Although the 6s plus has 3% more battery than the tsmc but that doesnt make any difference IMO. Anyway, i dont know how and if i can exchange my 6s plus to another one for this reason. Any suggestions?

BTW, the 6s plus is on Airplane mode on Wifi calling the whole time.

We will need to see what apps you're running & their duration on both phones. You can do that by pressing down on the clock icon next to last 24 hours/last 7 days.

My 6s+ samsung doesnt reach 9.5 hours of usage. Wish its longer though. I had 6s before but exchange is twice because of screen defect. I got 2 samsung and 1 tsmc. Unbelievably, my 6s tsmc battery is almost the same as my 6s+ samsung.

My 6s+ has yellow tint on top but im just tired of exchanging it. I just wish the battery will last even a little longer than 9 hours for a 2750mhz battery.

My first 6s plus has battery life almost the same as my old 6. Called apple care and they ran diagnostic over the phone, said battery is fine and instructed me to restore to iOS 9 as I was on beta before--guy at AppleCare said beta software is not supported. So I did the restore and battery life remain bad. Went to the Apple Store a few days later, show them my battery stats/usage, right away they said make a genius appointment to take a look. I was lucky to have an appointment in an hour. And in that hour, the battery dropped almost 30%. Genius ran some test, but after I said it just dropped almost 30% in an hour, he said that clearly somethings is wrong with the battery/your phone. He said that there's no battery replacement for the 6s plus yet, so they have to replace my phone instead. Got the replacement, set up as new, and battery has been way better compare to the first phone.

So it is possible that something is wrong with the phone. It doesn't sound right at all for a 6S+ to have the same battery life as a 6s. Maybe go see a genius at the Apple Store to see what they say first?

were you using your phone when it dropped to 30%?

If we ignore him he might give up. No more responses to him. It's all repeat from the last 10 threads anyway. No one will convince him of anything. And we are all fed up with his same posts over and over.

He is surely on my ignore list so I can't even see his posts :p

You need to look at some real tests which tell you they use 105 phones to test:

Any 6s would beat a 6s plus samsung chip version in average usage, just the do the simple math.

Need clarification.

U mean any 4.7 inch (TSMC or Samsung) 6S would be beat any Samsung 5.5 6S plus?

I find that incorrect since i own both and I could only get 7 hours (my real time) hard battery life out of my Samsung 6S 4.7 inch.

I get around 9 hours real time out of my Samsung 6S plus

And I was getting 11 hours real time out of my TSMC 6S plus.

When I made the appointment at around 7:15pm it's at 42%. I was using it sparingly not much at all with Bluetooth and location off, By 8:20pm when I see the genius phone is it 13%.

That's close to 2 hours difference between Samsung and tsmc in 6s+.. Would be interesting to see if someone has both 6+ and 6s+ Samsung..

I got 11 hours and 23 mins real time with my Samsung chip. Mostly browsing. Will post when I have another boring unproductive day off again to be on my phone enough with alot of real time usage. I wish I was a student again.

As promised here is the results from draining the last of the 37% remaining from previous post. With results like these I have no issues with the battery life of the 6s Plus. With heavy use away from home I go all day and into night with reserves. When at home on strong Wi-Fi ac, and using AT&T Wi-Fi calling I get phenomenal endurance, better call quality and all phone, text functions work flawlessly. Never once used low power mode.
With almost 11 hours usage and 105 hours standby along with the overal speed of phone I am more than pleased I upgraded from the 6 Plus.

Which chip do you have ?

Light use.. lots of mail, phone, music and safari. Still, it averages out to over two hours per day, since I didn't have to charge my 6S+ for four days.

U basically are getting 8 hours of real use since music in background doesn't consume battery unless u are actively streaming Pandora or Spotify.

If u are just playing music already downloaded on phone it's very misleading to add those 2 hours.

Would be harsh to just cut off all of those 2 hours off of his usage time as well. His standby of hundred hours should count towards something too.

Some games yes, didn't these last days was home so used mac pro. I do have settings adjusted like no background app updates, most gps location services are off, like the ad ones. Have screen motion off as it does nothing for me. Selected notifications. Things like that. I have noticed battery life improved during first two weeks. As I refined things. And I have iCloud active for updates storing backups, pictures etc.

I didn't add anything. Being as transparent as the battery thing allows, showing apps, usage etc. if you feel more comfortable subtract two hours. I have no point to prove one way or other.use Apple Music. Bluetooth to car when I am driving. I'm happy with battery. If I need juice I get one percent increase per minute by using iPad charger, so 15 minutes plugged in gets me 15%. Usually don't run this low, just saw long standby and thought I would run it out and see. So watched video tube and tv to run it down last night. I try to keep it between 40% and 80% usually. Not religious about it though.

Yeah same kind of performance I'm getting. I probably benefit a lot from a good Wi-Fi signal and speed. Have checked many times getting 400 Mbps over AirPort Extreme and my cable gets 125 Mbps internet connection.

iPhone has always had outstanding standby time as long as u disable the usual stuff.

My iPhone barely goes down 5-7% a day if I leave it alone.

So with almost five days his iphone would have used up 30 percent minimum on standby. He gets about eight or nine hours 'real use' aside of that. Good stuff.

By now there is enough discussion and information about quality of cell signal, brightness, wifi, gaming ect which can affect the battery life. This thread references each users situational battery usage. This post no doubt will get buried in time but for the sake of not starting a new battery life thread I would be interesting to see what the results for users who have a "maximum preservation" mentality. In other words how long can your battery last IF you try to make it last aside from standby.

This would include reducing brightness, turning on airplane mode when applicable, using low power mode from the start, but still using your phone for leisure and pleasure.

In a nut shell how far can your battery life stretch when stretched, and what is the top Usage App and Time in that App.

A few pages back(pg32) I posted my results which was 19:19usage 57:42standby and that was running the phone completely dead with about 11 hours of podcast streaming. I'd be curious to see if this is an expected result?, better or worse.
