eat a couple extra times and focusing on locally-owned establishments rather than chain locations. My $100/month isn't much, but it's SOMETHING.
1. If they deliver, we have to be able to add the deliveryperson's tip to the online order. We're not going use services that require "manual" tipping in person.
Props to you. If everybody shared your mindset on how you’re dividing your finances rationally in your community based off your Expenses, it would make a huge impact.
Have never seen #2We trying to patronize a small local restaurant each week. We have two requirements:
1. If they deliver, we have to be able to add the deliveryperson's tip to the online order. We're not going use services that require "manual" tipping in person.2. If they use pick-up, they need a pick-up area where it's easy to maintain distances, and if you pay during pick-up then they must accept contactless payment, i.e., Apple Pay.
Love GrubHub for contactless but I wish they could/would read the extra instructions. "Lot closest to light at ABC Ave on same side as shopping center. Building at back of lot. First Floor." There's no other lot that matches those criteria, but almost every time on the screen, they are going into every other lot, and then they finally call. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!! Why even let me enter them?!?!Totally agree with this but maybe for a different reason - I don't have small currency for tipping. You're probably aware but GrubHub allows for for tipping in advance, and allows for contactless delivery but in my area the local establishments available are limited. I chose that option on Friday but had to ask the person to put the delivery in a different spot than my porch because it was so windy, still maintaining a distance.
Thanks. I know my parents are doing the same, my brother is, and I think my sister is as well (though she actually has to go to work still). I also posted my plan to Facebook (partially in an effort to find places) and I think several others are doing it.

It's usually ok for the time for us except for the fact they can almost never find it and have to call. The crazy one here is that every Chinese is closed except for this one Asian Bistro, so their time is always ridiculous.I kind of wish the estimated delivery time was better. My order was estimated at 60-70 minutes and finally arrived 90+ minutes after ordering. I realize it's an estimate, but I ordered at 4:30, it shouldn't take until after 6 to get food!!
The IRS site just got updated:The first link is for non-filters. The second link ("Economic Impact Payments") has a box on the right:

i am going on a cruse ship of course
Just a coincidence, but it's worth noting that it arrived on the day that U.S. tax returns are normally due. When I checked my email this morning, there was one from my bank announcing that a direct deposit had been made by the US Treasury......bingo! The Stimulus Payment has arrived. Nice to have, even though I have no immediate plans for spending it.
