I have a lot of involuntary movements and lack fine muscle coordination. So yes, it's hard for me to hold the watch and put pressure on the strap release button at the right angle and with the proper amount of force.

I was curious about the leather link, but they didn't have it for the smaller size watches, and now it's in that superfine fabric instead of leather. :(

I tried the Peaks app, and while it's given me some good hints about how to arrange my schedule, after a while, it just showed the same info every day, so I stopped looking at it. Maybe if I paid for the premium features it'd be more useful, but it's not like my days vary much.
Oh, I see! That’s why you even charge your AW inside out with solo loops. The leather link is available for 41mm. I have one that’s S/M, and I do have a small wrist like yours. I do pull it all the way around to get it to fit perfectly. FineWoven is indeed easy to fray, to be honest. Still sticking to leather for this purpose.

The Peaks app is fantastic! I’ve developed healthier habits since I started using it last summer. The new update allows you to customize it to your work schedule. I received Peaks Pro for free; all I had to do was leave feedback and meet with the developers on Zoom. They’re incredibly friendly young men from Austria who created this app for Apple Watch and iPhone users alike.

I hope you get some help, if needed.

I don’t have Fitness+, so can’t access the guided meditations.
Hey there, buddy! Guess what? The health office saw my referral form and left me an iMessage. They’ve scheduled me for talking therapy with a counsellor next Tuesday during my lunch break.

I’m hoping to chat with her and get this all out of my head. I’ll keep logging my mood in State of Mind and doing the Fitness+ guided meditations during my lunch breaks and whenever I get home. I’ll also try sleep meditation before bed.

I’m hoping this helps me sort things out, but I did sleep well last night, so that’s a plus!

Guys, did you experience any side effects from these medications? I heard on TV ads that antidepressants cause sleep changes.

Also, I got shy today. I had family issues yesterday. During a family outing, I was once filled with joy, soaking up the sun and browsing tech accessories. After that, went to grab some food from a store. But I got distracted, grabbed a soda, and some other items. My dad thought I was depressed because I forgot to greet the cashier. I kept fumbling with my rewards card trying to find it on my iPhone and slurred my words.

This led to another argument and yelling as I tried to distance myself. I knew I was next.

I requested counseling from my school’s mental health department thru their referral system. I hope they call me soon to discuss my case.

The Fitness+ Calm meditation videos are helpful, but I’ve had challenging times too. We’re in this together.
When I first started taking my antidepressants, they would make me drowsy within 20 minutes. Now I do not have any side effects related to sleep. I have to drink coffee at night on nights I’m struggling to fall asleep in order to go to sleep. Coffee actually slows my brain down and I’m able to fall asleep easily.

Understandable. It’s the opposite of drinking coffee in the evening for most of us who take non-drowsy pills or don’t drink any at all. I usually have a warm, black cup of coffee in the morning. Sometimes, when I have an opportunity, I get a cup of iced coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts or Krispy Kreme. Usually, I get the small or medium size. I only go bigger with a Venti size at Starbucks, but they haven’t had happy hour or weekend offers as much as before.

I sometimes do drink coffee in the evenings when I work on my computer before bed, but I don’t drink all of it. I still go to bed and drift off, but it takes a little longer than usual. I still sleep well.

Here’s yesterday’s sleep tracking data, DST pushed some things around and I slept a little bit late due to catching up with things after a huge day of classes.

My daughter had a dance competition on DST, so I only had 3 hours of sleep with no sleep tracking. I already have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine, so Sunday pretty much screwed my week up for having quality sleep. It’s almost Thursday, and I’m still trying to catch up without dozing off every chance I get.

Oh really? A lot of awakes, right? Dear me it does get hard to sleep track on DST and sleep disorders. I do not think in the UK where our OP is located has daylight savings time, but he told me that he put off sleep tracking as his hands got so dry these last two nights.

I couldn’t fall asleep until 11pm. I lost an hour of sleep and was up at 3:45am.

Oh dear that’s when the clock changed and moved forward! I did get awakened that time too! But I got to bed at around the same time as you night before DST.

Y’all good morning 🌅 my Apple Watch wearers! Since I got an extra day off on my weekend as school got canceled on Thursday due to torrential rains in my area I have been able to sleep at least 7 hours since yesterday. Now I got almost 8 hours of sleep y’all!!!

I missed 2 days on my CPAP machine and 1 day of my anxiety and depression meds, due to falling asleep too early one night and an overnight visit to urgent care for one of my sick kids who now has the flu. I’m running off of 3 hours of sleep today and will try to nap for 2 hours with my machine and go to bed early tonight.

Got it. Our OP even skipped taking his psychiatric medications for weeks or even months. He did have an episode of depression that was discussed in a different thread. However, I suggest you follow my advice to Cockney Rebel: regardless of how you feel after stopping or starting these medications, still consult your GP (🧑‍⚕️) to let them know how you’re feeling and if your condition is improving.

