Been using my new Samsung a9 iPhone 6s Plus 128GB replacement since 11 last night. Battery is the same as my previous TSMC iPhone 6s Plus.
I set the phone up as new. I tried restoring from a backup made with the TSMC I had and the replacement phone would get stuck on the Apple logo upon completion until I hard reset. Tried it 4 times. I think something is wonky when backing up from a TSMC device to a Samsung and vice versa. Just my two cents.I'm on my fourth 6S+ for various faults. The first was a Samsung running 9.0 and the battery life was phenomenal. I got 12-13 hours from it with my typical usage pattern.
The next was a TSMC running 9.0.1 and again it had superb battery life. I obtained 11.5-12.5 hours from it with my typical usage pattern.
The next one was a Samsung, again running 9.0.1 and the battery life was lousy in comparison. I got 9-10 hours from it.
Now onto my fourth, another Samsung. Battery life was very good at first and I was getting 11-12 hours from it. Then I updated to 9.1 and have been lucky to scrape 10 hours with my typical usage pattern. I've done a couple of DFU restores and I haven't installed a backup, but the battery is poor when compared to the earlier 6S+ and my old 6+.

Something is wrong with your 6s+ if your 6s has the same battery life.My 6s+ samsung doesnt reach 9.5 hours of usage. Wish its longer though. I had 6s before but exchange is twice because of screen defect. I got 2 samsung and 1 tsmc. Unbelievably, my 6s tsmc battery is almost the same as my 6s+ samsung.
My 6s+ has yellow tint on top but im just tired of exchanging it. I just wish the battery will last even a little longer than 9 hours for a 2750mhz battery.

I know something isn't right. No way a 6s can have the same battery life as a 6s+ if both used the same. The battery in the 6s is a lot smaller than the one found in the 6s+. Here's a video from comparison,You think so? I dont know if i should exchange it but they might say the battery is okay. I am thinking of restoring it as a new phone and install everything again.

Stop it.... basically inferring that there is a chip gate AND battery gate. I've had both a9 chips. Both perform the same from what I've seen. Used the TSMC for over a month and my new Samsung a9 performs the same after not even 12 hours of usage.Perhaps you just have a very good 6S. A 6S with a TSMC and an excellent battery might not be all that far off a 6S+ with a Samsung chip and average battery...
Stop it....
If you have an 6s with the same battery life as an 6s+ then the 6s+ is defective. Simple as that. The battery in the 6s is 1715 mAh compared to the one in the 6s+ which is 2750 mAh. BIG difference.I mean the battery itself. Every component has manufacturing tolerances. You can get a good processor batch, regardless of whether it's Samsung or TSMC, and a battery from a good or bad batch. As there is smoke about the TSMC v Samsung A9 anyway, couple that with a processor from a good wafer & a battery from a good batch and that to me would perform better than a processor from a poor wafer & a battery from a bad batch.
Therefore I see no reason why an exceptional 6S couldn't get within an hour or so of the battery life of a poor 6S+.

64% with almost 4 hours of usage is fine. If that was all screen off time then no, but it isn't.I'm not sure about my 6S+ battery so far, but I've had it less than 48 hours. Maybe someone can tell me if this sounds good or not.
Today I pulled it off charger at 5:45am.
It's now almost 12:30pm and I'm at 64%
* I watched a 50min show on Netflix, pausing a few time, so probably almost an hour of screen on for that.
* Listening to a streaming podcast on the Podcasts app for 45min on my ride to work. Screen was off for most of it.
* Been checking and sending email here and there over the course of the morning. Nothing intense, but a good steady stream of email.
* Checking and replying to a few posts on Tapatalk here and there.
* Looking at a couple spreadsheets and pdfs in Adobe Reader and Google Sheets.
My current stats are.
Usage: 3 hours, 51min
Standby: 6 hours, 37min
Does this seem to be on point with other people's results?
Only difference is resolution and it isn't by much.I said within an hour or so of usage, not the same. Also, the 6S+ is much more of a battery draining device than the 6S. It isn't the same phone with a bigger battery.

So all the reviews and the fact that I posted a video showing the difference mean nothing to you?The screen size itself, the resolution and the fact there's a scaler at work all the time.

Here's another battery comparison between the 6s and 6s+

Your grasping at straws. Give it up. Show me reviews/comparisons where a 6s beats the 6s+ in battery life please. There's an hour difference WiFi browsing according to Apple's stats. That's not huge considering the size difference between the batteries is it?

The topic was that a 6s had the same battery life as a 6s+. Impossible. I was trying to help the guy out and you chimed in about how it could be possible. I don't see how that could be. No point in continuing this convo and annoying everyone with our rants.I haven't once said that. I said that it seems possible to me that a 'good' 6S could get within an hour or so of a 'bad' 6S+.
