I Ordered My Retina iMac High End What did you get?

My iMac ordered on launch day with standard shipping, tracking sheet in earlier post, just made it to Alaska after leaving China this morning. Still showing a Friday afternoon delivery in Colorado.

Anchorage, AK, United States 10/22/2014 1:12 P.M. Arrival Scan
Shanghai, China 10/22/2014 8:57 P.M. Departure Scan

Spoke with UPS earlier today via chat (trying to decide whether to switch to 'hold for pickup'). The "early" delivery date of Friday is if customs passes it right through. The "scheduled" delivery date of Monday is if customs wants to hold it for inspection.

Sad face indeed. Though I would bet that Apple products get moved through customs pretty quickly. Just a thought though.

Alright seems like they are pushing out the i5 quickly then since my dad ordered at about 8pm GMT+2. They will probably be picked up by UPS tomorrow and received tuesday / wednesday to be realistic.
 
I think a lot of our mac's are containerized. Not that anyone cares, but mine just arrived in Anchorage, AK; same day and time. Delivery expected Friday.

Ugh... mine is still stuck in China customs. Bugger... Hopefully, they will be able to meet the 24th delivery target set by Apple. Please let it come before the weekend

As for your case, since it was originally scheduled for delivery between 23-27, why don't you give Apple a ring and quote your order number. Tell them that you checked online and its still under process. How will they be able to meet their 27th timeline at this rate?

Just a polite call mind you, no need to take the angst out on them. I found them to be super helpful always... whether it be for orders or for returns. Maybe they can expedite your order and throw in some freebies :D

Mine? Don't have a clue. But it has finally passed customs at 1530 local time. So overnight to SG and hopefully delivered by tomorrow as per delivery date given by Apple.

fingers crossed. Will be nice to have a new system to play around with on a weekend. I play games on Win 7 so will be setting up bootcamp and trying some benchies.

My original estimate was 31st-4th, so I'm over the moon with the 28th. Looking forward to the stops in Korea/Kazakhstan/Warsaw/cologne over the next few days...
 
Just ordered and purchased this set up. Couldn't be more excited!! I'm adding another 8 GB of RAM when I purchase some from OWC.

I ordered on Monday of this week. they just charged my Amex this morning. does this mean it will ship soon?
 
Life is a short and money isn't here to stay ..,

So I ordered my 5K iMac with i7 and 295X
will upgrade the RAM myself and 256GB internal storage is enough for me

and I took the trackpad ... I actually prefer a cheap 10$ mouse to the magic mouse ;-)

It might meet the delivery date. Mine has been sitting in Alaska since yesterday... And I'm guessing they won't delivery it directly to Dulles, it still has to go to Louisville.

i ordered the exact same thing. i'm going to run an external TB drive for mass storage, and like you i will get the RAM in the aftermarket. congrats and enjoy!
 
Ordered day after launch. Maxed out but 512GB SSD instead of 1TB.

Delivery on Tuesday. Now in Anchorage.... coming to Toronto.

Mine got (and is still) stuck in China too. There is nothing Apple can do after it has shipped. If we had called during processing they would have likely upgraded to expedited for free as they have done many time sin the past on new product releases. Live and learn.

iMac stuck on AK for a day

My iMac was stuck in China for two days while it cleared customs. It landed on US soil in Alaska yesterday (Wed) but hasn't moved since.

Anyone else?