On a different note I only slept for a couple of minutes less than the last few nights, but it’s still less than 6 hours. I slept a bit later last night because I had things to do all day.

Morning, bro. 🌅

I forgot you don’t use Fitness+ on your Apple Watch, iPad, and iPhone. In the USA, they offer a lot of free trials on Fitness+ and Apple Music, so I’ve been using it since I got my Apple Watch Series 6.

It’s a game-changer for my physical and mental health, and I love assigning workouts using Stacks on busy days.

It was a tough weekend! I couldn’t sleep last night. I went to bed around midnight yesterday after catching up on emails and shutting door to maintain my privacy while I am working on my laptop and waiting to charge my watch. My watch didn’t start tracking my sleep until 1:30 am!

It’s daylight savings time, but now it’s back to the amount of time I slept when I slept when I had two summer school classes online and finals!

How are things going, my friend? @The Cockney Rebel Have you tried drinking tea or moving your hot chocolate time before going to bed, also winding down with your iPad Pro?
Follow up y’all.

I had my talking therapy session with a different counsellor, a student intern, during my lunch break yesterday.

She’s chill 😎 and nice and has many Apple products, including an iPhone 15 Pro Max. In natural titanium.

She liked my use of the iOS journal feature, state of mind feature, and Fitness+ meditations.

She checked my sleep tracking data I showed her like the one above and noticed that my sleep actually went down from these family issues.

She knew my arguments from family issues were bad and she really more understood my point after I exported the data from HealthKit.

I used the coping skills I learnt from my grief counsellor last year and she suggested I continue, including the new Fitness+ breath meditations.

I’ll have weekly sessions with her until April.

I hope our OP gets the help he needs too. We’re all in this together.

I'm glad you're getting things sorted out. Hopefully, @The Cockney Rebel as well. 😉

👍

My counsellor had these colourful posters with the self care stuff on it, reminds me of the counsellors office I had back in high school. Even the chill music playing in there.

She’s one of the newer ones they hired lots of new counsellors and an interim school nurse for my school health office.

I’m so glad I could lend a hand during challenging times like our OP’s. The last update from @The Cockney Rebel was yesterday afternoon. I shared some photos of my Apple Watch with the I Am complications I was using on the Modular face. I was having a great time helping my friends machine their parts in CNC machining class:

Kinda slept less two times earlier this week as I had to study up for a test for physics class but I caught up to it now.

What’s y’all up with your sleep tracking, Apple Watch wearers?

I restarted tracking my sleep recently and it isn't that surprising to me. I have been in the "5s" for a while. Occasionally I'll get more than 7 hours but that's rare. Never 8.

I'm still stuck on non-DST time and I expect that to stay until the morning has sunlight again. I also need to break this recent habit of getting to bed so late.

I'm having to stop sleep tracking for a while, as my hands are so dry (OCD: over-washing) that I need to cream my hands through the night.

Don't want to get cream into the crevices of my watch, so that's that.

I know from the time that I have been tracking my sleep, that it is all over the place, so no need to continue.

If things change with my mental health, I may go back to it, but I can't have my hands flaking, cracking and bleeding, so that takes priority.

Wishing everyone well.

Yeah, that’s how it was when certain factors like stress, anxiety, or depression could disrupt sleep cycles. Even having to do a lot of homework and studying for exams, which I had two 5 hours sleep nights this week, could be a problem.

Like a big huge paper I have to write for politics class online, and a midterm exam.

So, I make sure to take advantage of my days off school to sleep a bit more. Last weekend was particularly good; I even managed to sleep for 7-8 hours. I had five days off instead of four because my physics class was canceled due to the rain. 🌧️

Oh no! You waited so long!

When you wash your hands, do you use the Apple Watch handwashing timer? Avoid boiling hot water, as it can dry out your hands. Even some soaps can be irritating. If the water heater is too hot for you to shower or wash your hands, lower it. 😊

Let us know when you’re ready to start tracking your sleep again with your watch! God bless.

Oh, and I totally forgot something! Do you have a camera cleaning or electronics cleaning brush handy? I use this to remove any nasty stuff like lotion from the Apple Watch speakers after workouts or when I sweat heavily. It’s also great for removing sunscreen or debris from the speakers. Some AirPods cases you get from the shops have a brush like that.

I even use the blunt edge to pick off pieces of grass, dust, and lint from my iPhone’s USB C port! Rounded so you don’t accidentally hit the pointy part. It came included in a 3 quid 💷 AirPods case that was a red silicone one.

That looks familiar. I was searching for replacement AirPods Pro earbuds weeks ago and this company sold them with this cleaning tool. I found another company that just sells the tool. If you think it's useful it might be worth picking up.

Yea if you go to TJX they sell lots of AirPods cases for both pros, 1 and 2nd gen and the 4th generation with a cleaning brush included.

Check the clearance section they have it for $4. I got a nice red one with it.
