I Ordered My Retina iMac High End What did you get?

I ordered mine Friday afternoon and it still at Processing Order but I do have an estimated date of Oct 27-29 with expedited delivery to Missouri. Wondering if anyone who ordered Friday has seen an update from Processing.

I ordered mine on 17th late night as well. Had an original delivery date of 27-29 Oct.

Last night, it changed to processing and about 20 hrs later, its shipped. Shipping via DHL to Singapore. Delivery estimated by Apple is 24th. But I reckon I'll get it earlier :D

27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display
4.0GHz QC i7 Turboboost 4.4GHz
32GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-4x8GB
3TB Fusion Dr (3TB+128GBFlash)
AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4GB GDDR5
MAGIC TRACKPAD
Apple WL Kybd+User's Guide-ZP
COUNTRY KIT-ZP
AppleCare Protection Plan for iMac

Standard shipping btw. We don't get an option for Express in Singapore

Finally have some movement after 2 days of sitting in Shanghai. For reference I placed a custom order about 10 minutes after the Apple Store re-opened on release day and opted for standard shipping. The original planned delivery date was Monday the 27th but right after shipping it changed to an early date of Friday the 24th, which is what it still shows.

I take it this would be the memory I need?

Get the standard 8GB model and then purchase 2 x 16GB kit?

There is no 2x16GB kit on the Crucial site, only 2x8GB (which adds up to 16 GB), so you would have a total of 24GB.

You could buy that and hope they'll have a 2x16GB kit in the future and that the iMac can take it; you could then replace your 2x4 with 2x16 for a total of 48GB.

----------

I'm quite excited for it, but I had a quick question on the RAM. I just purchased 2 16GB kits from Crucial and was wondering if I should install the sticks before the first boot or replace the original Apple sticks after the first boot? I know it sounds silly but would it make any difference? Thank you.

There's always a tiny chance that any product you buy doesn't work at all, so I'd try that out once.

Looks like the UPS shipments that left China an hour ago should be in Louisville around 2:00AM EST (Thursday).

Mine is one step behind yours, just changed to "export Scan" this morning. I'm starting to doubt the 10/24 date. Seems likely it missed today's flight. :(

iMac Retina Almost Maxed Out Order from 10/18

I ordered mine on Saturday, 10/18, with full max out system except for the 3TB Fusion drive. Nothing has happened past "Processing" yet. Last year at this time, I ordered my 2013 MacBook Pro Retina 15 on release day fully maxed out and it was nearly at one week for processing when the stores started receiving them and I got a fully loaded right in the store, despite none ever showing inventory of them and I cancelled my online order. I may be trying that this time.

I bought mine on Friday 17th. It was the base model and it still hasn't changed from processing :/ delivery is between 23rd-27th! Any advice why hasn't shipped yet? I'm in UK!

Yup my box missed the plane and is delayed till next week. What a load of cr_p!

I hate China! (and UPS):mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Are you guys aware that there is at least one report right now stating that this Crucial memory is screwing up iMacs running Yosemite?

Has anyone successfully used this memory to upgrade their iMac on Yosemite?

What report? Never mind I see. Me thinks that is an isolated case of some bad sticks. Doesn't seem to be widespread.

No problems at all

My late 2012 iMac is running 8Gb Apple memory + 16Gb from Crucial. Not a single issue when I installed Yosemite on its firs day. I even think my machine is working even better and smoother. :)

Congrats on your purchases!

I have a few questions before I order...

I have a fully upgraded 2012 rMBP and was wondering how much faster the base riMac and the fully upgraded riMac are compared to the rMBP.

Does anyone have some rough estimates? Someone told me that the base riMac is already going to be noticeably faster despite having to drive the 5k display. Is this true?

My order is currently at preparing to dispatch (to UK), has been for nearly 24 hours now. Has anyone from UK or Europe had theirs ship yet?

Also I've ordered two of these 16 GB Kingston Ram kits. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00KQCOV5C

Ah nice I'm in UK, ordered on Friday, still says processing items :/ when's your being delovered? When did you order it?

Mine was delivered today....... This is the longest afternoon at work ever.

Ordered BTO on Thursday evening (PST) with expedited shipping. I think it got delayed one day because of my CC's limit and my bank's not updating it during the WE. Preparing for shipment on Monday morning, shipped on Tuesday morning, delivered on Wed. morning.

Original delivery estimated 24-27/10.

Just ordered with upgraded CPU to i7 and upgraded gfx to the 4gb variant.

Heavy price tag, but it will be a great machine to dev/video conference on.

Mine was also sitting in Shanghai, but departed this morning and just arrived in Anchorage, Alaska. Still on track for early delivery Friday the 24th.

When did you order and what is your config? My dad's i5 (ordered monday) is preparing for shipping but my i7 (ordered tuesday) isn't.
