I see plenty here in London. Much less common than regular Apple watches, which seem to be on more than half the wrists I see, but common enough to not be worthy of comment.

I have yet to see one. I do see some regular Apple Watches but they are a minority here compared to fitness and Android watches.

where do you live? that's wild and definitely not the case in Aus.

I see them out and about probably 2 a day, I have converted a lot of friends and colleagues across though

Noticed a couple at the Boston Marathon this year (along with a handful of regular AWs). They really don’t seem to be making much progress with the running/racing crowd.

Agree, Apple seems to be the firm favourite amongst Londoners or those that work in London. I've see a few Ultra's floating around, again not as popular as the standard models, but seen a few. Sightings will probably increase as the weather gets better and people start wearing T-Shirts etc.

It’s probably because some Londoners want people to believe they get out of the city and partake in the extreme sports when in reality they are a desk diver and used like any other Apple Watch .

Hopefully a future Ultra will come equipped with a forcefield feature or a built-in shower for riding the Tube.
Well we're coming into warmer weather now so maybe some sort of air purification/external BO repellent system. You get some really funky smells coming from people on the tube at this time of year and they even smell on the way INTO work so god know what they'll smell like on the way back!?

I've seen a few here in Ohio. I am surprised that it is not as popular as the higher end Garmin's (fenix line up), I see those all over the place.

I’m liking the BO repellent idea, that would be better than offering me information on my depth as I walk to the communal kitchen at work.

A tiny refillable cartridge of ‘Creep Spray’ built in to the lugs of the Watch would also be useful for those unwanted conversations as you step on at Hyde Park Corner too .

Could be that in most of the european countries a lot of people bought aluminium AW and can’t justify the extra-price from 300-500€ SE or series 8 to the 1000€ Ultra?

Just saw another couple of Ultras over the weekend and it made me think of this thread. Both had really nice looking metal bands - it's a good looking watch when done up right. :)

Saw a couple of Ultras at Sundays Copenhagen Marathon - A ton of Garmins though (many of them not even new models, so people don't really change watches all the time)

Maybe see one a week or so in London. Wondering if people genuinely prefer the smaller form factor of the more subtle AW 5/6/7/8 etc?

You need to consider that the number of regular Series Watches you see accumulated over a number of years while all Ultras are brand new. Many people keep their Watches for at least 3-4 years, so it‘ll naturally be a while until the Ultra is as ubiquitous as the regular Watch.
