Update on mine, no..... I'm joking, it's still in processing.

Do you guys get any updates at all during the processing stage?

You do get a preparing to ship that lasts anywhere between a couple of hours and a couple of days before it actually ships.

Then its on to constantly checking the couriers website and swearing at Chinese customs

I'm quite disappointed in the lack of comms for a well established company;

I would have expected;

Processing - I thought this was admin.....

Silly me, customers expect more clarity these days.

I was more concerned about the reviews stating that some of the ports just stopped working.

Export scan finally!!! Let's see if It still makes the Friday scheduled delivery so I can hopefully pick up at Mac store over the weekend.

Getting Fed up with Checking the website and still seeing exception and rImac stuck in China since 20/11, so Phoned UPS again. They reckon it was a random check by the government, customs i guess, but CS lady assured me it had now been released. :rolleyes: Supposedly on its way to me in the UK for delivery tomorrow as promised originally. Not at all convinced but hoping for a change in the tracking status... I might have to play the lotto this week if it does :D

payment showed up on my discover card as pending
disappeared for a few days
now its back again and i just paid it in full so hopefully this machine gets outa china soon!

Just gave UPS a call myself too,

I asked what the delay was and in broken English was told that there was a problem with no paperwork with the shipment.

I was told I will receive it tomorrow so I asked where about the parcel is now then and was told it is in the UK!

I really hope this is right

Yeah they told me it was still in China. !!! My wife just told me that I am not very patient anymore:eek: Just want my rImac and can bin the PC once and for all:)

I still don't have any tracking so I have no idea where my rImac is :eek:

Yes, that makes two of us - my estimated delivery is 2nd December, dispatched last Friday(21st). I'm expecting to receive an email tomorrow to say that they orders have been merged and tracking can begin (I added a superdrive to my order).

I'm supposed to be Monday 1st because I added the trackpad and extra thunderbolt cable

Mid set-up, and the desk hadn't been dusted yet — all that dust is leftover from my old computer, which I hastily removed before setting this up.

I'm in the midst of getting programs and files set up, which is taking hours and hours. It may go into days... The screen is wonderful, although I haven't had much chance to try it out yet. I did go for a spin in Lightroom, which I found to work fine — there may be a bit of lag in some actions, but I've had it MUCH worse before. Also no problems with Mission Control yet.

To be honest my biggest surprise is the sheer size of the thing! Moving from the 15" Retina MacBook Pro, and being pretty close to the screen, it's taking some getting used to. My sitting position is going to be much healthier with this machine!

I'm also finding I made the right decision with the Magic Trackpad. I actually bought a Magic Mouse for my laptop back when I got it, thinking that I've always despised trackpads and would definitely want a mouse. Well, that turned out to be wrong, because of the multi touch features, and especially the four finger swipe, which is my favourite feature of OS X. The Magic Trackpad is slightly different from a laptop trackpad, but I like it a lot. The size is very nice, and I'm already used to using trackpads for extended periods thanks to my laptop.

All in all this was a great purchase. I hope you all get yours soon!

Looking sweet:cool::):cool:

I have had a trackpad with the Mac pro for a few years now and like you enjoy the swipe gestures. I have gone to add the magic mouse this time so i can get the best of both worlds :D

When I was trying the retina and normal iMac's in store one had a magic mouse and the other the trackpad.

I assumed I'd prefer the trackpad as I love the one on my MacBook but actually preferred the mouse. I went with the mouse in the end but could well end up getting the trackpad as well.

One thing I may end up doing too is going with the wired keyboard. As much as I prefer wireless it would be nice to go back to a full sized keyboard

The other thing is I am running on 16GB memory for now. I'd like to upgrade to 32GB, but I'd rather not be spending even more money on myself with Christmas fast approaching. It seems to be okay with 16GB for now, although when I start working with 10GB PSB files in Photoshop I think I'll start to suffer.

It's the numpad that gets me. I've lived without it for two years, but actually it's a pain not to have, especially when you get programs that use it for keyboard shortcuts, as well as just for data entry. That's why I went with the wired keyboard.
